5th May 2026 (5 mo. ago)Disappointing experience. Took time off work to attend a viewing, only to have the agent discuss a live offer with the seller in front of me during the appointment. It made for a really awkward and unprofessional situation. While they later acknowledged it could have been handled differently, they ultimately stood by their actions. Needless to say I wound trust then to be involved in and sales or purchase. Basic discretion during viewings shouldn’t be too much to expect right?

From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive, keeping me informed at every step. Their market expertise helped me secure the best possible deal, and I felt confident throughout the process. I highly recommend them for their attention to detail, excellent customer service, and genuine care for clients.- 5th Oct 2020 (6 years ago)If you are renting in Bishop Auckland, go elsewhere. Rude, unprofessional and not interested at all. They allowed a vulnerable tenant to live in a complete and utter pigsty with no roof, wall to wall mould, with bags of human waste and needles filling the yard and have consistently negated their legal obligations. Thankfully, the tenant has since moved out, these clowns won't be laughing when this gets to court. I cannot recommend this shambles of a company to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Did not listen to us about sale price, sent people who couldn’t afford the mortgage, poor quality feedback, not making appointments at requested times, even phoned 2 days after we had moved to see if we had exchanged!DO NOT USE THEIR AUCTION SERVICE!were on the verge of changing agents when we struck lucky thanks to Covid!- 16th Oct 2024 (2 years ago)Amazing people to work with. 24th May 2026 (23 weeks ago)We viewed a property on December 30 2025 and made an offer the same day. Although the office was closed , the manager rang me from home and we started the process.. Through out the whole journey Marian from the Stockton office was absolutely amazing. She kept in constant touch and nothing was too much trouble for her. She went over and beyond to help us. We shall never forget her professionalism and kind nature.

29th May 2026 (22 weeks ago)Awful experience from day one. Lesley came to me with a tenant who moved in October 25. First off they allowed a tenant to move in with no months rent up front - never agreed with myself. 7 months later I am still a month behind on unpaid rent even though I have emailed Lesley directly every month chasing. Peter Clark received the keys back to the property on 15/05 and I’m still yet to receive the months rent I’m owed. To add to this there wasn’t a single month where the rent was paid on the date stated on the agreement and instead they allowed the tenant to pay them with cash each month.

17th Apr 2026 (6 mo. ago)The valuation was great, the woman was lovely and photos were excellent. The communication stopped after a few weeks. The house was listed with 2 agents, when I did a viewing with the other party they said about how they'd tried to contact holbrooks and couldn't get through. I received a call about a viewing after no contact for weeks and told them the there had been an offer on the house and was sols stc, the woman rudely said you could have told us. I would have if there had been any contact! Overall wouldn't recommend them.
27th Oct 2026 (5 days ago)They have stopped communicating with me and contact my partner who isn't selling a house I am but she just goes along with stuff were I don't guess the don't want the hassle of me .There much like all estate agents promise the world give u very little

14th Aug 2026 (11 weeks ago)We lived in a 3 bedroom house in Durham for over 3 years and Evenmore is one of the most incompetent and unprofessional companies I have ever encountered. I would recommend avoiding them as a letting company at all costs. We had multiple times things break and not only did they fail to communicate timeframes or expectations but left us in limbo without a washer or an oven for multiple weeks. They never told us the exact expectations for property inspections, but we thought we were doing fine when for two years our reviews never flagged any issues. Midway through our tenancy they changed who inspected the property and said we were failing to comply with the terms of the lease. They attempted to blame us even though these expectations were never communicated to us and our past inspections were fine. They even made passive aggressive comments to my wife about the house looking “disgusting” and “smelly.” We have two toddlers so that was the tommie tippie. This was a part of a pattern of making insensitive and unprofessional comments about us and lacked any care for us as the tenant. We got locked out of our kitchen and no one picked up their emergency line and so we had to wait for a day to get in our kitchen. Moreover, when we were leaving they scheduled appointments without our knowing and entered the home with prospective tenants while my wife was in the shower and our son was sleeping in his room. They blamed it on a technical error. They again, took no accountability for their own mistakes and unprofessionalism. When we exited the property we payed 400 in expert cleaners to come and clean the whole property. They took all of our deposit back saying they had to spend hundreds in house cleaning. They are only concerned to cover up their own failures to communicate and care for the tenant. If I was a landlord and knew how poorly they communicated with their tenants I would have serious reservations about using them to manage my property. Expats beware.

They kept me informed on all aspects of the proceedings, were reasonably priced when considering all that they did for me, it was pretty quick and the solicitors they use were brilliant too!
