13th May 2020 (6 years ago)I really wanted to like the agency. However, having just dealt with some other estate agents I can honestly say that Phillips and CO are very old fashioned and the worst at communication. Let me explain more. TLDR; our purchase fell through after months of discussions. We were initially told by the agent that there is no chain, after weeks of chasing they eventually confirmed that there is a chain - all that needed to happen was a phone call the vendors and some shouting at them. Anyway, We put this hurdle behind us and agreed to wait as the vendor had already found a house. It has been 2-3 months of constant chasing for updates which normally goes like this: 1. I send an email asking for an update 2. A week goes by with no response 3. I call them to find out what is going on 4. They give me an excuse that the vendors aren’t responsive but they are chasing as much as possible 5. They tell me they will call me back once they have spoken with the vendor 6. Another few days...still nothing 7. I call them, raise my tone and again get some stupid response. I fully appreciate that the vendors aren helpful. The issue I have with this estate agent is that they have poor communication skills, no idea on how to manage customer expectations. I have never had to chase an estate agent so much, it’s normally other way around - they chase and you hide! Avoid if possible guys!
29th Sep 2023 (2 years ago)The company is horrible. They are not interested in anything. They are very unprofessional, not responding to emails or phones. They are not refunding a deposit and finding unrealistic excuses not to refund the deposit. I won't recommend anyone to work for the company. Very very bad experience.
14th Apr 2022 (4 years ago)I'm very happy that I chose foxton to sale my House it takes only 2 weeks. What I can say they are the best I recommend any one who want to sale there house go with foxton.
25th Feb 2019 (7 years ago)We recently rented a property through Marcus Telford. Jas was great at setting up the viewing, and Aran has been great at getting everything sorted, offering to help where necessary, he even responded on the weekend when we transferred funds, resulting in peace of mind and not having to wait until the Monday to ensure it had arrived safely. He has been quick to respond (within a couple of hours, sometimes minutes) to questions, and never made us feel like any question was one too many. He made amendments to agreements in a very timely manner to ensure all was processed smooth and quickly and went above and beyond where possible.

They dropped prices over a few weekends and gave the impression there was a problem but, the fact we sold it privately within days of making it available elsewhere only goes to show their lack of scruples.

We were originally looking for our local estate agency online when Elite popped up. At first, we were not expecting much, but from the moment we spoke with them, they were professional, knowledgeable and very clear in their advice. I had seen similar listings to mine on Rightmove that had been sitting on the market for over seven months, so to receive the offer we did, over the asking price, was honestly mind-blowing. The property was sold off-market, which made the result even more impressive. Elite clearly had access to the right buyers and knew how to position the property properly. Everything was handled quickly, discreetly and professionally from start to finish. We also realised that Elite has agents located across London and beyond, which gave us the benefit of wider exposure rather than being limited to one local office. I am glad to say the debate of local estate agency versus hybrid agency was won by Elite. My wife said, “pleasant outcomes can come from mistakes,” and in this case she was absolutely right. I would highly recommend Elite International Real Estate to anyone considering selling their property, especially if they want honest advice, strong buyer connections and a proactive agent who can deliver results.
