19th Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Poor experience with this letting agent, not helped by the tightest landlord (Kate) who wouldn't pay for repairs to be done in a timely manner, leaving our family in tricky circumstances more than once. When they do eventually send someone over to complete the work, it'll be done shoddily. I hope that £43 you managed to claim back via the DPS versus the nearly £800 you asked for is helpful :) To any renters - be under no illusion, the letting agent works for the landlord and is not there to help you in the slightest. This specific letting agents manager will suggest you scrape and replaster the bathroom ceiling (which was poorly maintained by the landlord) yourself "to make the house your own".

Zoe, James and Mark were consistently helpful, professional and knowledgeable throughout the process. Their customer service was top-notch, making us feel well-supported every step of the way. Special mention to Zoe, whose exceptional people skills made a real difference. She kept us informed at every stage, ensuring we felt comfortable and confident in all our dealings with the process. The entire team made what could have been a stressful time feel smooth and straightforward – this includes the extremely efficient and helpful telephone staff that often took our calls and reassured us. Highly recommend Brown and Co for anyone looking to buy or sell – they truly go above and beyond.

They all need training including their managers as it’s a shambles dealing with them and from hear on out I will make sure they’re never recommended. They have no respect for wasting your time and money.

They are so friendly, professional and easy to talk to. I am delighted to say that after a difficult selling experience with previous agents, Your Move has got us a sale going through again! Wow! We are so pleased! Ellie and Andrea have put our minds at ease all the way through the process. They have both been so lovely to speak to and really personable. I really felt like I knew them both personally and they took the time to speak to me whenever I called. Nothing was ever too much trouble! Unlike other estate agents that can make you feel like you are just 'a number', Ellie and Andrea knew our situation well and understood the worries we had from the beginning having had chains collapse on us previously. They were both knowledgeable, professional, friendly and genuine. I honestly can't speak any higher of them! In addition, a special mention goes to Michael who carried out viewings for us when we were unable to do them ourselves due to work commitments. Thank you so much all of you! 19th Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)Wouldn't recommend this company jobs reported when vulnerable take over a week to sort out can never get hold of who you need to calls never get returned antisocial behaviour doesn't get sorted I've moved from bad to worse a day late on rent they soon contact you though.... looks like I'm house hunting again. I've reported numerous times the same people to no avail it's got to the point I've said forget it also if you unfortunately do get housed with this company please check bins before deposit rent and tenancy is signed mine was all full infested and took them over 4 months to empty the council refused rightly so as its the company and landlords fault also check your out house mines still full it's terrible. Especially when the rents so expensive aswell

1st May 2026 (14 days ago)I couldn’t be happier, sales staff kept me up-to date and checked in regularly. When solicitors were slow in keeping me inform , the ladies were brilliant at chasing them and moving the sale along. Would recommend without hesitation.
8th May 2026 (7 days ago)Yikes! Please don’t trust this place with your money. We’ve never had issues with other letting agents (maybe because we’re good tenants?) but Whitegates have ruined that streak. We left the house in a state far better than when we moved in (literally dirty socks stuffed down the radiator), and cleaned the carpets with a professional carpet cleaner due to having a cat in the house. We were not expecting to have £225 knocked off of our deposit but here we are. We’ve been dealing with Ellie who is now refusing to provide any evidence or documents regarding special instructions on carpet cleaning, or what kind of carpet cleaner to use etc prior to us moving in. They’re still taking off all of this money because apparently the clean carpets are not clean enough (our stuff was the good cleaning stuff - and we provided proof of that). Now I’d hold my hands up or wave a white flag if Ellie had provided this evidence to us, however - as I say - she has refused. Not very helpful! On top of that, we had someone let themselves into the house to conduct a viewing that we were never even told about, which was the cherry on top. Terrifying having 3 strangers walk in on you in the morning. I know this is a minor story compared to the other ones you’ll be reading down below, but just thought we’d add a little something. Don’t do it, guys! Don’t make our mistake!

I'm a first time buyer so was just putting up with it at first, but everytime I look elsewhere for understanding I find out just how much this agency is not working in line with normal expectations. They provide no information then chase you as if you're a nuisance. Information from them doesn't match up with what I get from my solicitors. The entire process has been much more stressful than necessary and I'm ridiculously disappointed. I have family moving up North and with how bad this process has been I'm at a point where I would encourage them to miss out on great properties just to avoid dealing with Lovelle Hykeham- 21st Apr 2026 (24 days ago)I cannot recommend these guys enough! 24th May 2024 (1 year ago)This is the third time I have used Pridea to sell a property. Exactly the same experience every time. The property sells quickly with one robust sale that goes through to completion. Not my experience of using other estate agents in the area.

We changed agents to Fairweather and we saw the positive results from day one. We appreciated their regular contact, even if it was a quiet period. Juan was incredibly helpful and even our buyers commented on the regular updates they had from him. We have no hesitation in recommending their services.
9th Mar 2026 (10 weeks ago)A speedy and professional job by Rod, Aaron and all the staff I dealt with Alexander Jacob. I'll try to keep this short; I had a small property for sale in Retford which had been rented for a while with another estate agent in town and I asked what they thought I could get on a sale and after an extensive discussion they suggested it be marketed at £80k and wouldn't budge on it. I was never going to accept this and a third party(thank you Shane!) suggested I speak with Rod, he told me £100k would be easily achievable and indicated a little work be done, which came to less than £1k and was arranged by AJ, and I sold for £110k. I'm not suggesting that this will be everyone's experience but Alexander Jacob clearly have a far, far better grip on how the local market is trending than some other estate agents in town.- 23rd Mar 2026 (8 weeks ago)Turned up to a viewing that they said they had no knowledge about even though i spoke to them on the phone with Phillip and confirmed it plus got email to confirm it and then they say they would ring me back to book in another appointment and spoke to abbie on the phone yet they haven’t been in touch and this has been over a week simply not good enough this was the property for 45 william street in newark not professional at all
13th Feb 2026 (13 weeks ago)Initially Newton Fallowell appeared keen on the premises. Property on the market for five months, no viewing, no information from the agents. Incentive offered to the sales person who sells the property offered. Contact with agents who wanted to drop the price by £30k in January. None of the houses of similar value who have lowered their prices have yet to be sold. They only want to advertise on right move etc.

2nd May 2026 (13 days ago)urgently needed a room in a week and this agency upcharged me an extra £100 due to being a "short term rental" spoke to other estate agents and they all said it was just made up had to constantly call the new estate agents to get it reduced to the normal advertised rate. they also changed the document for tenancy rent price after i had paid the holding fee constant drip-feeding me information and very slow told me i could pay monthly then a day before move in said no you have to pay two months upfront + deposit awful experience steer clear

We needed good communication as we were selling from abroad and from start to finish the PGM team were polite, efficient and effective. Thankyou guys. Can't recommend highly enough. Will use again.
