3rd Sep 2023 (8 mo. ago)I cannot rate Hilton King and Locke highly enough, particularly Jenny Hall (Head of Lettings). From my first contact with Jenny, she has gone above and beyond to find a wonderful home for my wife and I to rent. Unlike many of the other estate agents I had spent weeks trying to contact to arrange viewings, Jenny got back to me almost immediately and booked me into to see two properties at short notice – the first of which we loved and ultimately rented. This was particularly helpful because my wife and I had only a short amount of time to find a property to rent and were returning from having lived overseas for two years. Jenny was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and transparent which was also very reassuring for me as a tenet. Once we moved into the property, Jenny and the entire Hilton Locke and King team have been fantastic in resolving a few teething problems which are an inevitable part of renting any property. Not only did Jenny work tirelessly to coordinate between us and the landlord but she also intervened with several third parties to help get our issue resolved. The issues were dealt with promptly and with great sensitivity and care. More than that, Jenny was incredibly personable with my wife, to the extent that she went as far as to buy my wife flowers – something which was incredibly appreciated as we waited for an issue to be resolved. I really cannot rate Hilton Locke and King highly enough. Having previously had some bad experiences renting, I never thought that I would be writing such a positive review for an estate agent. If you are looking for a property to rent in and around the Langley area as we were, however, Hilton Locke and King come strongly recommended.

11th Jan 2024 (17 weeks ago)Our property purchase experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. We initially were made to believe we were entering a straightforward quick purchase transaction with no chain involved. They also asked us to pay them commission to get our offer accepted by the seller, which is extremely cheap and unprofessional..! Shortly before exchange, the seller unexpectedly added complications by bringing in multiple delays and suddenly creating a chain. This caused considerable disruption and uncertainty for us... For well over 3 months. During the process, we felt pressured to complete the purchase and accommodate the seller's unconventional requests, including a leaseback arrangement with an open timeline for his move-out. We were also concerned about veiled threats related to our mortgage. We believe these actions were motivated by factors beyond standard business practices. We are particularly troubled by the estate agent's involvement in suggesting such an unusual rental arrangement, especially considering the seller's previous false accusations against us with the police and seller's own family supporting us with complete respect and being apologetic for the seller's untrue behaviours. We trust that our experience will open the eyes of people to make optimal decisions in their property matters.

The initial meeting with Raj was positive , reassuring and welcoming and they really care about managing your property and keep upto date. We are happy with the services from Raj and his team. Compared to other agencies where you are just a number the staff here seems to care about doing a good job. I highly recommend Woodend Estates for thei services for Renting, selling ,Buying or any other financial services.

4th Oct 2023 (7 mo. ago)Unprofessional, incompetent and got harassed for being a prospective landlord. They changed the service % fees after they found a prospective tenant. They couldnt get the listing and the details right.
25th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)Flat wasn't clean on move - in date. Hairs in the sink, used cotton buds on the floor, and someone's filthy bed sheets still on a bed. Total disregard for tenants as we were told this is rentable condition. Bedroom 2: broken bed slats with another filthy mattress on top is in rentable condition according to the management at everstar properties. We were told the flat would be fully painted and someone just came around with a paint brush to touch up some marks. A totally unacceptable rental experience. We now have to wait a week for beds promised to be delivered on the move - in date of 03/12. No offer of compensation given for the inconvenience and broken promises. Not even an apology. We were treated as if we were stupid. No one should have to live in filth

I believe they took advantage of the fact that I was abroad, so they continued to receive the full management fee without doing anything!! Take a good look at these photos and do your homework before signing up with these greedy, lazy, incompetent estate agents!! If I could put zero stars I would.

Communication had to be prompted from the start, no viewings until I suggested changes to the advert, the is no responsibility taken by the staff. They are more happy to ignore your questions and hope you go away. Steer well clear
