Painful experience renting a house using Allen and Harris. Fees were well overpriced for the service we received (>£200 per person for a 2 bed place). When being shown around we were told we could remove unwanted furniture only to be told something different by the landlord. On moving out of the property the estate agent took 8 weeks to return our deposit and didn't communicate at all well with us throughout this period, leaving long gaps of weeks without responding to emails. Eventually received full deposit back after far too long.
The estate agents were friendly and helpful when attempting to get us into the flat, but this level of service was not reciprocated at the end of the tenancy when we felt we were treated very poorly. If you are renting a property through Allen and Harris ensure you have the process to receive your deposit back in writing and haggle down their extortionate and unjustified tenancy fees.
We Have just Sold our house through Thomas Merrifield. What a pleasure it was, Rhiannon gave us feedback after every viewing and helped us achieve our sale she is a credit to the Merrifield team. James and his team worked relentlessly to get to the sale of the line. If I could give one piece of advice to anyone buying or selling with Thomas Merrifield please use there list of solicitors. Will make your life so much easier. BELIEVE ME.
I have recently sold my house through Thomas Merrifield at Didcot and would like to say I received excellent service. The brochure they produced was very professional. Any problems I had were resolved as quickly as possible. The staff were always friendly and efficient. I would recommend Thomas Merrifield to anybody who is considering selling their property in the Didcot area.
Phil and his Team are brilliant helped us secure the beautiful family home of our dreams. Jamie Prescott at In house needs a mention as he did his all in negotiating in a very professional and friendly way to secure the house. Brilliant all round wouldn’t hesitate to use again and recommend.
We were first shown around a selection of properties with Phil who was very enthusiastic and easy to connect with, as well as being openly honest and helpful with what to look for in a property (great as we were first time buyers). Jamie then dealt with the purchase side of things with us and again was extremely helpful and ensuring a smooth transaction and kept us up to date throughout the process as well as answering any of our many questions. All in all a pleasurable experience with no issues as all!
The staff at Church Robinson are very passionate and dedicated to customer service. A pleasure to deal with.
Most of the Staff are very pleasant to deal with, however watch out for hidden Checkout charge, that's not advertised/in agreement and the Company's that do the Check in (BPP) report and Check out (Phoenix)report. My Check in report was very poor bad pictures, hence me asking to change it and complaining, check out report was top class high definition pictures, which cost me a lot on my deposit, due to the difference in reports, which was heavy complained about.
We used James Gesner to Sell our house recently and the entire process was well managed from start to finish. Out of all of the estate agents which we spoke with initially they were also the most knowledgeable and helpful by far.
The office staff are rude, arrogant and unhelpful, you are expected to work around them be it your on nights or busy etc they just expect to do viewings regardless. You don't feel like a customer with the issues they cause.
renewals and normal correspondence goes into a black hole for weeks at a time and as such have a total lack in being able to communicating properly.
Out of all the letting agent agents I have delt with over the last 10 years these are the worst.
