26th Sep 2024 (16 weeks ago)Never use Barnard Marcus Ewell or Epsom - I had 3 valuations booked in with them. The first cancelled the day before and the second cancelled an hour before - both times I had had to arrange working from home around my busy job. The third time I got a call from Annabel 10 minutes before the valuation with them with her trying to do the valuation on the phone and said as I wasn’t a ‘hard sale’ they weren’t going to bother coming to see my home and that they’d seen similar before. She then laughed and said I probably should have told you this before as you’ve probably been waiting in, extremely unprofessional. To top it off I got a call from someone different at Barnard Marcus that afternoon asking how my house hunting was going - clearly there is absolutely no communication within the office. They’ve now potentially lost a sale and future purchase from me and many of my friends who are currently climbing the property ladder.- 14th Mar 2024 (10 mo. ago)Over value and don't check out buyers position. 10th Apr 2023 (1 year ago)Called in on Wednesday to ask if they could print/copy me one piece of paper and I offered to pay for it...the young lady who came to my assistance was very nice and helpful but when she turned around for approval of this from her colleague,her revolting colleague turned round with a nasty face and said there a printers up the road and carried on working! What a disgusting revolting nasty women!

Matt was professional, cheerful and always available to help. He responded quickly to any queries and kept things moving, without being pushy. I would highly recommend this local agent.

25th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)I have used Barnard Marcus, Sutton for the purchase of my first property. Being the first, I have a lot of questions and was totally unaware of the process. Wintana Araya (from Barnard Marcus) has come to my rescue and helped me immensely with explaining the entire process. She has patiently handled all my queries and cleared all the doubts. The good part is even if she was away, she used to get back to me at the earliest, which helps me in completing the entire process on time (which was the dire need for me). I would also like to mention Georgia Cowles, who has helped me a lot as well while Wintana was away on other appointments, etc. Thanks a lot Wintana, Georgia for your help!! I would really like to recommend Barnard Marcus for your property needs.

All team members at the Worcester Park branch played such a vital part to every step of our buy and sell journey. Without them, none of it would have been possible! 25th Nov 2024 (8 weeks ago)We bought our home through Daren at Cavendish. We initially saw our house about 15months before it eventually completed - but this was due to issues with the chain below us. Daren was very good at keeping our sellers informed and managed their expectations as well as keeping those in the chain above informed. Our house purchase eventually completed and Daren helped to ensure the final few steps were as uneventful as possible. He kept in touch throughout the whole process, but wasn’t constantly chasing as he fully understood the complexity of the issues. Hoping to never have to move again - but would happily use the services of Daren and Cavendish should the need arise.

Always keeping me in the loop regarding progress, ensuring a steady flow of viewers and following up viewers for feedback. It was quite a journey but thank you, especially Sandra, for you persistence and resilience throughout.

10th May 2021 (3 years ago)Appalling experience, don't use these agents. No due diligence, no clear information, no urgency in anything they do. I've gone with other agents now having wasted 4 months on what should have been a straightforward no chain sale.

While they are a smaller independent agent, they will absolutely give you the personalized service that an independent can provide. Give those big estate agents in Surrey a miss, take your business to V&H. The communication throughout the process was exemplary, the dedication to getting the sale was second to none. We had tried to sell previously with the usual suspects in Surrey and none of them could get the sale and it seemed hopeless, V&H got it done in 10 days! There were many times in our sale where things got rocky and Maria went well over and above day in and day out to ensure that everything went through. I truly believe that if we had went with another big establishment high street agent that our sale would not have happened. While Maria was absolutely amazing, we also had interactions with the other associates at Ashtead V&H Homes. When Maria was out of office our file was well looked after, the service didn’t slip at all which is very rare in a sales situation. As I said at the beginning of this review, I really can’t say enough about Maria and V&H. These days reviews are either 5* or 1* and it’s getting more and more difficult to sift through them to make a decision. This is 100% a genuine 5* review. Were there issues in the sales process, of course there were, we were selling a house. But it wasn’t about the issues, it was about how they were handled, the speed at which they were handled, and the fact that when something came up we were never left to worry, V&H were always just a phone call or e-mail away. Thank you so much Maria and V&H Homes for the personalized service and all the time and effort that you spent on our file. We absolutely owe our sale and the fact that we are snugly in our new home all to you! Very best regards, Danny
