Cubitt & West Lewes were fantastic from the start. David Knox gave great advice about valuation and preparing the house for sale. A sale was achieved very quickly and on price, with great communication around viewings. Chris Bignell, Garry Wheeler and Gareth Doolan were all friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. While the sale of property which C&W managed went super-smoothly the purchase of our new house was much more challenging and this is where the vast experience, excellent communication and creative thinking of Chris Bignell and Garry Wheeler came in. Garry kept the communication going up and down the chain which kept everything on track despite multiple set backs and challenges which went on for months and months. I really appreciated regular check-ins with Chris Bignall whose informed positivity helped me to keep the faith! His years of experience and contacts helped to smooth the feathers of slightly tricky solicitor, and when our vendors made a last minute demand which threatened to derail the sale after 6 months waiting, Chris and Garry came up with a creative solution nothing short of genius. Thank you all for your support through a very stressful set of circumstances, you're a fantastic team, 5 stars aren't enough to describe the excellent expert advice and friendly effective service we received. Highly recommended.

Can’t speak more highly of Cubitt and West. Gareth and Chris helped my father and I with the sale of his property. As this was linked to the sale of my own property things got very tricky at times but they were incredibly kind and persevered until we achieved our goal. Thanks guys, you helped a dream come true.

Cubitt & West did a superb professional job when acting on my behalf in selling my house.
Their advertising campaigns resulted in 45 viewings and the property had good offers that were accepted.
The first "sale" fell through as the chain collapsed. Cubitt and West were straight back on the case and resulted in a 2nd sale. Unfortunately that fell through due to the interest rate rises.
Again Cubitt and West worked their magic and this time we went down the "modern auction" route.
This 3rd sale was the charm and was completed successfully.
My thanks and appreciation goes out to Gareth Doolan, Chris Bignell and Manager David Knox for their hard work, tireless efforts, professionalism and a superb outcome all round.
I would definitely recommend Cubitt & West to anyone requiring the services of an Estate Agent.

Myself and my partner recently purchased a property in the area. My experience with Cubitt & West Lewes was fantastic.
From the first viewing of the property through to collecting the keys. I was guided and helped through the entire process and kept up-to date throughout every step. This made the entire process simple.
I would like to thank all of the team Julie Lovell who first showed us the house, Gareth Doolan, Christopher Bignell and Garry Wheeler who were always on hand to help and provide guidance and support.
The team were able to provide better and more helpful advice, keep me updated and understood the process much better than my Mortgage broker, lender and solicitor. My regret is that I did not first use the services that the team recommended.
Without the team offering their guidance and support the process would have been considerably harder and more difficult and probably impossible. I really cannot thank team enough for everything that they have done and I cannot recommend them highly enough and I would really like to sincerely thank the team so much for everything they have done. Without their help I am not sure I would be living in my new home.

We arrived in Lewes in April 2023 to find our next family home. We quickly set our hearts on a property which Gareth was highly reactive and knowledgeable about. Gareth showed us the property that same day, and we did a second viewing the day after, enabling us to be very competitive and fast in our offer. We recently sold our house in South Chailey and Cubitt & West, Lewes, dealt with the marketing. We had a super service from all of the staff especially Gareth and Chris and the former manager David. We would certainly recommend this estate agent. They were professional and friendly and kept us informed of all developments in what was a very difficult market.

I have just purchased a house in Lewes from Cubitt & West. Chris, the Senior Sales Manager couldn’t have been more helpful & supportive. It’s not easy buying a house alone but Chris explained what was happening every step of the way & regularly emailed or called with updates. He allowed me to view the house as many times as was necessary, ensuring that the vendors were comfortable with this. As Exchange & then Completion grew nearer it was very reassuring to be able to call & check in on progress. If Chris was out on a viewing Gareth & Dave, the Manager, were equally helpful. When I collected the keys on Completion I was presented with a lovely box of new home goodies. A great team. Thank you Chris

Currently selling a house. As we near completion Cubitt & West have now decided to charge us extra for a mistake they made and and go against the contract we have in place. AVOID using if you're trying to sell a property. Zero integrity.
