They drew up excellent brochure with good photos, regularly made it a featured property on websites, and dealt with all the viewings (there were many) in my absence but kept me fully informed with helpful feedback.

15th Jun 2026 (13 days ago)We withdrew from a purchase through Cheffins after what became an increasingly pressured and unprofessional experience.<br><br>Throughout the transaction we felt repeatedly pushed for mortgage and solicitor updates beyond what was reasonable, including requests to contact our mortgage advisor directly. At the same time, important due diligence issues we raised — including arranging further builder access and investigating legal concerns relating to access land — were either delayed or met with pressure to proceed within arbitrary deadlines.<br><br>The final straw was being given a 24-hour ultimatum alongside an exchange deadline before outstanding legal concerns had been properly resolved. Our solicitor had identified issues requiring further investigation, yet we were still being pushed aggressively toward exchange.<br><br>Buying a property is stressful enough without feeling pressured or spoken down to. We were proceedable, financially strong buyers acting in good faith, but ultimately decided to withdraw and pursue another property where the process would be handled more professionally and collaboratively.<br><br>Would not recommend this agent and would never use again.

From initial contact, to the sales details - including a very inventive video, made on the only rainy day for weeks and weeks with a ‘Singing in the rain’ sound track! l had several viewings in the first week and an agreed sale within around 2 weeks ( after having been with another agent for 4 months with no viewings at all) The whole process has been easy, efficient, profession, respectful and friendly. I would highly recommend them and especially if you have a slightly quirky property. Thanks to all.
29th May 2020 (6 years ago)I have used the services of Carter Jonas in both Cambridge and Suffolk. They have repeatedly delivered excellent professional service when the markets have been both buoyant and not. They go the extra mile and are incredibly accommodating. I only once used another agent who over promised and then under delivered. I changed to Carter Jonas again (they were very gracious) as a result I had a buyer within days of the instruction.

Megan McFarlane was incredibly helpful and assisted me throughout, from the initial enquiry right through to moving in. Communication was always prompt and professional. Highly recommend Abbotts and Megan in particular — a truly seamless letting experience.

15th Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)We decided to use Sharman Quinney to sell our apartment in November 2024, however our experience was very disappointing, and not reflective of the positive reviews we had previously seen. It took them 15 days to get our advert up on Rightmove once photographs had been taken. Despite being promised our advert would be uploaded before Christmas, it was not uploaded until after Boxing Day. It included several mistakes (things we were not made aware of before it went live). We chased this numerous times, and although some issues were fixed, various issues with the advert still remained. After a month of no viewings and an advert that was never fully corrected, we cancelled our contract with them altogether (at no cost). We then decided to go with a private estate agent who uploaded our advert within 48 hours of photographs. The advert was exactly how we wanted it, and an offer was made on our first viewing, the day after it was put on Rightmove! We are now in our new house and so happy we made the decision to leave SQ. Everything happens for a reason I guess.

2nd Jun 2026 (26 days ago)STAY CLEAR, THEY WILL TRY AND KEEP YOUR MONEY. 0 STARS I had a very disappointing experience with Vintage Shore when attempting to rent a property through them. After initially being accepted, I was informed that I had failed referencing because I had allegedly misrepresented my income on my application. As a self-employed individual, I had accurately stated my earnings and was surprised to be accused of providing false information. To challenge their decision and recover my holding deposit, I provided extensive evidence, including bank statements and transaction records, clearly demonstrating my income. Despite this, they continued to insist that I had failed referencing because I had “lied” on my application. What I find most concerning is that it was only after I mentioned pursuing legal action that their position suddenly changed. My deposit was refunded, and it became clear that I had not lied on my application at all. This suggests that the issue may have originated from their referencing process rather than anything I had done. The whole experience was stressful, time-consuming, and could have been handled much more professionally. Based on my experience, I would advise prospective tenants to keep thorough records and carefully challenge any decisions they believe are incorrect. Another aspect of my experience that I found disappointing was the level of customer service I received. During one phone call, I spoke with a member of staff who came across as extremely rude, dismissive, and arrogant. I challenged his attitude during the conversation because I felt it was completely unprofessional. I later raised my concerns with another member of staff, explaining how I had been treated. Rather than addressing the issue directly, I was told that it was a “cultural difference.” In my view, this is not a valid excuse. Regardless of cultural background, customers should be treated with respect and professionalism. Being rude to a customer is not acceptable, and I found the response to my complaint just as disappointing as the original interaction.

Patsy, Anthony and the team are kind, friendly and have knowledge and experience and will always endeavour to help and this has been the case for a period of several years. They keep ahead of legislative changes and give clear and informative updates to their landlords. They are also nice people! Well done to everyone at Watton Belvoir.
