7th Oct 2019 (7 years ago)Thiefs, liars, manipulators; these are just kind words to describe them. I was verbally attacked twice in the building ( shiraj tower), got followed by crackheads squatting in the building and all i got from them is ''this happens before, just call the police and exagerate it''. lift breaks and theres no way of getting to 5th floor, floodings, infestations, rats, piles of trash for weeks... I left 2 months ago and im still having problems with them. Also, they tried to steal for us saying we owed more money, wasnt until we asked for the actual bill that we realized. DO NOT RENT A FLAT FROM THEM, WE'RE STUDENTS AND ITS THE WORST DECISION IVE EVER MADE.

They restored our faith after we'd had a poor experience with another estate agent. Working with John Alan, we got clear-eyed valuation, proactive updates, suggested solutions, and all with a friendly and reliable service. We are beyond grateful to John and Dee for their commitment to our sale and highly recommend them, they are a cut above all other local estate agents. 4th Sep 2024 (2 years ago)Barringtons provide a friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service. Tim and Nigel know the local market and are both attentive and supportive. My house sold in just over 3 weeks thanks to their expertise, marketing and showing the house personally. This was in a rather slow market, so was impressive.
Its the personal touch that I believe makes a difference, instilling trust in both seller and buyer. I would definitely recommend them.

Communication has been faultless, from the initial valuation to each appointment to view to prompt, accurate and reassuring answers to each of our questions.

16th Jul 2024 (2 years ago)I second everything what's been said about Jo and Hallway! Jo wasn't our agent ( we were buyers ) so we were on the other side of the chain, but from the day she showed us around the house till completion day she's been on fire. Sometimes taking a simple information from solicitors took a life and a half and Jo was chasing each side like mad hatter. Whenever I needed an update or wasn't sure with something she's been on the other side from Monday till Sunday. Very patient with us first time buyers. Explained everything, always with details and even after completion she continuesly been there for us. I was feeling cared for although she wasn't even our agent. I am truly sad it's over and I won't have a laugh with this woman anymore ???? Love her sense of humour!!! Highly recommended
13th Mar 2025 (1 year ago)James Caffrey looked after my recent sale. I cannot praise him more highly. He worked so hard helping me - even on a Sunday. I couldn’t have had a more capable, long suffering person advising me and guiding through the sale. He was superb.

Gavin at Hook Homes was excellent from start to finish and made the whole sale remarkably easy.
He was incredibly straightforward and easy to deal with, always just a text away whenever I needed something and consistently quick to respond.
A genuinely excellent service and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gavin and Hook Homes to anyone selling their property.

28th Jul 2021 (5 years ago)Appalling ‘service’. Called FIVE times about a flat to rent in Shoteditch and they never called back. Last time I called the man was shouting down the phone. If you’re a landlord don’t list with them bc they don’t bother following up on tenants. Shoddy and unprofessional
