I had a very positive experience with Foxtons and my agent, Richard. I've recently been relocating to South London, and it's been my first time renting in London, which was a pretty daunting experience.

Richard was very happy to answer my many beginners' questions, and always told me what expectations of mine were realistic given my budget and other requirements. In other words, he gave me the best advice, rather than telling me what I wanted to hear. He's easy to get along with and drove me to all the viewings.

In the end I made one offer with Foxtons but had another offer accepted on a really great place elsewhere so I went with that. Nonetheless, I am very thankful to Richard, not only for the good service but because if I hadn't gone on several viewings with him, then I wouldn't have got as good a feel for the market. So, indirectly, he helped me make a decision on the place that I ended up going for.

Overall would definitely recommend for someone looking to move to South London.

Wouldn’t recommend rental with Brixton team. We advertise our property with sales team end of last year, we are not in the country so we did Airbnb and it was challenging getting through the door because of not many free days and the timing between guests bookings. We were advised by rental team to short let with them as this would be easier getting through the door because it will be only managed by Foxtons. They found a tenant and offered 2 year’s contracts but we did highlight from the beginning our priority is to sell. I did ask what’s going to happened with selling side if we agree with 2 years contact and they said the tenant need to live at our property minimum 6 months, and after we can come to agreement give them 3 months notice, etc. After signing the contract we were told we can’t sell for the next 2 years, otherwise we will be paying penalties. The agent lied to us saying we never discussed sales part and we only discussed taking the advertising for sales down. We also can’t redraw as we already sign contract! We feel we have been tricked into the deal, it’s been over a week and we still haven’t heard back in how we can resolve the situation and the tenants supposed to move in on the March 1st despite chasing and calling them! After signing the contract the communication gone quiet even though I did kindly ask to let me know the cost of fixing one of the shower, on which of our personal belongings should we remove (bear in mind we are not in UK so we needed some time to organise this). To get the rental deal with us they could ring 5 times a day, after signing almost “0” communication. We are very disappointed with miss leading information and how we have been treated! I’m sorry to leave such a long comment but I had no choice

Cannot recommend highly enough! Incredible service from start to finish.

Towards the end of 2019 Foxtons in Brixton sold my property in record time in a very challenging environment. Not only did the flat sell above asking price, I was in the position where I could pick from a number of buyers competing for the property. Given the market challenges they faced, and the desirability of the property (ex local), the speed and efficiency of the service was incredible.

Thomas Lebbern and Abs Morafa were great partners throughout, providing ongoing guidance and support. Their attention to detail and thoroughness was vital when dealing with a very challenging legal process. At times of intense pressure, they were constantly close the action helping all parties come to the best outcome.

For anyone thinking of buying or selling in Brixton, Tom and the team at Foxtons are the place to go.

I've been letting with Foxtons Hackney since over 2 years. There's not been a single operation that they haven't managed to mess up. Overcharging for changes in tenancies, miss tracking our rental payments (always paid out regularly), mis-communicating to us and our landlord, and even breaching GDPR laws, sending out sensitive informations to former tenants of the property. 100% worst letting agency in London. Stay away!

Jamal is one of the best negotiators I have met. He is helpful, trustful, and fast-responsive. Jamal is always thinking from your point of view with warm heart.
