Then they let themselves down and me, if anyone wanted to view they told them drive past and if you like it make an appointment, since when do people buy house by driving by. No feed back at all I think good opertunities were squandered a lazy team.

I recently bought our new home from Allen and Harris estate agents in Wells and found them to be very helpful and a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. Ollie and Daisy were always responsive to my queries and requests and helped move the sale process along with good communication between parties, so even though I know they were engaged by the seller, I still felt my purchase was in good hands from their side. They even gave me a treat box of tea and discount vouchers on completion, which came in very handy for a brew on moving day and for buying my new fridge freezer with the bonus of £30 off! Such a nice gesture from Allen and Harris, what's not to like! A very good experience of buying a home from them. 5*

Communication was excellent, he really drove things forward with the sale and he was always available to help. All in all a great experience from initial valuation with George, photos with Nicki and the top man Spencer! Would thoroughly recommend George James!

Would recommend.- 2nd Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)Cooper and Tanner Lettings Ltd were employed by our Landlord to oversee the serving of a section 21 notice (submitted for no reason by the landlord other than he wanted to raise the rent by 25%). This was delayed as we had to involve environmental health due to damp, mould, rats and broken hinges on windows. Caroline Peebles-Brown was initially supportive, stating that we had done our best to maintain the property and it was in much better condition than the landlord had suggested - although the landlord (Colin Leach) had not redcorated, recarpeted or repaired any of the property for our 9 year tenure. She also confirmed that any damage to colouring of the walls was due to age and not nicotine (neither of us smoked). Her stance soon changed and we felt that she had been devious in her initial approach with us. The section 21 notice was issued as soon as possible (after a long list of jobs to be completed had been submitted by environmental health). Both my housemate and I are clased as vulnerable due to illness and this was never considered or taken into account. Having no choice but to request a subject access request regarding the use of our personal data, we received copies of specific emails between Caroline and the landlord, colluding together regarding the return of our deposit. Although this company acted as our agents for only a short period (and I believe no longer act on behalf of the landlord), they were deceitful, inconsiderate, more concerned with completing the list of jobs given to them by enviromental health than considering our mental health (we had workmen arrive at short notice and on the weekends) and were unprofessional. If you are a tenant looking to rent a property through this company, I would wait until the new legislation comes in, early next year.
