Very disappointed with this Company. No attempt to keep us informed of progress, had to chase every step of the way. Fed up with same answer of "we were just about to call you". Didn't even have courtesy to let us know keys had been handed over to our Purchasers on day of transfer.
I have to say that I been very impressed with the very professional and friendly service that I have received from the whole team.

This is one of the worst Estate Agencies. As the Sales team here is extremely manipulative. I have had the worst experience based on the rudeness, inadequacy and their lack of knowledge of the property regulations and laws. As despite Sold subject to contract they have advertised my property breaking pretty much every property regulation.
Please stay away.

Buying a property from downes & daughters was not a very good expeience at all! If you are not a strong character, then I would stay far away as possible. E.g the surveyor picked up on a damp issue and devalued the property accordingly and instructed a damp specialist for an inspection. The reply from downes, the seller can get a survey themselves. As if my mortgage lender will take that into consideration. NOT! We completed at 9.30 am and we were denied access to the property till 2.15pm even though it was legally ours because the seller had not completed on their property, even though they had finished their removals. If you are strong in character you can give as good as you get. My reply to his comment on the damp was this. "Oh Yeh we will get the damp specialist drunk, that will fix the damp report"
Hunters took over the management of my apartment earlier this year and they are second to none in customer care. Everyone I have spoken to is enthusiastic, professional and so helpful. I real sense of team spirit. I had to leave my leave my apartment due to relocation and again everyone at Hunters was so helpful in this process and to cap it off made the final day checks and hand over a pleasure. Keep up the excellent work.
Went out of their way to ensure we lost as much of the deposit money as possible. A 260 pound bill for cleaning an already clean property. A word of advice to all tenants take pictures of everything !
