8th Jul 2026 (20 days ago)As a landlord, my experience with Foxtons has been extremely disappointing.<br>Following the changes to tenancy rules, tenants can now end a tenancy by giving two months’ notice. Foxtons charged me a full 12 months’ rental commission upfront and now has refused to refund the commission for the period after my tenant exercises their right under the new law and leaves.<br>Over the past two weeks, I have contacted several other well-known London letting agencies, including Dexters and Johns & Co. All of them confirmed that they charge landlords their rental commission on a monthly basis, so when a tenancy ends, landlords are not paying commission for months when there is no tenant. To the best of my knowledge, I am not aware of any other major agency that still expects landlords to pay a full year’s commission in these circumstances.<br>I find this approach completely unfair and out of step with the current rental market. Rather than adapting to the new tenancy legislation, Foxtons appears to be protecting its own revenue at the expense of landlords.<br>I will be escalating this matter to the Property Ombudsman and would strongly encourage any landlord considering Foxtons to carefully review their commission terms before signing anything. There are many reputable agencies that have already adopted fairer monthly commission models that reflect the new legal framework.<br>Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Foxtons to other landlords.

After 9 months, a failed purchase and a failed buyer along the way, Duncan Yeardley managed to get my sale over the line and I couldn’t be more grateful, despite every possible challenge thrown our way.<br><br>The last couple of months in particular weren’t always straightforward, but the team kept things moving. Communication was proactive throughout, I knew what was going on, and they were constantly chasing and keeping on top of everyone involved.<br><br>A huge thank you to Callum, Anastasia, Tom and the team for getting us there in the end… Would recommend Duncan Yeardley to anyone selling their home in the Bracknell area.

It’s quite a challenge to complete the forms from<br>conveyancing when selling on a rented leasehold property. Much of what’s required is difficult to obtain when it’s the letting agency in connection with the tenant as in my case. However, Samantha gathered the outstanding information for me in a very pleasant and efficient manner and I’m very grateful for that. Five solid stars to her.
14th Jul 2026 (14 days ago)Our sale with Palmer and Partners started with Lewis coming to value and take our photos, absolutely lovely guy, and the photos looked excellent, nothing was too much to ask. We did receive a high amount of interest and we received two best and final offers within 8 days which was amazing. Hayley dealt with correspondence in the interim and was very polite, friendly and responsive the entire time, again nothing was too much trouble. Paul took over proceedings and has been an absolute pleasure to deal with since we first spoke, he has been very patient with us and explained everything in a clear way, as well as being very understanding , professional, and also a good laugh throughout (which has helped lift our spirits at points!) We have had far quicker proactive action and responses from Paul and his colleagues at P&P than anyone else including our solicitors! They have been great from day 1. So we absolutely would use them again in the future and will recommend thoroughly to anyone.

The images to support my sale were some of the best I've ever seen, with additional video and drone images of the area. His narrative to describe my home was engaging not just a bland description of a room. He understood that you are not just selling a property but a lifestyle. I cannot rate him high enough.

After a few failed attempts at viewings and offers for a one-bedroom flat, I got in touch with Foxtons in Islington. I had an appointment with their agent Alexander, who showed me three interesting properties over one hour. It was a great experience, since we moved around with a Foxtons’ car. Alexander was really friendly and helpful and he recommended and arranged for me to go check one of their flagship made-to-rent buildings the following day, which is where I finally decided to move and got a lease signed. I totally recommend renters to look for Foxtons’ advice and trust Alexander’s experience.
