23rd Aug 2025 (1 year ago)Not too impressed We had a number of viewings but never had any feedback from Bidwells. As far as I can tell they also did not follow up on the potential buyers. Not overly impressed. We have now taken the house of the market and will relist with another agent.

24th Oct 2026 (8 days ago)We had excellent service from Newton Fallowell and in particular Adam Hudson. Having used a different estate agent for several months before without success we moved to Newton Fallowell and found them to be very proactive. We sold the house in relatively quick time. They were also very patient as it took quite some time to get the grant of probate and in fact it was only granted just in time for the sale. I would thoroughly recommend them.

We loved the very first house they showed us and put in an application, which was processed quickly and efficiently.<br><br>The team were thorough and prompt with every reply, and guided us through each step of the process. We've now got the keys to our new home and absolutely love it. We're so excited to start this new chapter in Stamford.<br><br>Would recommend to anyone looking to rent!

Managing the sale from overseas added some complexity, but Paul made it incredibly straightforward, regularly keeping me updated, providing useful market feedback and often responding well outside normal working hours to accommodate the significant time difference.<br><br>What stood out most was how proactive and personally involved he was throughout. He didn’t simply pass things on to others; he took ownership, chased actions across all parties and helped drive the sale through to completion.<br><br>I’m extremely appreciative of the service I received and would have no hesitation recommending the William H Brown Yaxley team, and Paul in particular, to anyone looking to sell a property in the area.

This was my first time renting in the UK, and I'll admit I was a bit nervous after reading various reviews online — but Vincent Shaw proved to be clear, transparent, and professional throughout the entire process.<br><br>The team was always punctual, quick to respond to emails, and easy to reach whenever I needed something. Their online system for payments and maintenance requests made everything simple and efficient. Any small repairs needed at the property were handled promptly by good, reliable professionals.<br><br>I'd especially like to thank Alberto, Tsvetana, and Christianne, who I dealt with most closely throughout my tenancy — always courteous, helpful, and professional. The move-out process was smooth and stress-free as well.<br><br>Overall, a great experience and a team I'd happily recommend to anyone renting in Cambridge.
16th Jun 2026 (20 weeks ago)I recently purchased a house from Harrison rose and i have to say the service i received from them was outstanding the whole way through, and they weren’t even my estate agent! Between a long chain and my solicitor not being the quickest the whole thing took longer than I had hoped but Sonya and Paul were amazing throughout, sending frequent updates as to where we were along the way and even helping to chase my slow solicitor. As a first time buyer the process was a little stressful but their understanding and patience made it all much easier. 16th Oct 2026 (16 days ago)I’ve viewed a lot of properties with Sharman Quinney over the past few months, and one person has consistently stood out: Charlotte Wright. She’s one of those rare estate agents who genuinely loves helping people find their dream home — and it shows in every interaction.<br><br>From the start, Charlotte was incredibly patient and never made me feel rushed, even when I had very specific requirements and a few strong opinions about what I didn’t want. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and kept refining the search until she was finding properties that were almost perfect matches. In fact, she found me the right house three separate times — the only thing that held me back was the infrastructure around the properties, which is entirely down to the council and completely outside her control.<br><br>What I appreciated most was her enthusiasm. I’d joke about wanting to “move the house” to a different location, and without missing a beat she’d smile and say, “I’ll see what I can do.” We both knew it wasn’t possible, but her willingness to entertain the idea made the whole process lighter and more enjoyable. She even humoured my attempt at a “three?for?one deal,” which says everything about her patience and sense of humour.<br><br>And even after my search moved outside Sharman Quinney’s area, Charlotte didn’t just move on. She still emails me, genuinely curious about what I’ve found and whether I’ve put in an offer. That level of care — wanting to know how things turned out even when it’s no longer part of her patch — is incredibly rare. It shows how much she truly invests in helping people find a home, not just a property. When you’re making one of the biggest decisions of your life, choosing the place that’s meant to be your safest space, that personal touch matters more than anything. 9th Sep 2026 (8 weeks ago)These people keep calling me even though I have repeatedly told the they have no permission to store my personal data.- 2nd Aug 2026 (13 weeks ago)I don't usually leave reviews, but having worked in estate agency myself and bought and sold several properties over the years, I feel I'm in a position to provide an informed and balanced perspective.<br><br>I chose Sharman Quinney on a fee of around 1% plus VAT, and unfortunately the level of service I received didn't justify that cost.<br><br>From the outset there were communication issues. I repeatedly tried calling the branch but couldn't get through. When I visited the office, I mentioned this and was told the phones were working. I then called the branch while standing there and none of the phones rang, clearly showing there was a problem. I was told it would be looked into, but I never received any follow-up.<br><br>When valuing my property, I was told there was already a list of potential applicants who may be interested. However, as far as I could tell, those applicants were never contacted. Instead, the marketing appeared to rely almost entirely on Rightmove and Zoopla rather than proactive matching from an applicant database.<br><br>Communication throughout the sale was disappointing. It was often difficult to get calls returned despite leaving voicemails and emails. Viewing feedback was another frustration. Rather than being contacted promptly after viewings, I regularly had to chase for feedback myself, sometimes waiting several days without hearing anything.<br><br>I was also disappointed with the handling of negotiations. We accepted an offer, only to discover around two weeks later that the buyers were still actively viewing other properties. The negotiator was aware of this but didn't make us aware before we accepted the offer. Had we known, it would have influenced our decision-making.<br><br>The communication with buyers also appeared lacking. When the buyers requested a second viewing, we declined because we no longer wished to proceed with them. Despite this, the buyers still arrived at our property at the agreed time, suggesting our decision had not been passed on.<br><br>Once the property was on the market, there was very little proactive contact from the branch unless I initiated it. As a client, I expected more regular updates, even if there had been nothing significant to report.<br><br>My final concern relates to security. After taking the property off the market, we collected our keys from the branch. We were not asked for any identification, proof of address, or even our names before being handed the keys. Given that these keys provide access to someone's home, I found this extremely concerning and below the standard I would expect from any estate agency.<br><br>I appreciate that buying and selling property is a complex process and that not every sale runs smoothly. However, my concerns relate primarily to communication, proactivity and basic procedures rather than the outcome itself. Based on my experience, I wouldn't use this branch again and hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the service for future clients.
