We first met Andrew the branch director who came across very approachable and pragmatic, with a clear strategy on the sale of our home. Once we appointed Martin Flashman, they were straight on the case and organised multiple viewings overt the first few weeks after the property went live. They kept us informed on all the viewings and gave us feedback on these. As a team they knew exactly what type of buyer would likely purchase the property and had a clear eye on this to try and ensure we could get then through the door. In a very slow market we managed to get the sale agreed in just a few weeks. We could not ask for more. After the sale was agreed, they continued the same level of professionalism until completion. At a time when other local friends are generally getting fed up with local estate agents when trying to sell their house, by either being told to constantly readjust their price point, or not being proactive enough when they have agreed to an agency and almost all o f them pulling their property off the market, Martin Flashman were able to secure us a swift deal to allow us to move onto the next chapter of our lives! We would recommend them to anyone wishing to sell their property in the local area.
We have recently bought our house using Curchods and can highly recommend them. In what is usually a stressful time, they were always available to talk to, happy to help and made the process as smooth as possible. Review as a tenant and based on ending a tenancy. Start of my tenancy was with a different letting agents which was then switched to Curchods mid tenancy.
Please note I tried to be as helpful and courteous of a tenant as possible, happily let them take photos and measurements for advertising. Always left the property clean and tidy. Even left the property to allow for viewings whenever they wanted, as I knew staying in the property can sometimes be awkward. Even helped explain certain aspects of the property.
Hoped to be treated in a similar way at end of my tenancy. Unfortunately not. Was charged an extortionate rate for minor things.
-Was charged for cleaning, which is fair if it was needed, but when I asked for a receipt, they could not provide one because they didn't actually get a cleaner in. Was told the charge was for "compensation". Note we actually had the property professionally cleaned.
-Was also charged for damages. Which I considered fair wear and tear, 1 was a low level scuff mark, barely visible, no wall or paint damage but was 8+cm long and 2 small stain lines on a window sill, 0.5-1cm in length and no more than 2mm in width. Again they didn't actually carry out any work/repairs, so clearly wasn't a big deal. Just charged me for "compensation".
Tried to briefly challenge, they couldn't care less and fobbed me off. I didn't want a long drawn out process to dispute further, just took the hit.
I had left properties in much worse states in the past and got all my deposit back. They clearly just want to try and keep as much of your deposit as possible.
Been renting 10+ years and this is of course my own personal experience. If you disagree with my opinion then please disregard this review.
We have nothing but praise for the Weybridge office of John D Wood. Chris, Adrian & Tom were always positive, friendly and helpful. We were kept up to date at all times and they successfully negotiated a sale and purchase for us. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
I would advise anyone to avoid renting through John D Wood. Our agent, James did not represent our needs and on numerous occasions went against our wishes which eventually culminated with him raising our rent to more than we had already agreed with the landlord.
JDW continued to show people around our flat after we'd made an offer and paid for referencing, entertaining another higher offer forcing us to up our asking price after all other estate agents had removed the flat from the market.
We were manipulated and essentially blackmailed into paying above what had been agreed and threatened we'd lose out and lose our referencing fee if we did not act in a short space of time.
Estate agents are abysmal at the best of times but JDW are particularly untrustworthy, money grabbing, capricious, crooks.
I would like to thank Tierney and Claudia and the Jackson Stops team for they support, managing all in a highly professional manner. All went smoothly and I would definitely recommend Jackson-Stops.
wish had the option to give a minus rating. Vacated the property and completed all contractual obligations however still waiting for the security deposit to be released after almost a month. Staff is passing this on to landlord with no initiative to resolve the situation. STAY CLEAR OF JACKSON STOPS AND STAFF!!!!

Poor, rented a property, which we gave back in better condition than when we took the lease up. Check out report came back with nothing negative. Leaders Weybridge Client (Landlord), refusing to communicate and give money back or even the dispute amount. Been 6 weeks since we left the property and still don't know what we are disputing with the TDS.
It is clear the landlord is not a trustworthy individual, and would advise Leaders to screen their clients better.
For what was a protracted and complicated property sale included within that estate of a late relation, it was a important to engage with an Agent that had the relevant empathy, management and commercial skills. Adam was a consummate professional and assisted proactively with market and client offer updates, necessary information for the solicitor and beneficiaries. We would not hesitate in recommending Knight Frank to prospective buyers & sellers.
Adam Burlison and Cedric Roul have been a pleasure to deal with on our recent house purchase.
