Then they let themselves down and me, if anyone wanted to view they told them drive past and if you like it make an appointment, since when do people buy house by driving by. No feed back at all I think good opertunities were squandered a lazy team.

Ian and Ash are always willing to answer any questions we have had, and are always happy and helpful. We will use them again.

They were were accessible, proactive in communication and supportive throughout and were happy to field our questions and deal with our frustrations. We really appreciate how this impacted on our move and how it made us feel. We will definitely be recommending David James to friends in the area when they come to move.

4th Mar 2026 (22 days ago)When considering the sale of our cottage we looked online for information and found GetAgent a useful resource for planning a sale and comparing Estate Agents. As a result we invited three firms to visit us and when we met Caroline, the Beaminster branch manager, from Symonds and Sampson, it really was no contest. Her focus was entirely on what we wanted and she went to some lengths determining that, including advice on buying our next home. Once we were on the market with Symonds and Sampson the contacts with the office, mainly by phone and email were excellent. Although it was a short “chain” the sale wasn’t straightforward and the attention paid to us and the efforts to deal with any issues arising were very good, especially from Caroline. In fact we commented that even had our property been worth considerably more we could not have asked for any better service. We have no hesitation in recommending the team at Symonds and Sampson, Beaminster.
18th Mar 2026 (8 days ago)My experience as a chain free buyer keen to purchase a property they are marketing; - Agent didn't show up to the first viewing booked, with zero apology for miss communication their end. - Late to subsequential viewing and had to wait to him to faff around getting the keys out of the key box in the pouring rain. - No follow up call after viewings, I had to call them to book in a second viewing after waiting to see if they would call for over a week. - Once sale was agreed, I have contacted them several times to ask questions re the property / sale details and they have ignored all emails. If you would like to sell your house in a timely manor, if at all, I would avoid.

Their communication was excellent and we felt confident they had our best interests in mind throughout. Viewings were well organised and professionally executed. I’d happily recommend the team for the rental or sale of your home.

Refused a viewing as my current landlord is a guarantor for some one in a property they manage who hasn't paid rent. Don't see how that involves me or why they feel the need to share that information. Looking at Welden & Edwards reviews they need to have a look at there staff.
20th Feb 2026 (5 weeks ago)We recently purchased a house listed through Lodestone, Martina was always quick to respond to our queries and was brilliant at keeping everyone in the loop during the final stages of the process. She really helped push everything through which was really appreciated. It was also really handy that they are based in Bruton. Would definitely consider using them in the future, although we won't want to think about selling anytime soon!
2nd Sep 2025 (6 mo. ago)Cooper and Tanner Lettings Ltd were employed by our Landlord to oversee the serving of a section 21 notice (submitted for no reason by the landlord other than he wanted to raise the rent by 25%). This was delayed as we had to involve environmental health due to damp, mould, rats and broken hinges on windows. Caroline Peebles-Brown was initially supportive, stating that we had done our best to maintain the property and it was in much better condition than the landlord had suggested - although the landlord (Colin Leach) had not redcorated, recarpeted or repaired any of the property for our 9 year tenure. She also confirmed that any damage to colouring of the walls was due to age and not nicotine (neither of us smoked). Her stance soon changed and we felt that she had been devious in her initial approach with us. The section 21 notice was issued as soon as possible (after a long list of jobs to be completed had been submitted by environmental health). Both my housemate and I are clased as vulnerable due to illness and this was never considered or taken into account. Having no choice but to request a subject access request regarding the use of our personal data, we received copies of specific emails between Caroline and the landlord, colluding together regarding the return of our deposit. Although this company acted as our agents for only a short period (and I believe no longer act on behalf of the landlord), they were deceitful, inconsiderate, more concerned with completing the list of jobs given to them by enviromental health than considering our mental health (we had workmen arrive at short notice and on the weekends) and were unprofessional. If you are a tenant looking to rent a property through this company, I would wait until the new legislation comes in, early next year.
