14th Sep 2026 (3 days ago)? 1/5<br>Very disappointing experience.<br>A few years ago, I was due to rent a property in Ely through William H Brown. Everything had been arranged and I had already given notice on my previous home. On the very day I was supposed to collect the keys, I was told that the landlord had changed their mind.<br><br>I had organised everything around the move and was left in an extremely difficult situation, with the real possibility of having nowhere to live. I still remember the stress this caused me and my family.<br><br>I understand that landlords can change their minds, but I expected the agency to make sure everything was secure before allowing me to give notice and prepare to move. Years later, I still remember how badly this was handled. Based on my experience, I would not use them again.

20th May 2026 (17 weeks ago)Don't bother to clean up too much, no matter how hard you try they will still charge you hundreds of pounds. After living at one of their properties for just 6 months, I handed over the house as clean as I got it but they still charged me £560 for deep cleaning. Very disappointed I DON'T RECOMMEND IT!

She was completely transparent, highly respectful, and extremely patient with all of our questions and needs up until the day we moved. Her clear communication made what could have been a stressful process feel effortless and comfortable.

We didn't have the easiest journey (no fault of theirs) with a few difficult buyers but we got there in the end. Constant communication and updates and every member of the team are friendly, helpful and polite. Would recommend!

Chris, Stuart and the team were amazing - always returned calls and did what they said they would do. Excellent marketing pack and photos were the best. They sold our home on the 2nd viewing and the whole process was stress free. It is such a great benefit that they have a local office where you can pop in and have a chat if you have any queries - thoroughly recommend Pennells to help with your next move !

14th Aug 2026 (5 weeks ago)Mislead information. Was advised that if an offer for a house was accepted, the property would be taken off the market ‘subject to contract’.<br>This wasn’t the case. Even though we got as far as having the proceeds with the underwriters and paying fees, the property was still available for the public to ‘outbid’<br>Just became a waste of time.- 4th Sep 2026 (13 days ago)From Phil Nightingale to Matt Pyeman, everything has been professionally and helpfully handled. We had a difficult chain Matt has gone out of his way to offer support. Thank you to all!

Great communication and easy to get hold of when needed, keeping me updated at every stage and making sure everything was in place for the move in. Her friendly and approachable manner really stood out to us. Would highly recommend!

1st Sep 2026 (16 days ago)I have had an EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING experience with Tucker Gardner, and based on my experience, I would NOT recommend them.<br><br>When I initially arranged the tenancy, I was primarily dealing with Richard and Georgia, who were very helpful, responsive and proactive right up until the point I agreed to the tenancy and paid my deposit. Unfortunately, the level of communication and support changed significantly afterwards.<br><br>I was given the room in an unacceptable and, in my view, uninhabitable condition. The room had clearly not been properly cleaned and was full of dust. The bed provided was ripped and stained, and there were concerns regarding what appeared to be an infestation. After raising my concerns twice, I was promised that the room would be professionally cleaned and that a new bed would be provided on the 04th of August (5 days after my tenancy started) Despite these assurances, when I returned from work on the 4th August, none of this had been done. I had to repeatedly chase the agency for the next couple of days, and on one occasion I was told by a member of staff that they were new and would call me back after speaking to someone who could help. I never received that call back either.<br><br>The situation was very difficult as I had just relocated to Cambridge for a job and did not have a place to live, and on top of that had an injury, and had to make alternative arrangements to stay and commute while trying to resolve the situation as Tucked Gardner was unbothered and unresponsive.<br><br>Eventually on the 7th of August 2026 I received an email stating that I’d be relieved from the tenancy effectively. As I was away at the time, I returned the keys on 10 August.<br>It is now 1st of September and I have still received neither my rent refund nor my deposit.<br><br>I have tried calling the agency multiple times and have also emailed them, but have received no response. On 22 August, I finally managed to speak to someone named Henry, who told me that he was not aware of what had happened. He said he would speak to the relevant people and that I would be contacted by phone or email later that day. Despite this, I have received absolutely no follow up and nobody has contacted me since.<br><br>I have also already initiated the process of releasing my deposit through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, but I have still not received the money.<br><br>What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of communication and accountability once I had signed the tenancy and paid my money. The initial level of service gave me confidence, but the experience afterwards was completely different.<br><br>I understand that issues can sometimes arise during a tenancy, but what matters is how an agency responds to those issues. In my experience, I was repeatedly left chasing for basic communication, promised call-backs that never happened, and am now still waiting for money that I was told would be returned to me nearly a month later.<br><br>This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a letting agency. I would strongly recommend anyone considering renting through Tucker Gardner to carefully consider the level of support they may receive once the tenancy is agreed and payment has been made.- 6th Aug 2026 (6 weeks ago)The team were amazing after our initial sale fell through. They had 10 new viewings lined up within days and helped secure a new buyer within 2 weeks, enabling us to continue in our original chain. They were always quick to reply to our messages, and gave us regular updates. Highly recommend.

They kept us in the loop when we had any hiccups they contacted all solicitors accordingly to get clear answers. Georgia was great with our mortgage, even when we ran into a few issues and Tawnee and the rest of her team were so responsive and made us feel secure within our sale. We were kept informed regarding our buyers status and helped us get to completion. We would 100% recommend using them to sell your home.
