Although we eventually didn’t find a place to rent with Chancellors, I cannot praise Shai enough. We have been very demanding and specific about what we want and he has consistently throughout our search advised us in the most efficient way. He was patient and always open to conversation, always available to show us around properties even twice. His attitude was very friendly and open.

Awful ????, just dreadful. Didn't even want to give them 1 star as they are totally incompetent. Travelled from Portsmouth for a viewing in Bicester to be told I couldn't view it and I would have to come back another day. Also dreadful long drawn out paperwork and to be told you can't have it at the end anyway. I wouldn't waste my time on this company whatsoever.

Alistair Millar and the rest of the team have been fantastic in dealing with a house that was on the market but then removed due to a separate buy-out agreement made. They showed huge patience and were generous with their time helping with a matter that, in the end, was of no benefit to them. Pharez at Bicester Chancellors acted for our sellers and so a) conducted the initial and subsequent viewings for the property we ultimately bought (as well as some others we looked at), and b) was our main point person towards the end of the transaction.
Hannah (in the Bracknell office) helped out with progressing the purchase whilst legal due diligence took place and was very helpful also, but Pharez was also available during this process.
Pharez couldn’t have been more helpful, and was friendly and easy to get hold of throughout.
A real pleasure when dealing with both Pharez and Hannah to deal with agents who knew what they were talking about, were dialled into what was actually going on and worked hard to keep things moving. Would thoroughly recommend either of them.

I have never been spoken to so unkindly by a lettings manager! I decided I no longer wanted to rent out my house, but to live in it instead. Continued to barrage me with calls and emails checking to see if I still wanted to rent it out even after I asked him to stop. Then I was receiving phone calls and emails from someone else at Chancellors Bicester. I think they mustn't have enough work to keep them occupied...

Note: This review is for Zsofia Szam only - and not for anyone else at Chancellors.
Zsofia, importantly, understands a customer relationship. Zsofia introduced me to this property and there was never any pressure. Zsofia simply provided me, very politely, with all the facts so I could make a judgement call on the right property for me. This approach works so much better than someone pushing too much and annoying the customer in the process - and this happened with others! Zsofia stood out.
Two months into the tenancy agreement, a different Chancellors employee visited for the first building inspection - a very poor visit - someone that saw tenants as second class and subservient; this employee not even having the courtesy to respond to emails. I was so disappointed with how I was treated that I intended to terminate the contract at its minimum duration.
Thankfully, Zsofia completed the second building inspection visit today - everything the first person wasn’t - quick, efficient, very polite and respectful of private property when taking photographs. Very smooth.
I hope Zsofia is in a management role soon as the manner with which she conducts herself is exemplary and this needs to feed down through other staff - ensuring uniformity in excellence - and not have the current position of having some very good but also some very poor staff.
Thank you Zsofia - you certainly do your bit - and a lot more - for Chancellors.

Good Day to whom it may concern.
My wife and I have been looking for a property to rent since we moved out of our rental in Yarnton due to unforseen circumstances.
We tried various companies and areas but to no avail.
I contacted Zsofia of Chancellors Bicester who I had spoken to from South Africa in June of last year.
I explained the predicament we where in and that we had been gazumped on a property we where buying at the last moment.
Zsofia went out of her way to see if there was any rentals that would take dogs and also have a six month break clause.
She certainly did this by finding us two properties to look at of which the second one was just what we were looking for including a fenced garden for the dogs.
Thank you Zsofia I do hope the rest of the rental goes as smooth as our dealings with you.

Getting your House sold is a stressful event at the best of times, even when things go exactly as you planed. We had quite a few issues with various aspects of our house sale, which was further exacerbated because we were trying to sell from 200 miles away. Easily the best lettings agency by far! The only one that would consistently be in touch with my sister and I and help us work around our work schedules and still find a suitable place. We used the Bicester branch of Chancellors, we had Dan as our agent who was selling our house for us, we sold our house in 18 days for the price that we wanted, unfortunately that buyer pulled out but ,Dan and the team had a new buyer in place within 2 days for the same asking price. We did have some issues with the house we were buying through a different estate agent but Dan and Alistair were there to help us out and help sort any issues we had.

Went there personally to collect some info of houses or flats available with one room or two!
The young gentleman was indeed available to collect my email/mobile number and what i was looking for.
Replied at the spot that he will send an email or phone call. Never did.
After two week's ,i went there again and asked if he had some news since the lack of communication was really poor and house's were available on web just like I asked, he just answered "I think a sent you an email,I think!" .
Never i received an email or a call..it's a petty that 8hours a day sitting down in front of a computer and not one email or call!
Costumers should receive an email or call even with a negative answer or something , that shows respect and competence and good quality costumer service .

Alistair and Dan have been fantastic from start to finish. We started with a different agent and didn't get anywhere and had very poor communication. With Chancellors it was the opposite, weekly updates with breakdown of stats and good contact with Dan throughout. I would highly recommend them. Everyone of the team that I had contact with gave a professional and helpful service. My wife and I have bought about a dozen houses between us over the years, and the process has usually been a vale of tears. Not for nothing does it rank in the top three most unpleasant processes to endure, along with bereavement and divorce.
However, we are great believers in credit where it's due. The Chancellors staff we've dealt with have all done a first-class job, helping to lube the process wherever they could. Jennifer Dowden looking after rental issues, and Abbey Allan in the sales progression team, have both been a great help. However, a special mention in dispatches must go to Daniel Brennan in the Bicester office. Daniel has fully grasped the value of continuous communication. He has the wit to know that a telephone call with no news, is still a call worth making. He's done Chancellors proud.

We put our house on the market with Chancellors soon after lockdown finished and just after the stamp duty holiday was announced. Alistair gave us a sensible valuation, which although I thought was slightly optimistic, was matched with an offer within only a few weeks. Dan and Pharez were doing viewings, both really nice guys, quick to give good feedback and most importantly got the offers in. Then throughout the sale process we worked with Eve in progressions who was super helpful in moving things along with our buyer and their solicitors. Overall great service, couldn’t fault it and glad we went with Chancellors over all the other agents in Bicester.

Where to start...
My partner & I were planning on relocating to the area and enquired about a property advertised online. To start, Chancellors Bicester were quite helpful and showed us 3 other potential properties.
We were booked in to view all of them (one viewing cancelled on the day) and were pleased with one of the properties, so made an offer.
One of the properties we viewed had a very unusual situation with the landlord where they had an offer through Chancellors, as well as an offer through a friend. The landlord hadn't accepted either offer, and seemed to be messing everyone (including Chancellors) around. Regardless, this doesn't look great on Chancellors dealing with such sketchy and unreliable clients.
My partner & I made sure all relevant documentation and information required to proceed with our offer was completed quickly and sent to Chancellors for them to make an offer to the landlord.
On the phone we were told our offer had been accepted, and with the property being vacant we were asked if could we move in 4 weeks earlier, which we couldn't. However, we were able to be accommodating and managed to organise for us to move in 2 weeks earlier than originally planned.
We chased multiple times for written confirmation of the offer being accepted and proceeding to the next step (which was never received), this is where things started going down south very quickly with Chancellors Bicester.
All of a sudden, work needed to get one to the property (which wasn't a condition of our offer or the agreement moving forward). We then were told we were unlikely to move in at the agreed date and it would be a couple/few weeks later than expected - which would have left my partner & I temporarily homeless due to us accommodating the landlord's timeline and requests.
We consistently requested for the pre-rental agreement checks process to start, of which we were fobbed off by Chancellors Bicester, saying the landlord doesn't want to start the process or look at providing a written contract without the work being completed on the property. This wouldn't have been completed until our original move-in date.
We later found out our application was never properly processed (when speaking to a different Chancellors branch, who said they didn't see our application or advanced situation on their system (which is connected up to all other branches). They confirmed that they had seen other information in their system, such as viewings and email correspondence.
Every time we called our contact at Chancellors Bicester, they were "always on the other line" and would take days to return my call. They also slipped up one occasion saying that they saw me calling in but couldn't answer as they were "just so busy". When I called on a different or a withheld number, conveniently our contact always picked up and was caught off guard.
My partner called on different occasions and the situation was always presented in an exaggerated positive light, which wasn't the case, nor was it represented in that way to me during the advanced discussions when things were getting worse.
We would have never know the above information if we hadn't chased up or spoken to other branches of our own accord. This branch was horrendous and nothing like the service we experienced with the other Chancellors branches.
We had to withdraw interest in the property in the end, as we were running out of time to find, view and proceed with other properties.
They couldn't get my first name right - one day I was Alan, Andrew or James, nor could they spell my surname correctly.
I would avoid Chancellors Bicester at all costs, unless you're happy with poor service, lack of communications or being told outright lies on a regular basis.

Positive reviews are puke worthy fake. Check the single contributions by so many of them. Bought a house off these jokers, risked a sale over the sake of £100.. Really? We suspected under hand selling / gazumping (can't prove it) so stuck fast at our original offer. Weekend goes by and they accept our offer. Guy showing us around commented "you know you need to buy furniture too?" As if the house was too expensive for us. They took months picking up their sign from outside, so dumped it in front of THEIR door. Just remember guys, for each buyer you anger means one less customer in future.

Finally got one after 2 days of trying, but property went before we were due to view, eventhough we were first to enquire ( very frustrating) and our viewing wasnt cancelled, so I took time off work for nothing. Now I have lost out on renting the house I wanted, as well as having to make the time up at work. Very frustrating, will not be using them again and will advise anyone else to steer clear.

We just recently bought a house through Chancellors and the experience was fantastic. We arranged to see some properties and they showed us everything they had in our price range in one day on a Saturday (important because I work out of town). John Bouwer was the agent who showed us around and was very knowledgable, friendly and full of advice and nothing was too much trouble. We saw the house we loved and had to move extremely quickly as the seller needed to be out in 8 weeks! John was instrumental in ensuring we managed to do this acting as the go between and hurrying people along. Throughout the process John was exceptionally professional and friendly keeping us well informed and calm throughout, nothing was too much trouble with regular contact via phone or text even in the evenings and at weekends. I completed a 5 house build in North Bicester and employed a mainstream property agent to take care of the sale. Even though they had exclusivity after 6 months of marketing their net respnce was the properties need to be dropping in price by as much as 30% as they felt it was over-priced. So I decided to employ Chancellors. Meeting Vinny he explained (without hard selling) their approach and marketing strategy. He also adviced that the prices set where very fair and should not be changed. Being cautious I thought I should trial them for a few months. Within a few weeks I accepted an offer and very close to the asking price shortly followed by a 2nd propety.
I've read the other reveiws on this site and those that have given 1 star performance I fail to understand how they can give such poor marks. I have had weekly updates, SMS appointment booking, feedback and face to face meetings and not at anytime did they waiver from their objective and never did I feel that they where giving 100% towards selling these properties. I'm hoping to secure a second site in Bicester and will not hesitate on meeting with them again to discuss further marketing strategies for up and coming developments. Well done to Vinny and his excellent team and keep up the great work.

We were extremely happy to receive (and accept) an offer within the first week of marketing our house.
Whilst we hope not to move any time soon, we would not hesitate to go back to Chancellors to sell our property - they were extremely helpful and professional.

I have used virtually all the estate agencies in the high street of Bicester and I have inadvertently left Chancellors last on my list. With hindsight, I can now say; that it was a big mistake. For twelve months I have kept swapping agencies from one to another hoping that the next one would do a better job than the previous one, but to no avail.
Compared to the rest, Chancellors had quite unique ways of finding buyers and seeing the whole process through. All in all, I have had very few time wasters thanks to the stringent vetting process of buyers conducted by Chancellors with regards to affordability, especially when it comes to singling out potential buyers who were in a position to proceed with the purchase as opposed to the ones who just wanted to take a peek at what the property looked like from the inside.
I have been kept informed throughout the process by Chancellors’ agents, by phone, text messages and emails. Feedback from viewers was always received for each and every viewing within a maximum period of 48 hours and without fail.
My special thanks go to Vinny Kumar, the local Sales Manager who first visited our property back in late July and who highlighted to us the difference between Chancellors and the rest of the local agencies. He was so true to his words, they are world apart from their competitors.
At Chancellors; they do not just advertise your property on their website or on some ‘Property For Sale’ portal, they do much more than that, they persevere and persist at finding you the right buyer and they eventually did and at the price we wanted within a matter of 60 days.
Vinny is assisted by two young Sales Negotiators; Joseph Tustin and John Bouwer. Both Joseph and John were absolutely fantastic at their jobs, with a very professional approach to the way they conduct business both with the buyer and the seller.

I have been so impressed with this team that my wife and I decided to buy the property we are downsizing to also with the help of Chancellors. It was a complete no brainer. Although we have access to our own legal team, we have also decided to use their legal and conveyancing department to complete this move, and so far so good, all legal procedures are being scrutinised and completed with military precision.

I would definitely recommend Chancellors in Bicester if you are thinking of renting a property in Bicester. I did it for the first time 12 months ago and was very nervous about the whole thing, having heard "bad tenant" stories from my friends! However, Annie reassured me if you had the right people, you shouldn't have any problems and she was right! I registered with Chancellors earlier this year with a view to moving back to Bicester and gave a list to Laura and Annie of very exacting standards and requirements and also requested that I be contacted with immediate effect if anything should come on their books matching my needs.

Annie is friendly, at all times 100% professional and goes out of her way to meet every wish and demand of Landlords. The organisation in terms of letting a property, inventory, communication, and care for the property is exceptional. We feel our house is in very safe hands and only wish there was a Chancellors in Northampton, where we have a house on long-term let.
