30th Mar 2023 (3 years ago)Signed for a no fee deal including legal fees. Paid £200 up front. The buyer of my property dragged on for months resulting in me losing my house purchase. Dowena then refused to pay the legal fees despite the agreement costing me over £400 in fees for nothing. Very immoral company.

5th May 2026 (13 weeks ago)Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say I wound trust then to be involved in and sales or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect right?

From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, keeping me informed at every step. Their market expertise helped me secure the best possible deal, and I felt confident throughout the process. I highly recommend them for their attention to detail, excellent customer service, and genuine care for clients.- 5th Oct 2020 (5 years ago)If you are renting in Bishop Auckland, go elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not interested at all. They allowed a vulnerable tenant to live in a complete and utter pigsty with no roof, wall to wall mould, with bags of human waste and needles filling the yard and have consistently negated their legal obligations. Thankfully, the tenant has since moved out, these clowns won't be laughing when this gets to court. I cannot recommend this shambles of a company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Did not listen to us about sale price, sent people who couldn’t afford the mortgage, poor quality feedback, not making appointments at requested times, even phoned 2 days after we had moved to see if we had exchanged!DO NOT USE THEIR AUCTION SERVICE!were on the verge of changing agents when we struck lucky thanks to Covid!- 16th Oct 2024 (1 year ago)Amazing people to work with. 24th May 2026 (10 weeks ago)We viewed a property on December 30 2025 and made an offer the same day. Although the office was closed , the manager rang me from home and we started the process.. Through out the whole journey Marian from the Stockton office was absolutely amazing. She kept in constant touch and nothing was too much trouble for her. She went over and beyond to help us. We shall never forget her professionalism and kind nature.

29th May 2026 (9 weeks ago)Awful experience from day one. Lesley came to me with a tenant who moved in October 25. First off they allowed a tenant to move in with no months rent up front - never agreed with myself. 7 months later I am still a month behind on unpaid rent even though I have emailed Lesley directly every month chasing. Peter Clark received the keys back to the property on 15/05 and I’m still yet to receive the months rent I’m owed. To add to this there wasn’t a single month where the rent was paid on the date stated on the agreement and instead they allowed the tenant to pay them with cash each month.

17th Apr 2026 (15 weeks ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.
