8th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)Terrible experience purchasing a house through this company. The Woman we dealt with who we believe is possibly a partner repeatedly didn’t find answers to our questions, it seemed as if it were a constant battle throughout, she also came across false and over the top. As far as the owner of the company goes one meeting was enough for us. Occasionally we spoke with other employees who were always friendly and efficient, shame the same can’t be said for management.
19th Sep 2024 (1 year ago)Really poor experience of being a buyer through Remax, the house purchased was not as described or accurate according to Home Report. On entry to our home, no message to wish us all the best, no hot water, all the heating needing changed and based on the description was disgraceful. We asked questions at the viewing and told all was working and there hadn't been a leak which there had and now having to pay £10k on heating which was reflected as a '1' on the home report. TBH I don't think they asked the sellers any real questions and just marketed, took the money and moved on.

From the very first contact, they were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They guided us through every step of the process with clarity and confidence, making what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and well-managed. Their communication was excellent — we were kept informed at every stage, and no question ever felt too small. They clearly know the local market inside out and gave us fantastic advice that helped us achieve a great result in a short space of time. What really stood out was how personable and proactive the team were — they truly went above and beyond. You feel like you’re dealing with real people who genuinely want the best for you, not just ticking boxes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend KnightBain to anyone buying or selling a property in West Lothian. A five-star service from a team who genuinely deliver on their promises.

29th Oct 2025 (20 weeks ago)My experience with Walker Laird was very good. We gave them the keys for the house and they showed everyone round the property. Arranging all of the viewings themselves. The house sold within 2 weeks without any problems.

The staff are all fantastic and Karen and Lauren really kept us at ease and were so helpful, fast and understanding when our sale fell through and we needed to put our flat back on the market. We are glad we decided to use Slater Hogg and would definitely use them again.- 10th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)Received a professional & very friendly service from all of the team at the Largs Office . Gillian MacKenzie was excellent in answering all our questions and very knowledgeable and a delight to liase with. Throughout the process we were given regular updates and communications . It is undoubtably true that moving house is one of the most stressful things that you can do, but I can say that Eilidh and the team went above and beyond to assist us and make the process as smooth as possible. I was selling the parents property (and dreading it), Jaqui from Innes Johnston was highly recommended so contact was made.Best descion ever. Jaqui is a very vibrant,positive person who has an energy and enthusiasm that is most infectious. The whole process has been a dream. Lovely meeting and talking with Jacqui and the staff are excellent, everything very well documented and communication was exceptional. I was kept up to date with all viewings and followed by viewing reports. Jacqui would even call jst for a quick check up and touch base which was also most reassuring when getting oodles of views but no bites. I thoroughly recommend Jacqui McAdam and her team and cannot thank them enough for all their hard work.

11th Jan 2026 (9 weeks ago)They seem to only be a 4-5 star letting agent if you are a landlord or seller. If you are renting with them good luck to you. Really slow response times, been without a washing machine for months, reported it as per procedure and they did send someone to see it, the guy told me it is indeed broken and he’ll get back to us/them, and have heard nothing since! Having to do my laundry by hand since before the new year, it is depressing. Hoping that they will one day remember we have been paying rent on time for 8 years without any issues and have done our best to keep the property in good condition. Tried to phone about this before the holidays and some guy answered, didn’t even give his name and hung up halfway thru me trying to ask about this issue, I even made sure to call outside of lunch time to make sure nobody was inconvenienced! I understand that they manage alot of properties and it is probably not easy. They probably do their best but there really should be a faster reaction to fixing something as necessary as a washing machine that did come with the flat. Just really sad, but what else can you do, leaving an honest review I suppose

Linda and Fiona were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. They were incredibly supportive, patient, and understanding during what turned out to be a stressful time for us. We had some difficulties with our lawyers which meant the purchase had to be put on hold for around 2.5 months, but Linda and Fiona were always reassuring and kept supporting us the whole way through. Today we were supposed to collect our keys, but due to train cancellations we were delayed. When we explained the situation, they were more than happy to wait for us even after working hours, which we truly appreciated. Thank you both for your kindness, professionalism, and outstanding service. You made our first home-buying experience so much smoother, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you did for us. ????????????
