Recently rented a long term
Let and Balgores are fantastic and MARK in the Hornchurch branch was exceptional.
He replied to my emails after his usual hours and went to the trouble of letting me know I had been accepted on the house after closing hours via email, as he realised it was important for me to know prior to the long weekend. I didn’t ask him to. He did it because he cares about his clients and is obviously a workaholic !!!

I have rented here and abroad previously and will return to Balgores because of Marks work ethics which are amazing. I hope he is appreciated and noticed by Balgores.

Before I took on Balgores as my property manager, I reviewed a lot of others and I narrowed down my selection and chose Balgores because of their responsiveness, local knowledge and professionalism. Found the agents to be very professional and was able to contact them after hours. They were very knowledgeable on the area we were renting out in. Agents (Reece and Mark at Hornchurch branch) were able to achieve multiple offers on the property we were renting out and the process was completed quickly due to the efficiency of the agents and the admin staff. Balgores are the best, they will do everything in their power to sell your house. Other agents may put your house on rightmove, deal with viewers etc but Balgores will SELL your house. Their staff are smart, polite, efficient & will do what they say they’ll do. Billy the director is great, he’s knowledgeable, on the ball, & a great reflection on the business. Even if your house doesn’t sell or it falls through, you can bet that Balgores will have done everything in their power to make it happen.

As a tenant I wouldn’t recommend renting from Balgores. During the two years we rented we experienced issues which they were slow to resolve. Our fire alarm needed servicing. We were very clear to Balgores as to which fire alarm was the issue but they didn’t pass these details onto the workman, who came and serviced the wrong one. He had to be sent back out to service the correct fire alarm. We then had an issue with another fire alarm. Prior to sending out a workman, Balgores has to obtain permission from the landlord. Balgores admitted to attempting to calling the landlord then forgetting to follow up the call after they didn’t get through to the landlord. We were on holiday for a week during this time and came home to a still broken fire alarm which woke us up multiple times during the night.

They said they’d ring the cleaners they use to arrange an end of tenancy clean. Again they didn’t get through to the cleaners. However they didn’t inform us of this. Instead they rang us a couple of days later asking if we’d organised the clean which they said they’d organise. They also didn’t give us a date by which the clean needed to be done but when we did book it told us ideally it had to be sooner.

As part of the end of tenancy report, they stated the cleanliness of the flat was “good” and “fair” following the professional clean. Despite this the landlord claimed to be unhappy with the cleanliness. Balgores then decided to agree with the landlord, which completely contradicted the report and the attached photos.

Do not rent from Balgores!! They treat tenants in an awful manner and only care about keeping their landlords happy.

Michael at Balgores was absolutely brilliant in helping my girlfriend and I, find our first flat together. Michael was always on hand to give us information on all the properties that were in our price bracket. Callum was also a great worker along side Michael. Can not fault service provided by the Lettings department in Chelmsford.

Viewed a property with very short notice with Callum and he pushed my offer to the landlord straight after and i’m due to move in in two weeks time!
