We had recently contacted a few estate agents in the area to find out what our property was worth, in particular Bairstow Eves from a neighbours recommendation. I called the number once but didn't manage to get through to anyone. I left a voicemail and then minutes after i got a call back. I was very impressed with the initial phone contact with the lady called mimi within the branch. She took her time to find out why we wanted to sell and where we wanted to move too (the other agents didnt ask!) She really cared and understood our personal situation for wanting to know the value of the property. I had great communication throughout the valuation stage with the manager and I even got a follow up call! Would definitely recommend using them to all.

On the lettings side, I was rarely without tenants for long. Piers Houssemayne Du Boulay has always worked exceptionally hard to find the right tenant and is a pleasure to work with, something that can be said of everyone at Hamptons in my experience. When it came to selling, Tara Sinclair provided lots of positive advice on pricing and strategy, which was of great value as we began to market the property. Jessica Black found a buyer, then spent quite some time smoothing over the inevitable ripples as the sale progressed; Jessica's ability to calm nerves and inject common sense into proceedings kept the sale on track where it might otherwise have fallen apart.

As a first time Landlord, letting out my family home, understandably I was extremely nervous and cautious. After James visited my property he gave me very clear and informative process with very realistic figures. I came on the Market and within a week Scott found me a ideal Tenant for above the asking price. This was fantastic work shown by both. Catherine helped with all the documentation making sure I had everything in place for a move in with no problems. I was very surprised just how easy this was! House-hunting in Central London is not exactly a spa break, to say the least. After months of dealing with several agents, and growing increasingly disheartened, it was positively a relief to land at John D Wood in Battersea. Antonia was absolutely outstanding from the off, in every respect, and a genuine pleasure to deal with as a person. She was incredibly attentive and intuitive to what I was looking for from a property, however specific, and from that point, only suggested properties that truly fit the bill. This alone is a stand-out trait; Antonia singles herself out from the swathes of time-wasting agents who suggest irrelevant properties and telephone incessantly. Unlike my experiences with other agencies, I never once felt pressured, or part of a sales target, and this is entirely owing to Antonia's very human approach to the task.
