I have been renting a property managed by Howard Baker Estates for three years. The property was presented really well and maintained periodically by them. Really impressed with their professionalism in handling things right from renting, maintenance, periodic checks etc. Sam and Team does a great job in managing all these aspects. We sold our property with great help from staff @ Winkworths Kingsbury , I liased with Lauren,Shilpa,&Kevin each one of them kept me up to date @all times, they were very professional nothing was too much trouble for them & they went that extra mile , also worked very closely with our solicitor whom was also excellent Manisha Gadhia @ Mills Chody ! This is a terrible agency, and I am extremely disappointed with the service I received today. I arranged a viewing in NW9 and spoke with one of their agents, Alexandra, who confirmed that I should be at the property at 3:00 PM. I even arrived 10 minutes early. However, despite the rainy weather, no agent showed up. Usually, an agent is there to guide you through the viewing, even if the tenant is still living in the property. Alexandra was completely unprofessional and irresponsible. I waited there until 3:30 PM, trying several times to contact her by message. She told me that the tenant would open the door, but nobody answered. After waiting another 10 minutes in the rain, I still received no help. Alexandra later claimed that the tenant had left, which made the whole situation even more confusing. I travelled all the way from SW18, which took me around 1 hour and 20 minutes each way, so this was a complete waste of my time. To make matters worse, when I called the agency, the lady on the phone was rude and blamed me for being late, even though I had arrived early. In reality, the agent herself failed to show up. In London, transport delays can happen, and professional agencies usually wait at least 10 minutes for clients. Instead, I was treated unfairly and spoken to disrespectfully. I would absolutely not recommend this agency to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, their communication is poor, and they are highly unprofessional. Overall, it was a horrible experience.... Sonia Estates could not wait longer than two weeks after my husband’s passing to start their plot to scam me. Informed me that minor repairs needed to rent after the contract expired. No deposit money given to me as they retained it! They ran up 8000 pounds( 12,000 pounds is what they demanded initially) worth of non existent repairs without my permission. When I disputed it, they secretly rented out my home and had no intention of informing me about it, nor of paying me rent!! They also had the secret idea of letting the home out to Capital Living who would charge us a commission, and Sonia would very kindly keep collecting another 7 percent commission too! This was only revealed to me after months of questioning Sonia Estates. They then threw away all of my furniture and asked me for an additional 15,000 pounds to furnish it again! So, they tried to make almost 27,000 pounds from the death of my husband! Sonia Estaes lied to the Ombudsman who accepted their lies that all of the above arrangements were agreed upon by me over a phony phone call! Even though I won the case, they were asked to pay me only 150 pounds! They now keep getting my Google review deleted!... Read more
