Paid over market value, for a property with a broken toilet... this was reported 3 times by the previous tenant and not brought to our attention before we signed for the property. They blame Urang for the key being delayed (it took 6 weeks to get a 2nd coded key for a front door, as a couple moving in?)

Called up to view a property, everything was as you would expect with friendly staff and quick to respond. However, upon attending the property for the viewing after rushing from work to be there on the other side of London, there was no sign of the agent. After multiple attempts to call and email the agent…nothing. Waited 30 minutes and left with no word still, without having viewed the property. Very unprofessional - would not recommend.

After moving in during the end of September, there were initially a whole host of issues with our flat rented through and managed by Chesterton's.
As well as being generally run down and tired from the previous tenancy, such as limescale ridden shower heads, greasy oven hood (despite claims a ‘full professional clean’ has taken place), extremely worn carpets and excessively scuffed up walls.
We initially raised the issues on 2/10 and were told on 5/10 that they would send someone round to investigate. A contractor then came 2 weeks after that - around 20/10.
Since then, it has been more or less radio silence from the property management team.
I just yesterday decided to move my wardrobe in my room from one side of the room to the other. Boy am I glad I did this as what I found is pictured below.
I discovered what looks to be a botched disguising job - whereby a wardrobe was placed over existing mould, paint then applied to the exposed section above the wardrobe which was visible, and the rest left behind the wardrobe.
In addition to this, the wardrobe itself started disintegrating, due in part I imagine to the damp but also the cheap nature of the furniture.
I had been unknowingly living, sleeping, storing clothes, and breathing in a room with rancid fungal spores.
Unfortunately, their property management service is either insufficient or lacks any real care, attention, or drive. The Landlord pays to have Chesterton's "manage" their asset and if I were them, I'd be extremely angry and upset that they have mismanaged it so poorly. Either that or the landlord was fully aware and advised them to neglect it - who knows.
All that is certain, however, is that a little bit of care and or attention from a Chesterton's property manager wouldn't have gone amiss...
Would actively avoid renting through Chesterton's, especially if the property is managed by them.

First time I leave a bad review at a business but we are shocked at the level of service. We had made an offer for a family home of 5bedrooms and it was accepted by the landlord among other offers as he liked our profile (Respected professionals). 30 min later at 8pm we thanked the agent Milan for the news and we asked two questions by email. Literally the next day at 9am Milan called us to tell us that it is red flag that we have not yet registered at the website (without having responded to our email with our questions)then him and his manager Eleonora Pole rushed us to wire the money immediately. We only had requested to view the property a second time as we only viewed it for 10 minutes and potentially to speak to previous tenants which was in our initial offer. We have rented properties for many years and we have excellent references, we were never treated with such disrespect. Even after we communicated our concerns, they did not apologise, tried to turn this around and say that they didn't respond to our email because it was late at night, and still had the audacity to call us at 9am to claim we are the red flag. We ended up pulling our offer as we wouldn't want the property to be managed by them. Really a shame as we loved the house!
Be aware as a tenant but also a landlord!

David provided a wealth of invaluable guidance, advice and industry expertise and, at the same time, was flexible, accommodating and approachable enough to listen to what I, as the client, wanted to achieve from the sale. Assisting David was Alex Shami, who was a superb sales negotiator and whose commercial astuteness and persistence resulted in him achieving an excellent over-asking sale price for me. I’ve had interactions with almost every estate agent company in London at some point over the past 15 years. None have ever come close to the standard & quality of Chestertons on the New Kings Road.
We had struggled to sell our property for a long time, and had dealt with some different estate agent companies. Each company gave a lot of promises up front in order to get the property listed, then clearly struggled to fulil those promises, never appearing honest in our dealings, & quickly lost interest.
Then we contacted Chestertons on the New King’s Road, the team were incredible - head & shoulders above any I’ve ever worked with. Immediately there was honesty, none of the stereotypical BS that often gets associated with estate agents. Hugely knowledgeable, and honest from our first conversation. Once we listed the property with them, we genuinely felt that we had somebody partnering with us, on our side, doing the best they could to get us the sale they needed. Their service was outstanding throughout in all our interactions, second to none, as was their knowledge and expertise of the local market. We also noticed a big difference in the number of viewing they could get versus others, because they have such a big footprint in Fulham.
All this from a team of people who didn’t just prove themselves to be real experts in their field, they were good, professional, nice people who were a pleasure to work with. It’s a team brilliantly led by Glynn who runs the office & clearly brilliantly leads the standards for all his team. The best thing we done, was reach out to him in the first place.
This is the first review we’ve ever written. We felt we needed to as they were so good. And also to anyone in the Fulham area who is considering buying or selling a property, they are head and shoulders above the rest. Trust us, we’ve dealt with them all!

having recently got back to my email from tavelling, I write to thank your office for the excellent service we received in connection with our recent sale and purchase. I have already written to you to thank you and Anna for your patience and advice on the rather complicated sale. Although the purchase of Drive Mns proceeded smoothly I do want to commend Josif's diligence , courtesy , reliability and professionalism. He guided us on many matters and his advice prvoved sound.
All in all our experience of dealing for the first time with Chestertons was entirely positive, indeed impressive. It will remain our preferred agent for the future and we shall recommend your company to our London friends.
