Annabel from Hamptons Clapham was such a star. She knew exactly what our criteria was and before the property came on the market we were shown a great flat and put in an offer then and there. Annabel was very attentive and helpful from assisting with the offer to handing over the keys. Thank you so much
we had a great experience with the Hamptons.
Particularly with the Clapham agency where we were looked after with extreme care and professionalism by all staff. Especially want to thank Victoria and Rhian for their helpfulness and kindness.
They managed to rent, due to their experience, our property in three days finding a reliable and serius tenant.
Paolo & Giacomo
I've worked with Will, Abs and the rest of the team at the Balham office for 5 years. They are always very professional and helpful. Highly recommend them.
Paul, the manager, and other team members failed to manage our expectations at every level. It began when we challenged the suggested asking price which we thought it was far too high. They insisted it was right, if not a bit low. We explained that the last thing we wanted was to put it on for too much, get excited, then have to come down in price and be disappointed. They said the market in Balham was awesome and talked of sealed bids and we should probably push for even more. We pressed the point but they insisted they had buyers waiting in the wings. After hardly any viewings and a failure of all these buyers to materialise they suggested we drop the price by £30k exactly the scenario we had said we wanted to avoid at outset, then tried to blame us! They managed to hit pretty much every negative cliche you can attribute to Estate agents. We changed to Purple Bricks, saved 5k in fees and sold to the FIRST person who viewed. My suggestion is you avoid KFH.
My experience with KFH was nothing but positive. This was in many parts thanks to Christian Gray. He was professional and knowledgeable throughout. In particular, his level of communication and speedy response time to queries was especially important when managing a drawn-out process. He was able to provide me with reassurance through his proactive approach and it was mainly my confidence is his ability to assist in resolving outstanding points that prevented a walk away. Which I'm very glad did not happen! Thanks to Christian and KFH I am now in the process of moving into a lovely flat.
Terrible experience working with Kinleigh Folkward & Hawyward. Having worked with a number of quality agents over the years, KFH charge the same type of fees but do not provide as good a service as the likes of John D Wood and Foxtons. They did not ensure everything we put in the agreement was completed before our move in, did not inspect the property enough to know it was full of damp, were slow on responses, did not even ensure a professional clean was completed before we received the keys, all of which was in the contract. To get respectable tenants, you need to choose agencies like John D Wood who provide high quality service.
I’ve been looking for a very specific apartment for many months now. Haart Brixton, and in particular Sebastian, have been incredibly helpful and patient in taking me around to viewings outside working hours, understanding my needs, finding and showing me only applicable properties. I don’t consider myself to be an easy customer, but Sebastian’s nature is polite, personable and engaging. Recommended.
Do not go through Haart Brixton! The manager jessica was extremely rude, refused to listen, raised voice and hung up the telephone - all unprovoked. She clearly has a temper issue and should not be client facing. They also kept 500 pounds of reservation fee after the landlord dropped out claiming document was not completed in time. This was not the case as all documents were uploaded (even with the managers erratic and constantly changing document requirements) and this was clearly reflected in the web portal. I even receieved a call that the landlord was pulling out before actual application deadline and now she is claiming i did not complete the aplication/upload document and is refusing to refund the deposit. They are clearly running a scam here. Do not use at all cost!
I would like to thanks Pamela very much for all the help she provided us with over the years. This reflects very positively on the impression I have of Keating Estates. They have been established in Clapham Common for ever, and keep on delivering the same consistent customer service.
Well, lets face it, if they have the flat you want you're going to sign up with them regardless of what someone on the internet says. But just beware that they will try to screw money out of your deposit with made up problems (go through your check in report with a fine tooth comb, ours was full of omissions), they will be an absolute pain to deal with over the smallest of things, they will treat you with absolute contempt. Make sure you ask them in advance about any maintenance issues that are outstanding because they won't tell you in advance and then they'll pretend they never knew about it. I've been with a fair few letting agents in London but these were by far the worst. Very glad to be rid of them.
I had a great experience letting my flat through Alexandra in the Brixton office. She was proactive, really helpful and kept in touch through the whole process and I got an asking price offer from the first viewing. I would definitely recommend working with Alex and her team.
I have dealt with a large number of estate agents over the years, for both sales and lettings, and I can safely say that this is the worst service I have ever received. Foxtons live up to their reputation to perfection. I have never paid so much for so little. Save your time and your money and use one of the many good estate agents out there who actually know something about housing, who respond to queries and who actually care about their clients. If you can possibly avoid giving Foxtons your business, then do.
