24th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)We used Carter Jonas in Oxford, England to rent out our property and I was overall very satisfied with the service they provided. I didn´t have to do any chasing as things progressed nicely in a timely manner and they were very good at getting back to me with updates. Their rates were also much better than the other common letting agencies. The only small thing that can be improved is the delay between tenants paying the rent to Carter Jonas and the day it is received by the landlord, if that can be reduced it would further increase the satisfaction. But overall I would recommend Carter Jonas.

Jack Chapman was especially kind, polite, and helpful, assisting us with every request and ensuring a smooth process. A big thank you to Jack, as well as Taylor Corkery and Callum Parsons MARLA, for their professionalism and attention to detail. They handled all arrangements perfectly, making the start of our tenancy stress-free. We are pleased they will be managing the property and are confident we’ll continue to receive the same high level of service. Highly recommended!

After viewing the house we were travelling overseas and were able to undertake all of the paperwork and processes from there. Luke was incredibly supportive and always on hand to help (as was Nicolette). As first time buyers they made the whole experience positive and we highly recommend them! Thank you!
19th Jul 2024 (25 weeks ago)Due to the continued incompetence of this branches' sales manager, we were not able to purchase a home that we were making offers on, even when our offer was increased to the asking price, we had already secured a buyer for our own home and we had an AIP in place. However, due to this, we ended buying a house which is incomparably nicer than the one we tried to buy from Chancellors so it all worked quite nicely in the end. And that's why they get 2 stars instead of 1.

Easy to contact when needed so far.- 7th Nov 2024 (10 weeks ago)We had an excellent experience working with Savills to find our home. Initially, we were struggling to find somewhere to live in Oxford and our experiences with other letting agencies was stressful to say the least. Rosie was the first lettings negotiator we dealt with that was empathetic to our struggles. Rather than pressuring us into making an immediate decision, we were given time to consider making an offer, and Rosie and was a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. We highly recommend renting with Savills (and Rosie in particular) if you're looking for somewhere to live in Oxford.

They are clearly knowledgable, very supportive and provided just the right level of guidance throughout the whole process - exactly what we were after and we would thoroughly recommend them.

It was a difficult drawn out process but James did a sterling job , communicating with both parties and replying promptly to our queries. I have no hesitation in recommending Turner Properties and James in particular to anyone looking to market their property.
5th Oct 2024 (14 weeks ago)At the beginning of my tenancy, the agency seemed very professional and attentive, but unfortunately, my experience changed towards the end. It became clear that they were more focused on representing the landlord’s interests. If you are a landlord, I’m sure they will do a great job for you. However, as a tenant, I cannot say I had the best experience. My advice to future tenants is to document everything. After every phone call or interaction, follow up with an email summarizing the conversation. Trust me, you’ll need that paper trail.

Whitenights found a series of completely unsuitable buyers, causing us to lose the previous property that we were buying. We changed to Sarah & Georgina at Avocado, who were a breath of fresh air. Found us the right buyer- even when a sale fell through again, and went the extra mile at every single step of the way. Such as doing the vetting for Housing solutions up front, to reduce chance of people dropping out. We remain convinced that the only reason we moved is because of Sarah & Georgina's expertise & dedication

13th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
