The staff are all fantastic and Karen and Lauren really kept us at ease and were so helpful, fast and understanding when our sale fell through and we needed to put our flat back on the market. We are glad we decided to use Slater Hogg and would definitely use them again.

6th Feb 2026 (12 weeks ago)Avoid this firm if you value your time and energy. We engaged them in early January and initially communication was fine. After submitting all requested documents, we even had to chase to confirm receipt, only to be told later that our emails had gone to their junk folder, despite recent active email conversations. We were assured they were happy to act, even with an overseas buyer. The mandate was submitted on 23 January, and the last response we received was on 26 January. From 30 January onwards, we followed up multiple times and received no updates at all. After weeks of silence, we were finally informed that they could not proceed due to AML concerns relating to source of funds. This was extremely frustrating, as apart from bank statements, no further documents were ever requested. We were told additional documents such as gift letters might be required, yet these were never asked for before the matter was dropped. Phone calls were equally unhelpful, we were repeatedly told the solicitor was unavailable and would call back, which never happened. No one is forced to act as our solicitor, but a simple update during those weeks would have saved us a significant amount of time & allowed us to approach another firm sooner. The most disappointing part is that despite us being the paying client, we were the ones constantly chasing for updates. Overall, very poor communication and a disappointing experience.
18th Aug 2025 (8 mo. ago)Spoke with an extremely condescending member of staff called Stephanie today. Attempted to speak to me like I was a child and didn't know anything about buying property. I think she needs to have more training in customer service. Leanne, however, is very approachable and professional and I wish I had dealt with her as I had asked. I have been trying to arrange a viewing for a property for over a week now and despite asking them to email, they have totally ignored my requests. I will attempt once more before seeking out the sellers details to inform them of this unacceptable service.

Friendly enthusiastic approach from the get go and a clear vision on how to market our property to get the best result. We were recommended by a friend and will now recommend to others. 20th Apr 2026 (14 days ago)I've had the prevalige of walker and sharp representing me for the last 10 months and im actually lost for words to describe them all . To the secretary's answering phone calls to the defence solicitors and especially to the family solicitor Lauren grantham who went above and beyond for me and my children as there were times a just about gave up but thanks to her me and the kids can now look forward to the future. If anyone ever needs representation walker and sharp are definitely number 1

They recommended the best pictures and pack and brought the property to the market quickly. The offered plenty of support, guidance and advice and they brought a high volume of potential buyers to the property which resulted in a very quick sale. Very happy with the whole service offered.
