20th Mar 2024 (30 days ago)Do not recommend. They were ok at beginning of tenancy as they want to make money Ofc. But extremely difficult at end of tenancy. They tried to take my deposit for things I was not responsible for such as a faulty boiler (which I reported months before I handed in my notice). They were aware of this as they provided the inventory. Very difficult and rude admin personnel. Avoid. Avoid.

Phil in particular went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly when purchasing my first home. I could ring the office at any time and knew the team at country properties would do everything they could to assist. The team listened to me and took the time to help with issues I was having with my solicitors and allowed me to view the property as many times as I wanted. I Cannot fault Country properties and will recommend them to everyone.
10th Apr 2024 (9 days ago)Excellent service from all the staff at the Shefford branch. Good marketing advice initially and the team got plenty of viewings for us. Kept update at all times and after our first sale collapsed after 6 months, not due to Country Properties, they quickly re marketed our house and we had 3 offers in only 2 days leading to a very completion in less than 8 weeks. Excellent liaison with the recommended solicitors. Big thanks especially to Lucy who handled our transaction.- 12th Apr 2024 (7 days ago)Recently used Michael Cole as our mortgage advisor for purchasing new home. Our situation was slightly unusual but Michael's knowledge and the advice he gave us were both excellent and ensured we applied for (and obtained) the right mortage for our situation. He was also very helpful with our questions - not just about mortgages but other house related topics such as NHBC, queries about survey wording etc. We highly recommend him.

Paul from Connells, Hitchin however has restored my faith and has proved to have an outstanding knowledge of the properties and areas he has showed us, as well as taking the time during and after viewings to discuss them. 26th Mar 2024 (24 days ago)I have bought two properties through Mather Estates, and the lettings side of the business manage one of my properties. I wouldn't consider using anyone else. Everything is seamless with them and they tick all the correct legal boxes. As a landlord, I have peace of mind with no aggravation. Emilee in particular stands out as someone who is motivated and on top of every situation. A pleasure to deal with. I wholeheartedly recommend Mather Estates as they are very professional and down to earth. The service is of a very high standard indeed. No nonsense and no gimmicks. A well deserved five stars from me.

They made my renting journey so easy, India was my first contact and she gave me 101% attention and support and Charlotte did beautifully well too and because of them both, in less than a week I have my accomodation. Thank you guys, you make life so easy.

They even bought us a card, flowers and bubbles to congratulate us on our new home when we collected the keys!! Highly recommend.
2nd Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Generally very pleasant to deal with. Had to correct a few mistakes they made with the listing which surprised me. Also they initially had to be pushed to progress the sale. However the team were polite, informed me on progress when it was made and generally I was pleased with the overall experience. I was also slightly surprised that they require an up-front payment of £300 for photos that you only get back if they complete the sale. This was in contrast to all other agents.

I had viewed over 20 houses and this estate agency was one of the best among all, as I requested multiple viewings and to satisfy my purchase and mind. They were okay to bookinn and show me they property even on weekends. I highly recommend Giggs and Bell estate agency for property purchases and I will definetly ring them first for my second property…

At no point did I not think he wouldn’t do what was right by me and also the buyer. His knowledge of the market and legal matters were particularly helpful too. James really cares about his clients and this is invaluable when going through something as big and often as stressful as trying to sell or buy a house.
