Great experience selling my property with Barnard Marcus Mitcham, Ali came and valued my property, which was in line with the other valuations i had! Within the first week I had received multiple viewings and an offer that was very close to my asking price. Everything went smoothly and we have now moved.
Wish I could’ve given 0. The manager talks a great talk but once the contract was signed they were nowhere to be seen. Full of excuses. Will never use them again. Avoid if possible
KFH Balham had an excellent selection of properties. When I found one that I wanted, Liz and Poppy made sure that the purchase process went smoothly. They were a pleasure to deal with and I'd happily recommend KFH Balham.
It's difficult to articulate how terrible KFH are. I'd say that their service was poor, but that would suggest that they were merely incompetent, rather than actively dishonest.
They'll encourage you to rent a supposedly furnished place, saying either that it'll have at least a wardrobe and some drawers by the time you move in, leaving you to discover that it won't, once you've put down the deposit, or that all the furniture in the flat is included, even though the majority of it belongs to the current tenants. They're happy to show people round without notifying you and to lie about this subsequently. Only one agent, who presumably wasn't slippery enough, faced any sort of penalty for this.
They'll misrepresent contract negotiations to your landlord, presumably to gain more through new tenant fees, and become almost aggressive when you suggest that this isn't acceptable (on being asked why he'd misrepresented our requests and told our landlord that we would definitely break the contract before the end of the tenancy, Will declared that it 'wasn't done through spite or malice', which seemed rather odd).
Dealing with estate agents is obviously not something anyone wants to do, but, from a tenant's perspective, both having rented through them and observed their untruth-riddled viewings to prospective tenants, I suggest you do all you can to avoid KFH. A look at the positive reviews on here reveals interesting similarities (dates, details), which would make sense if the service was consistently decent, but it's worth considering that this is a company that employs people that thinks lying about making telephone calls ("oh, er, you must just not have got the voicemail message...I don't know where it can have gone") and not checking appointment times with tenants is acceptable...
Lucy and her team at the Wimbledon branch sold our house earlier this month and did a great job. They pushed everything through and kept us informed throughout the whole process. Thanks again.
Poor service and rude.
It might be a seller's market, but Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward seem to treat buyers with contempt. A general level of poor service from their agent and unhelpful responses to basic enquiries about the property, made viewing a couple of flats a frustrating experience.
I love their services especially Adrienne Addai of earlsfield branch who helped me in finding a place. Soo patient and humbly.knows how to talk
Incredibly incompetent and immoral
They lied to us about what was included in the house.
They lied to use about terms in the contract
It took them over a month to give us our parking space that we were paying for
They're are incredibly rude and hung up on me a few times when trying to resolve issues
It took them an unreasonable amount of time to return our deposit
They are entirely unhelpful
They refuse to give references unless you paid them £42
At the end of the tenancy they book loads of appointments to show prospective new tenants around but often cancel and do not tell you
They are not very nice people to deal with
I received an offer on my property in super quick time. This was down to the excellent work of Jennifer & the Sales Team at Southfields from valuation, marketing, etc, coupled with the professionalism & enthusiasm of Oliver Woodward..it was a win win situation. Without hesitation a 100% recommendation from me.
I have always managed my Saturday viewings so that my schedule is properly arranged. Unfortunately I have been waiting at one property for more than 15 mins without anyone contacting me. I called the office just to find out that this property is under offer!! No email, no phone call or voice mail to let me know about the situation before that. She asked me whether I still want to view the second property as booked with the same person and I agreed. I have been waiting at the front of the property for awhile which is fine. I asked about the details. She said is Illegal to tell me how much for service charge and ground rent. She will email to me later. Noticing my shocked face..She asked “any problems?”(With a serious face) - I do not see any point of arguing with her. Until now I have not received any email from her about the details of the property as promised. I have wasted a lot of time with someone that is unprofessional and has an attitude problem! I definitely not deal with this branch anymore.
P.s.Basic manners is important. Please learn how to say apologies or sorry - it would be appreciated more than saying
Over the years we have had first class service and results from using Dexters Wimbledon office. Our assigned team, Simon Avigdor, with Nathan Salter and Jessica Durant was exceptional.
A natural energy persists to help find the perfect buyer in this market - unlike any other estate agents we had used in the past.
Not only did they get us multiple offers but also they continued to closely monitor the sale throughout.
Maybe I should also mention that they took time out of their busy day to help find us an onward purchase, outside of their area when we lost out on a house; nothing was too much for this team.
They are a close-knit Sales team, which meant whenever a call was made to the office there was always someone available who knew something about the transaction. If you want to sell in Wimbledon with a team who fully understand the meaning of customer care [many agents promise this yet never deliver], then I would look no further than Dexters.
Much improved service from Dexters Wimbledon since Stephanie Silva took over our tenancy in the Property Management team. She is always quick to respond to queries and continuously follows up with us which is great!
