11th Aug 2022 (3 years ago)Pocock and Shaw handled the sale of my flat extremely well and at a decent price. They drew up excellent brochure with good photos, regularly made it a featured property on websites, and dealt with all the viewings (there were many) in my absence but kept me fully informed with helpful feedback.
6th May 2026 (6 weeks ago)As a buying agent I’ve had regular contact with Jackson’s in Newmarket over the last few years and I have found them a pleasure to deal with. Both on the purchase and rental side they have always kept me informed of opportunities and been on the front foot keeping me in mind. A special mention to Ed Russell whose help and advice and general availability for a chat have been brilliant and much appreciated

22nd Mar 2026 (12 weeks ago)We have bought and sold numerous properties and never have we not had a single viewing ! It was on the market for 24 weeks without a single viewing. They didn’t communicate well and didn’t make any suggestions as to how we could get viewings. Sadly we have removed it from this agent now. The staff were lovely couldn’t fault them but unfortunately we wouldn’t use again, sorry.

23rd Jan 2024 (2 years ago)Jacob has been the most helpful and patient estate agent we've had the pleasure of dealing with, and believe me, there's been quite a few! Jacob understood exactly the type of property we were looking for from our the first meeting. He suggested multiple properties that matched our criteria and were available for viewings, making our experience so much easier because we didn't have to spend hours trawling through properties sites anymore. He was able to book the viewings at times that suited our needs and accomidated our every request. If you're looking for an estate agent that will make your property search easy and stress free, look no further.
6th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)A few times they didn’t get back to me after a viewing which was annoying. They wanted me to drop the price as the market had gone quiet (Christmas time). I declined and when market picked up I sold my house just under asking price.
18th Dec 2025 (25 weeks ago)the valuer was excellent and gave us confidence that the house was correctly valued. However, for whatever reason, we never got the impression that the people that viewed the house were serious buyers.

15th Sep 2025 (8 mo. ago)We decided to use Sharman Quinney to sell our apartment in November 2024, however our experience was very disappointing, and not reflective of the positive reviews we had previously seen. It took them 15 days to get our advert up on Rightmove once photographs had been taken. Despite being promised our advert would be uploaded before Christmas, it was not uploaded until after Boxing Day. It included several mistakes (things we were not made aware of before it went live). We chased this numerous times, and although some issues were fixed, various issues with the advert still remained. After a month of no viewings and an advert that was never fully corrected, we cancelled our contract with them altogether (at no cost). We then decided to go with a private estate agent who uploaded our advert within 48 hours of photographs. The advert was exactly how we wanted it, and an offer was made on our first viewing, the day after it was put on Rightmove! We are now in our new house and so happy we made the decision to leave SQ. Everything happens for a reason I guess.

3rd Feb 2026 (19 weeks ago)I had been renting a property in Ely for the past 4 years or so through Cheffins and have had nothing but a positive experience. They have always been super quick to respond to any communication and extremely professional while doing so. They were also incredibly understanding, respectful and accommodating of my personal situation. I especially want to call out Bev H who I spoke with the most, she's a real star. Should I decide to rent again in the future or have a property to rent out then Cheffins will be my first choice.

I highly appreciate her efforts to search home for me considering my daughter is about a year old without much struggling. Excellent cooperation all the time I have had an issue related to property. They kept me informed every step of the way and gave me sound advice when I needed it. The sale of my house was a smooth experience with no hiccups and I’d have no hesitation in employing them again with any real estate sales or purchases.
5th Jun 2026 (9 days ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Hurfords Castor throughout my purchase process. What should have been a straightforward communication chain turned into months of chasing, repeated follow-ups and broken promises of “we’ll call you back” that rarely materialised. The most frustrating part has not even been the complexity of the transaction itself, but the complete lack of ownership and urgency despite the fact that my mortgage expiry date was clearly communicated multiple times. I repeatedly found myself having to: chase updates that were promised but never provided follow up multiple times on simple requests contact the office to find out who was even covering the file when the assigned agent was unavailable ask several times for communications to simply be forwarded to the seller At this stage of the transaction, with only days remaining before mortgage expiry, I still found myself struggling to get basic callbacks and confirmations. Reading other reviews, I can unfortunately see that many people appear to have experienced very similar issues around communication and follow-through. Buying a property is stressful enough without clients having to constantly manage the estate agency themselves just to keep momentum on the transaction. I have attached asked the director to intervene at the end of January 2026. It is now May and I still haven't got any replies, nor witnessed any improvements in their client service.
