After making enquiries with the Lettings Team at Beresfords, I was introduced to Karen who visited my property to explain the Lettings process. Karen was punctual, polite and extremely knowledgeable about the process. I was reassured instantly and all my questions and concerns were answered in detail. Although I have not yet made a decision about whether to proceed or not, I would recommend Karen's services to anyone considering renting their property. She is real asset to the company and I will be in contact with her in the near future to discuss my lettings options!... Read more

The team at Beresford's were fantastic throughout the process of selling my mother's property. They took time to talk my mother through each process as it was happening (my mother is blind). We commissioned Beresford's Hornchurch to sell a Chalet Bungalow. First contacts were with Scott who came to the house to discuss the sale and value the property, Scott felt that he could achieve an excellent price and that it would be sold within 12 weeks, which it was. Having agreed the sales price, we attended the Hornchurch office to complete the paperwork and sign a sole agent contract, this was ably competed by Lee & Ben. Very quickly there were several bookings of which one was a couple, who were specifically recommended to us by Lee as reliable and genuine purchasers. Throughout the remaining weeks leading up to completion, Lee and Daniel would regularly contact us with updates and make sure all parties were on course for completion within our12-week target. We certainly valued the ability to hand this task over to Beresford's and had confidence that they were doing a professional job due to their responsiveness and regular updates. The worst estate agent I've ever encountered. Zero communication, zero ambition to sell my property. The property is vacant so they had keys to carry out viewings. They left a light and an extractor fan on for over a week after a viewing and it was lucky I checked the place otherwise the light would still be on. Hopeless bunch of chancers. They've been very busy because the Stamp Duty holiday is coming to a close but everyone in Beresfords has been peasant; kind, helpful and I'm sure that I've asked too many questions of them but they never complained and always smiled and answered questions and dealt with anything that I asked of them. It's only been two days since I moved so I'm still in the mode of "Never again - and where the he*l is my toothbrush". However, I'm sure that I'll think about moving again at some stage in the future and Beresfords will be my first port of call. I recommend them.... Read more

Thank you to Dan and his team at Beresfords Hornchurch who supported us through our first house purchase recently. Dan was super prompt to respond (often within minutes) by email and always on hand over the phone. This made the process, in what is a very manic time period, super smooth from their end. Absolutely awful. Unless you are selling with them and using their own financial advisor then don’t bother. You will be the last person allowed to view, will not be called back and will be exploited to spend over the asking price. Go to Bairstow Eves, so much better. Please note that despite their response below, my review has nothing to do with not having an offer accepted. I made several calls to them to see properties in which i was told every time that i would receive a call back- i never did. Before i could see a property i was told that i HAD to speak to their financial advisor first, something i have found out since is not ethical practice. The experience I had with Beresford(Hornchurch) is like buying at an auction!I was not told by the estate agent there was a better offer put on the table or ask if the amount is my final or best offer. So, Seller of 47 Frimley Avenue, Hornchurch, Essex, RM11 3PX, you could have got more for your property if I was given the chance to up my offer. I called the estate agent after I received a message stating that the vender declined my offer and decided to go with someone else. I was not given the opportunity to make a higher offer! I told the estate agent several time during the conversation over the phone I am not happy with the name he is calling me so please refer to me by my first name. He carries on calling me the same name. I have wasted my time looking at the property! I have offered the full asking price for the property. So how would someone knows to offer more ?! It's not an auction! Not happy with their service! The experience left me feeling they already made up their mind on who they want to give the property. Are there any decent estate agents in Essex?!! I bought my first property through Beresfords in 2015. I really respect their brand that's why I wanted to let my property through Beresfords before Christmas 2019; however it was unfortunate that I was provided wrong, misleading information by the new letting manager about the letting process. This caused losing 2 months because of 2 failed tenant applications. After this unfortunate experience my first contact has changed; Cameron Cruiks managed the letting process very professionally and helped me to let my property just before Christmas. He has got excellent communication skills which helps him to understand both the tenant and the landlord expectations; he exceeds the expectation with his great people skills which would help him to move up quickly on his career ladder.
