Abs completely went out of his way to help us find the right place - even accommodating Skype viewings and being our eyes when we couldn't be in the country to see places. He knew just what we were looking for and we really appreciated all of his help - we are so glad he found us this flat. Thank you Abs!
Paul, the manager, and other team members failed to manage our expectations at every level. It began when we challenged the suggested asking price which we thought it was far too high. They insisted it was right, if not a bit low. We explained that the last thing we wanted was to put it on for too much, get excited, then have to come down in price and be disappointed. They said the market in Balham was awesome and talked of sealed bids and we should probably push for even more. We pressed the point but they insisted they had buyers waiting in the wings. After hardly any viewings and a failure of all these buyers to materialise they suggested we drop the price by £30k exactly the scenario we had said we wanted to avoid at outset, then tried to blame us! They managed to hit pretty much every negative cliche you can attribute to Estate agents. We changed to Purple Bricks, saved 5k in fees and sold to the FIRST person who viewed. My suggestion is you avoid KFH.
From a buyer's perspective: Christian really goes out of his way to make things work. He is a good agent, enthusiastic and uses your preferences to source other properties you haven't thought about yet that are suitable. Very happy with the buying experience.
Terrible experience working with Kinleigh Folkward & Hawyward. Having worked with a number of quality agents over the years, KFH charge the same type of fees but do not provide as good a service as the likes of John D Wood and Foxtons. They did not ensure everything we put in the agreement was completed before our move in, did not inspect the property enough to know it was full of damp, were slow on responses, did not even ensure a professional clean was completed before we received the keys, all of which was in the contract. To get respectable tenants, you need to choose agencies like John D Wood who provide high quality service.
The team at Pedder, especially Sofia, were great: professional, friendly and very helpful. They responded to my flat enquiry quickly, set up a viewing the next day, and then processed the paperwork for our rental efficiently. They made the process of moving very easy and straightforward.
Pedder Property offer excellent helpful service.... until they have your money. Then you may as well not exist. Had so many problems with my flat since moving in, and 2 months of hassling has done nothing.
Pedder are clever, they have realised that there is no point investing time into maintenance and customer service, because reputation counts for nothing in the fast moving world of property sales / lettings. If they lose you, no big deal, plenty more where that came from. They have invested all of their time, money and efforts into getting your money and couldn't care less what happens thereafter.
I had dealt with Harry Patterson when buying my property in Battersea from Brixton Haart branch and he was a professional throughout the purchase process. Kept me updated at every stage of process and was very helpful whenever I needed additional information/advice.
I am new to the UK, I am looking to purchase a property and one of their agents inflated the price of a flat to match my budget, literally adding 15k£ to the flat price, hoping I'd make an offer higher than what was expected. Lucky me I went online to check details before I made that offer.
Unfortunately, sadly, not trustworthy to me anymore.
Great quality of service from Paul, Charlie and co who held a high standard of professionalism throughout the sale process. I appreciate your hard work and patience with me. This is my second transaction with KFH and would happily do another one with this office and suggest to others in passing.
KFH are a horrible pathetic corporate bag of nails. They are liars. In any other market conditions they'd wrap up in a month and the staff would be back to hairdresser school. I look forward to the day they are done.
