She responded promptly to my inquiries and made a significant effort to ensure that the process ran smoothly. I am very pleased with the overall experience at Dowen, particularly with Caroline's assistance. It was an outstanding experience.

They did not give feedback on one of the few viewings we had and at least two of the viewings were by people who had little intention of buying, not good enough- 1st Aug 2026 (2 days ago)We selected Dowen to sell our house having consulted GetAgent. The initial viewing and assessment was conducted by Emilee who came over as enthusiastic and very knowledgeable of the current market. The valuation was as we expected and advertising was directly with them and linked with Right Move and Zoopla. Our property sold very quickly and pleasingly those who viewed all wanted to buy it. Communication has been very good throughout and hopefully the sale will complete without any issues. I would highly recommend Emilee and Dowen’s Estate Agents,Peterlee.

13th Jul 2026 (21 days ago)I have just completed my house move through the Billingham office wit Stacy Hill, She explained the full process along with all costs very clearly. She went above and beyond when I had a small issue with my initial solicitor and every thing was sorted immediately. communications were first class as I was kept unto date at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend Stacy and Clarke Munro to anyone, and I will definitely be using Stacy at the Billingham office for my next house sale.

17th Jun 2026 (7 weeks ago)Dowen, Unprofessional estate agent.… I was very disappointed with Down estate agents, I booked a viewing for 1400hrs on the 17th June, at park road Hartlepool, and confirmed it with the agency, we waited for over 30 minutes for an agent to turn up, but no one did, I called their office and the lady said she's stuck in traffic she will be there shortly, we waited for a further 20 minutes, but no one turned up, I called the office again but this time no one answered, so I left a message, stating that if no one turns up in 5 minutes, we won't be bothering with the viewing, no one turned up, this company is so so so unprofessional, and I would not recommend anyone to do business with them, if they can't be bothered to turn up for a viewing of a property, then it says it all, It's that bad that I can't start rate them,
9th Apr 2026 (17 weeks ago)I was impressed with the initial meeting with Colleen who valued the property. She was knowledgeable,punctual ,a great communicator and efficient. I was extremely happy with Clare who throughout the process was always efficient ,friendly,supportive and conscientious .She replied to and resolved any queries promptly.The communication about viewings was very good and we were reminded about viewings the day before. I was very disappointed by the Sales Progressor who was difficult to speak to ,worked short hours and failed to contact us promptly causing difficulty and additional stress.

From the moment Chloe came to carry out the valuation to the day our tenants moved in, she has been fantastic.<br><br>Throughout the entire process, Chloe was approachable, friendly, and professional. Her valuation was realistic and in line with the current market rate. We approached 3 agents and chose Tom at Newfields who was very sensitive to the situation as well as professional, dealing with all queries promptly and efficiently. He kept us fully informed and managed the sale effectively achieving a good price within a reasonable timescale.<br>I can really recomend Tom and Newfield Estates.

All staff were very professional throughout and more than helpful with general queries. I especially felt listened to by Emma who really guided me through the sales process regarding time frames and next steps. Emails were answered promptly, communication was clear and I felt reassured that the team managed our sale well throughout. A very successful outcome and a big thank you.
