Throughout the purchase of the property and then the finding of the tenants I found the agents to be excellent.
The team themselves were well organised and arranged the tenants very quickly. Hannah Kirby was excellent keeping me up to date with everything and gave me great peace of mind as the rental venture is new to me. I would happily recommend both her and the team for both purchasing through them but in particular organising and management the rental property.
It has been hassle free and they have made it an easy process explaining clearly each stage as we progressed.

Poor communication with unreasonable hidden charges. All smiles and professional when trying to gain our business, as soon as we signed this changed to dismissive attitude and poor service. Their mistakes cost us money and they take no responsibility nor accountability for it. Poor service from start to finish and I’m glad our business with them has now concluded. I would strongly advise anyone and everyone to avoid them whether selling or renting.

In particular, Petra has been the representing agent that I’ve found my house through and the service has been nothing short of excellent. She quickly understood what I was looking for and found me a house within a matter of days. No other estate agent had filtered out the houses that they knew weren’t suitable for me. Hands down the best estate agents we have ever encountered. We had a few poor viewings with Bridges and were almost put off but Orchards couldn’t have been any more different. A special mention to Daniel Findlay - what an asset he is! He met us on our first viewing - no hard sale just relaxed, very professional and knowledgable. On agreeing the purchase, Daniel kept us updated throughout and helped keep things ticking over. Our completion day was a bit of a nightmare due to the sale of our property but after giving us the key, Daniel rolled up his sleeves and gave us a hand shifting our belongings into our new home. It all started with the sales man, David, who was very professional during the viewing and once my offer got accepted, I worked solid with Hayley Levy.
Hayley from the start was very professional, empathetic to any challenges with the process, as- ‘buying a house can’t be that easy’. She was always easily accessible on the phone or via email. No matter how challenging things were, she was always calm and reassuring and always willing to negotiate a better deal for me. I must admit besides some of the paperwork not moving as fast as I wanted, due to the nature of the house, Hayley did everything in her capacity for this to be completed just over a three months window.
Her approachable manner, and always ready to help made the entire process enjoyable. I would be having Hayley over for tea once I move into the house and would share pics once this has happened.

My Journey with Orchard started good but ended up in a nightmare. I will not recommend their services as they are untruthful and dishonest. When apartment was handed over, it appears that the cleaning was subpar, with minimal attention given to detail. In addition to this, the property management has been lacking, as several issues were encountered such as broken toilet seats, a faulty sink drain, cracks in various areas, torn silicone and list goes on. These issues have caused significant inconvenience and required three days of my personal time to make the property habitable. Considering I explicitly mentioned the urgency of service deliverance due to having a new-born baby, I would have appreciated transparency regarding the readiness of the apartment and any potential delays in handing it over. Despite this, no contact has been made regarding the necessary repairs until their doors were knocked. I am rating my journey based on their dishonesty, unacceptable behaviour, and unfair treatment.

After a few months on the market with another estate agent, they were insisting a reduction in price to encourage further viewings. David knocked on our door by chance and said that he could sell our house for its current asking price with a couple of buyers in mind.
The first viewer put in an offer, but sadly this fell through. Jaz found a viewing one week later which resulted in a sale being agreed just £5k below asking.
We were getting married during this time and David’s team took the stress away from us along with most of the heavy lifting too.

Daniel took the time to get to know me and my circumstance, breaking the mould of the typical estate agent persona - Daniel was very kind , honest and personable always being realistic.
