Excellent service throughout the whole process. Sound and realistic advice, always available and great communication. Although I was selling a small price at the lower end of the market, I was treated with the same level of service as if I were selling a mansion! I would thoroughly recommend them if you really want to sell your property. They are a league above some of the other estate agents in Lewes I have experienced!

A brilliant service from beginning to end. Tina Williams gave us very helpful and practical advice about selling our house and we accepted an offer within days of putting the house on the market. We had more difficulty in securing an onward purchase but she and the team were incredibly proactive in helping us to find and secure a house (on sale with another agent), offering us help and advice along the way. When we had an offer accepted, the whole team were highly efficient in getting the chain to completion. Gareth Doolan was the model of professionalism and efficiency, ensuring that all queries were dealt with promptly and any difficulties resolved. I recommend them highly for their integrity, professionalism and communication.

Very professional service from start to finish. A refreshing change to find an agent who wants to sell a house and is proactive in finding a buyer that actually fits perfectly rather than putting a listing online and doing not a lot else. Tina and Chris at Lewes had lined up 6 viewings within 24 hours of going to market, all of which had available funds and were ready to go, which was exactly what I had asked for. They did all viewings, quickly negotiated a sale at a figure we were happy with, and I was really impressed with the amount of continued momentum the team kept up to advance completion without any need for chasing up on my part. Particular praise goes to Chris, friendly and professional and I felt he really was acting in my best interests.
I highly recommend them as agents if you have a house to sell.

I can't explain how much Chris and Garry have done to help with the sale of my god fathers property. As I live over 500 miles away from Lewes, and this was my first experience with Selling a property using a deputyship. Cubitt & West Lewes were fantastic from the start. David Knox gave great advice about valuation and preparing the house for sale. A sale was achieved very quickly and on price, with great communication around viewings. Chris Bignell, Garry Wheeler and Gareth Doolan were all friendly, efficient and easy to deal with. While the sale of property which C&W managed went super-smoothly the purchase of our new house was much more challenging and this is where the vast experience, excellent communication and creative thinking of Chris Bignell and Garry Wheeler came in. Garry kept the communication going up and down the chain which kept everything on track despite multiple set backs and challenges which went on for months and months. I really appreciated regular check-ins with Chris Bignall whose informed positivity helped me to keep the faith! His years of experience and contacts helped to smooth the feathers of slightly tricky solicitor, and when our vendors made a last minute demand which threatened to derail the sale after 6 months waiting, Chris and Garry came up with a creative solution nothing short of genius. Thank you all for your support through a very stressful set of circumstances, you're a fantastic team, 5 stars aren't enough to describe the excellent expert advice and friendly effective service we received. Cubitt & West did a superb professional job when acting on my behalf in selling my house.
Their advertising campaigns resulted in 45 viewings and the property had good offers that were accepted.
The first "sale" fell through as the chain collapsed. Cubitt and West were straight back on the case and resulted in a 2nd sale. Unfortunately that fell through due to the interest rate rises.
Again Cubitt and West worked their magic and this time we went down the "modern auction" route.
This 3rd sale was the charm and was completed successfully.
My thanks and appreciation goes out to Gareth Doolan, Chris Bignell and Manager David Knox for their hard work, tireless efforts, professionalism and a superb outcome all round.
I would definitely recommend Cubitt & West to anyone requiring the services of an Estate Agent.

Myself and my partner recently purchased a property in the area. My experience with Cubitt & West Lewes was fantastic.
From the first viewing of the property through to collecting the keys. I was guided and helped through the entire process and kept up-to date throughout every step. This made the entire process simple.
I would like to thank all of the team Julie Lovell who first showed us the house, Gareth Doolan, Christopher Bignell and Garry Wheeler who were always on hand to help and provide guidance and support.
The team were able to provide better and more helpful advice, keep me updated and understood the process much better than my Mortgage broker, lender and solicitor. My regret is that I did not first use the services that the team recommended.
Without the team offering their guidance and support the process would have been considerably harder and more difficult and probably impossible. I really cannot thank team enough for everything that they have done and I cannot recommend them highly enough and I would really like to sincerely thank the team so much for everything they have done. It’s not easy buying a house alone but Chris explained what was happening every step of the way & regularly emailed or called with updates. He allowed me to view the house as many times as was necessary, ensuring that the vendors were comfortable with this. Of several estate agents we courted when selling in Ringmer, C&W provided a significantly higher level of information through a very professional evaluation and pitch. However, we had a social connection with another estate agent and initially went with them. After months with near to no viewings we switched to C&W who got a few viewings booked including our eventual buyers.
The one downside was involved the erection of the street sign where they regularly failed to follow requirements such as were stipulated by our neighbours - but the office and sales staff got us a sale and we're very satisfied.

We are first time buyers and taking our time to find the right home. Sue has been great so far in being responsive and helping us look. We're also being so careful with covid because our son is not yet vaccined and I have felt very safe viewing with Sue. Because we are first time buyers we can take our time poring over the descriptions, photos and videos on Rightmove. The C&W photos do a good job of showcasing a property. I wish more estate agents would include the room dimensions in their floorplans and provide good floorplans like C&W do.

I recommend Cubitt & West Lewes 100%.
I first dealt with them in 2019 when Sue showed us around a number of houses and we ended up buying one via them. Based on that experience C&W Lewes were the only Estate Agents I contacted when I was thinking of selling in 2020.
As soon as I decided to put my house on the market Sue was on it. Lining up quality viewings straight away and making the process as stress-free as possible for me. Sue is personable, really knowledge, so hard-working and always there to listen and offer her views and advice in a professional and helpful manner.
I have dealt with a lot of Estate Agents over the years and C&W and Sue in particular, are top of my list.
Things got a little sticky when we got close to exchanging contracts and Chris from the branch was absolutely brilliant. Sue was on holiday and Chris stepped and spent hours speaking to ALL parties get the issues resolved and contracts exchanged in-line with my desired timing.

More recently we sought advice regarding either selling or doing some improvements and delaying the sale for a few years. Sue came to the house yesterday and spent a long time offering absolutely brilliant advice, really above and beyond what I was anticipating. I feel really disappointed of how they have treated me during the time I stayed with them
I can’t even described how awful they have made me feel.
Even if I expressed that to them not apologies received and they are forcing me to
keep the contract active till Oct leaving me not options more than waiting to sale my property.
Really childish and damaging way to work that can only work in their bad reputation as they already have a bad name in lewes.
Many people have warned me against them, I just wish I would hear about it before I signed the contract with them
I would not trust this branch in lewes as they lied and stop responding to my enquiries as soon as other properties were ranking better.
Not professional at all and charging the highest commissions in my case

You communicated well and kept us informed of new properties and what was going on with the property we have bought, you were enthusiastic and very professional. Gary - The Fixer - who when the our purchase ( C&W were selling) was agreed he kept us informed, chased paperwork when necessary and knew what was required by everyone, he put the three other estate agents to shame. We cannot rate Cubitt & West highly enough. The team in the Lewes branch (particularly Sue and Robin) have been so helpful and efficient throughout our recent move from Essex to Lewes. We faced numerous hurdles with the legal side of the purchase and the team were always on hand to help push things through and to help coordinate the vendors and solicitors during a very stressful purchase. I never imagined building a relationship with an estate agent, but having the familiarity and consistency really helped us feel at ease. It was Sue who ultimately recommended the property that we ended up buying and her frank, warm personality and good humour, along with her professionalism and efficiency were really invaluable. In my opinion you only really get a true sense of an estate agent when things get fraught and in this sense Cubitt & West Lewis office passed the test with flying colours. Thanks to Susan, in particular, for her professionalism which enabled us to meet an incredibly tight timeline to exchange. Her sense of humour isn't too shabby either. I don't think you would be disappointed if you appoint this office to facilitate your property transaction. Like all good estate agents, Cubitt & West do get busy so don't be averse to giving them a little nudge if timing gets tight.

Can't recommend this place enough. We're first time buyers and they were friendly and efficient from day one. Even when we had a few frustrating delays (which was out of their hands), it felt as though everyone was on our side and doing everything in our best interest. Special mention to Susan who was a rock all the way through and went above and beyond what I'd expect to help progress the sale. The only very slight criticism was that the solicitors they recommended were difficult to deal with at times but not a reflection on the branch itself. Overall would thoroughly recommend.

Awful interfering company. They relisted a home we we're buying without telling us. We only found out because we're on their mailing list. Don't get new started with Andrew at cubitt and West and Don't use them unless you have to and if you have to good luck.
