14th Mar 2024 (5 weeks ago)Lack of communication and not pro-active as I had to instigate them doing anything. Pricing is terrible everything is an extra add on with vat on everything. Too expensive for lack of contact and or proactivity.
17th Aug 2021 (2 years ago)Received a letter to say i was liable to pay cost towards a fence which is on my neighbours ground. The estimate from the companies clearly state who is responsible and my address is not on the estimate but they are trying to say it is on the title deeds. I called my solicitor yesterday morning who got back to me in the afternoon and told me it was absolutely incorrect, There is a communal pathway between the two properties and each property has their own individual boundary. Therefore not liable to help with cost of fencing. However my solicitor also told me that the fencing provided when property was built was wooden fence posts with 3 lines of wire to separate the gardens at the front this separation was between 26 and 28 and then a fence between 30 and 32 as there was no requirement to separate 28 and 30 due to pathway. At the back of the house each property had the same wooden posts with 3 wires strung across. Through time resident decided they wanted more privacy and they have all done this in different manors. IE. Hedges, fence panels and some installing brick walls all paid by the individual owner / resident of own property. This company has decided to take it upon themselves to pester residents which have been in their property for over 50 years to subsides their property owners bank account by telling them they need to pay up. I have already put up fencing in my back garden which has enhanced both my neighbours gardens without asking them to contribute to it. I have also had issues with this company as regards to the maintenance of the back gardens they are supposed to be managing over grown bushes,trees blocking out the light to my garden and damaging my garden hut. Which due to the trees and bushes have caused side of shed to be replaced due to dampness caused by the bushes that had grown wild and the roof had to be felted again due to the trees and leaves. I also have a job every year clearing up all the leaves which fall on my decking and the destruction caused to my decking which needs to be painted every year. I have yet to have an apology from the so called business with regards to this and for them to hide behind a title deed. I think they should check before trying to bully people out of their money.

27th Feb 2024 (7 weeks ago)Requested a home report in June 2023, none given. Asked my solicitor to request it, no response. Asked in February 2024 for another report and June 2023 report, no response. Spoke to one of the agents on the telephone once. He kept referring to me as sir despite me telling him numerous times I'm a Miss. Unprofessional and I feel sympathy for their clients who are using them to sell their property. They unfortunately aren't aware that they simply don't respond to requests for home reports so they're sat on the market for prolonged periods. Avoid.
4th Apr 2024 (15 days ago)I have recently completed the letting process with Slater Hogg & Howison (Kilmarnock branch) and myself and my son are soon to move to a property we are very keen on. I was greatly assisted along the way by Bernard, whose expertise, diligence and compassion were outstanding. I felt he went above and beyond during this experience, which included a few curve balls being encountered, of which he ultimately sorted out! I cannot commend Bernard highly enough for his competency, friendly nature and commitment and I am sincerely grateful for his assistance during this time. Also, many thanks to Shannon for her help and advice delivered in a friendly and professional manner.
25th Mar 2024 (25 days ago)When I decided to sell my house in Barrhill I consulted with the long established agent who sold the house to us, some 16 years before. He quoted a sale figure with which I was happy. I was chatting socially with a dear friend who once worked with Kevin Doyle at 'Bruach' and she suggested that I get a second opinion from them. Without even seeing the house Kevin told me that he could achieve a fair asking price, some 30(% above the quote obtained from the original agent. He and Karen his negotiator were dulying instructed., Many hours were spent with drones and cameras and within 4 days an extremely professional brochure was submitted for my approval before being lodged with 'Rightmove'. To my utter astonishment an offer was made (after viewing) at over the asking price within 5 days of hitting the Internet and the sale eventually concluded successfully. If you want an honest, accurate, objective and achievable outcome totally unencumbered by local entrenched attitudes and practices, then Bruach should be your first stop. If you want a personable, professional team on your side with a healthy dose of excellent advice leavened by good humour then you will find all of these with Kevin and Karen. I recommend Bruach without reservation and am happy to speak to any of their clients, whether buying or selling, to underpin and confirm this review. James D
15th Apr 2024 (4 days ago)When the valuer first came to see our property we were very impressed and excited by his demeanor, he was very enthusiastic and he promised us he could get us top market prices and that he would have “no problem” in selling our home. We quickly found out that Igloo don’t phone you to inform you that you have a viewing as we had people turning up to view our home when we were unaware and not ready to have a viewing. Also days would go by after we did have a viewing without Igloo letting us know how it went or even that they were having trouble contacting the viewers. It took 6 months for us to sell our home, with us phoning Igloo several times to discuss lowering the price or changing something in our property. Not once did anyone from Igloo phone to discuss how we could sell the house quicker. In the end we lowered our asking price by £15000 and sold it that morning. Had there been a more accurate price put on the property, or Igloo had called to explain that the market was fluctuating then the property would have sold quicker and we would have been able to look at new properties rather than still making mortgage payments on the property we were in
23rd Jan 2024 (12 weeks ago)Absolutely outstanding service. Couldn't fault them and can't speak highly enough of the experience we had. If I was ever selling again, I would use Barrhead Property Centre in a heartbeat. Declan is a great guy - he has the perfect balance of professional and friendly, and is so so helpful with every aspect of the sale and mortgage services. There is a family feel to the service provided. Our house was sold quickly at closing date, at a higher price than we expected. If you're considering using Barrhead Property Centre, just do it, you will not regret it.

9th Jun 2019 (4 years ago)Do not trust this company. We dealt with the previous iteration of the owners company and are now being left to clean up their mess. We should have gotten rid of them sooner.... leaving this review in the hope that other landlords won’t have to deal with the loss of over £2000 in rental payments plus the stress of figuring out what to do with our tenant now... even with the loss of rent I still may have left a good review if Amanda and Craig has worked with us to help figure things out (or even provide the tenants details) but the only response to any communication that we have is to essentially gloat that their old company doesn’t exist and there is no recourse for us. Pretty poor behaviour for a human being never mind a business owner.

They managed our property sale in Swinton and consistently went over and above throughout the process. We had full professional photos, videos and drone capture, showing full property views which helped our property stand out and seemed to lead to more viewings. We hit a snag in the process when a sale fell through, however AB got our property back up for sale and it was resold the next day. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the local area.
17th Apr 2024 (2 days ago)They were fine when I first took out the rental, but since I terminated the lease they've been awful. Unresponsive to emails, delaying returning the deposit, for a different reason every time I call them about it. Really disappointed in their total lack of professionalism. They're not even showing any common courtesy, in fact they are downright rude now. Like many other reviews I fully believe they are trying to retain as much of the deposit as they can for as long as they can. Be very wary if you are thinking of renting a property from them, they're exactly the kind of shoddy business that gives estate and letting agents a bad rep.

I was kept up to date with feedback and my house was featured regularly on social media. Managed to secure a great offer above home report. Highly recommend!
15th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)Well what can I say? From the first time I saw those video adverts for Montgreenan on social media I took an interest. We were looking to sell our Bungalow in Ayr. We did the usual thing got a few Agents in and listened to how they would use their resources to sell our property. Once speaking to Michael he was very knowledgeable of the local market. He understood customer expectation and the reality of going with a good price and being realistic about what we could achieve. Montgreenan aren't the cheapest but they are value for money. You can call with queries and there was always an honest and reassuring voice to smooth out any concerns. We had our first viewings booked in and got an offer very quickly. Michael dealt with all the viewings. Throughout the process we got regular updates with Montgreenan alway being very accountable and on the odd occasion visiting rather than an email or phone call. We received an amazing service and would highly recommend Michael and Montgreenan to anyone who wants a smooth and transparent sale of their Property. 5 stars to them if I could give more I would.
