17th Aug 2021 (4 years ago)Received a letter to say i was liable to pay cost towards a fence which is on my neighbours ground. The estimate from the companies clearly state who is responsible and my address is not on the estimate but they are trying to say it is on the title deeds. I called my solicitor yesterday morning who got back to me in the afternoon and told me it was absolutely incorrect, There is a communal pathway between the two properties and each property has their own individual boundary. Therefore not liable to help with cost of fencing. However my solicitor also told me that the fencing provided when property was built was wooden fence posts with 3 lines of wire to separate the gardens at the front this separation was between 26 and 28 and then a fence between 30 and 32 as there was no requirement to separate 28 and 30 due to pathway. At the back of the house each property had the same wooden posts with 3 wires strung across. Through time resident decided they wanted more privacy and they have all done this in different manors. IE. Hedges, fence panels and some installing brick walls all paid by the individual owner / resident of own property. This company has decided to take it upon themselves to pester residents which have been in their property for over 50 years to subsides their property owners bank account by telling them they need to pay up. I have already put up fencing in my back garden which has enhanced both my neighbours gardens without asking them to contribute to it. I have also had issues with this company as regards to the maintenance of the back gardens they are supposed to be managing over grown bushes,trees blocking out the light to my garden and damaging my garden hut. Which due to the trees and bushes have caused side of shed to be replaced due to dampness caused by the bushes that had grown wild and the roof had to be felted again due to the trees and leaves. I also have a job every year clearing up all the leaves which fall on my decking and the destruction caused to my decking which needs to be painted every year. I have yet to have an apology from the so called business with regards to this and for them to hide behind a title deed. I think they should check before trying to bully people out of their money.
18th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)Cant leave zero stars but have to say the staff really leave a lot to be desired quite rude and disrespectful, especially Katie. I would not recommend them to anyone. No response from Lucy after contacting them about Katie's behaviour. but good to see they like to leave meaningless automatic responses
15th May 2026 (5 weeks ago)The team at Slater Hogg in Largs were absolutely exceptional from start to finish - i can't recommend them highly enough. We saw a number of estate agents before selling our flat and it was a no-brainer to go with the Slater Hogg team who stood out from the start, with such a positive can-do attitude, and friendliness. They were clear and informative on costs, timeframes, and processes. Judith, Gill, Tracey, Lisa, Stephen and the team were highly efficient throughout the whole process and communication from them was outstanding. They kept me up to date, responded quickly to queries, and took time and care to talk through viewings on the flat and next steps with absolute clarity. The process of selling a property is always a stressful one and the team made the whole thing seamless, efficient and much less stressful, as i knew i was in safe hands with them. Utterly outstanding service!

So we were very pleased to place the sale of our property in the hands of the staff there. They were extremely efficient and couldn't be more helpful with any issues that arose during the process. Communications, a critical issue for those coping with the stress of selling or buying properties, was outstanding at all times. Their experience and expertise meant that I had no anxiety about what needed to be done. As well as being professional, they were also friendly and understanding and kept me informed with what was happening. The flat was well presented and publicised and it was sold very quickly thanks to them. I am very grateful to the estate agents and solicitor who did all this for me.
6th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)This is the second time I have used Taylor and Henderson for the sale of a property and they continue to go above and beyond to provide a fantastic service. I couldn't reccomend Hannah and the team enough. Everything was of such a high standard from the marketing down to the viewings. Our house was sold within 3 days and achieved above home report which is all down to the team at Taylor and Henderson Saltcoats. I would recommend them to anyone for buying or selling a home
10th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)I used Hollie McDicken for solicitor conveyancing to purchase my first house and she was amazing, I was kept informed all the way through and she didn’t put a single foot wrong. Sometimes you hear horror stories about Solicitors taking an age to reply or respond but I had 0 issues with this and would not hesitate to use Barnetts Services again

7th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)I just wanted to say, very early stages, but I just phoned to enquire about a property and the lady I spoke with was so knowledgeable, helpful and cooperative. I have had disappointing experiences with Taylor and Henderson, who were borderline rude and genuinely seemed to have no interest in selling the properties or any information at all. I was actually dreading calling another estate agent and I was so pleasantly surprised by how good Coast were.

25th Feb 2026 (16 weeks ago)The agent was excellent in all aspects , it was a sale with some technical hitches which neither the estate agent, lawyer or ourselves could have predicted - the first agreed buyer pulled out of sale just a few days before exchange of contract - this caused extra expensive and acceptance a much reduced offer Disappointed by first buyer
