I've been having the worse experience with Foxtons.
Not only my rental is late and still missing the other half of the repayment cos only 1 Tenant paid and it's lease out to 2 people. Foxton seems to be really bad or should I say good in math to deduct and rededuct amounts like ground rent and sublet fees in duplicates without explaination. Also apart from only receiving half my rent, foxton went to deduct full management fees from my already pathetic payout. I'm questioning this management I'm paying do they even deserve the full fees??? When I only received HALF my rent!Their response is awfully slow. Im at my wits end. This is by far the worse I've experienced with them. Anyone with the same plight please share your stories. Thanks

My wife and I are letting our property via Foxtons in Elephant and Castle.
Our main point of contact, Ranjit Singh, has been incredibly responsive and helpful throughout, providing us with excellent service and getting tenants in swiftly, dealing with all the admin and being very available.
He went through the landlord licence application with me in person in the office, giving up time in his busy day to see me face-to-face, which I valued. Our one-year-old daughter was even there while we chatted.
We wanted to say thank you for how smoothly the process has been handled so far.

For the fees Foxtons charge, the level of service has been appalling. Despite giving clear instructions about how the tenancy deposit should be handled, they ignored my requests, caused weeks of unnecessary delay, and cited internal procedures with no legal basis. Communication was poor throughout, and I had to chase for basic documentation like an invoice and rent confirmation.
Their actions have risked breaching the legal deadline for deposit protection, and I have now referred the matter to the Property Ombudsman and will also be taking legal action to recover costs and fees.
For the commission they take, Foxtons should be delivering a far higher standard of service. I would not recommend them to any landlord.

Lola Robinson was fantastic. I made an enquiry and a day later she contacted me to arrange viewings for the following day. She showed me properties which met all our requirements aesthetically. A few were just outside the budget but from my experience every estate agent does this! She gave me great advice for renting properties in general and we were able to place an offer the same day. She communicated promptly and provided reassurance throughout the process. Credit to the office! Thankfully found the perfect rental for my partner and I despite starting the search last minute - thank you!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience due to the shocking level of unprofessionalism I've encountered with this agency.
Throughout the entire process, I was the one constantly chasing the agents for updates. Despite numerous promises to call me back, I never received any follow-up. It felt like I was doing their job for them.
The final straw was when an agent outright refused to show me two properties one in Elephant & Castle and the other in Canary Wharf simply because they didn’t feel like driving that far. The attitude made it seem like they were doing me a favor, rather than providing a service.
Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with the professionalism of this branch. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them to anyone.

I have had a very pleasant experience with the letting team at Foxtons in Elephant and Castle. It was a very personalised and dedicated service that I received from Lola and Francesco. I have never known any estate agent to be so helpful, supportive and accommodative. They were simply brilliant. They took the stress out of our move. I am so grateful to both of them and I wish them all the success in whatever they do and I strongly recommend them for a promotion / pay rise and bonus. Lola Robinson used threatening language towards me, brought up an extra colleague to my flat without asking for consent priorly (this potentially violates the protection law towards the safety & privacy of me as a private renter). I only allowed her & her clients to view the flat, never knew she would bring an extra person without noticing. Not only that, she kept pushing for pictures & videos even though I repeatedly specify (like multiple times verbally, & via text message afterwards with her manager) that I am not comfortable having pictures of my personal belongings being posted online or in Whatsapp group chats, which I own the rights to refuse. I responded to all of her messages to try to accommodate viewings to my best convenience even though I never granted her the right to contact me (‘potentially’ breach of data protection), yet she used aggressive language towards me, tons of exclamation marks, and even tried to threaten me and demanded me to provide her with my personal schedule, which is insensitive & unreasonable. She doesn’t have any rights to “inform” me that “she will be coming to my flat” if I politely decline the viewing due to unavailability, yet she even brought an extra colleague to the property without asking for permission or noticing me. I have rented with Foxtons for 4 years - everyone has been extremely professional and helpful, for example Rebecca Hutcheson, Kwan Tang, Solomon Taylor, Kizito Kasirye, Dewi Selman. I don’t know why Foxtons gets bad rep sometimes but from my personal experience, I highly recommend them. I just don’t understand what happened to Lola - she needs a lot more trainings & doesn’t seem like a good fit for the job. I am not usually the type who leaves public reviews, I probably don’t need an apology from her, I sincerely just hope she learns and treats her new clients with more respect and discretion as I felt like I was harassed & her aggressive attitude was horrible to deal with (this is not being enthusiastic, it’s pure unprofessional & unreasonably aggressive). I would continue to recommend Foxtons to everyone that I know, which is why I gave them 5 stars - however, if u could, just avoid Lola as she isn’t professional and is very aggressive and do not respect clients’ boundaries & privacy. I don’t feel safe dealing with her (& whoever the extra colleague she brought to my flat without asking for permission, I feel interrogated by her, with all the personal questions being thrown at me). Other than these two, everyone else that I dealt with at the Elephant & Castle & Tower Bridge branches are extremely brilliant

I’m a former tenant of a flat in Strata, where Foxtons was the letting agent, and I can confidently say their service is a masterclass in tenant exploitation. Upon moving out, Foxtons shamelessly refused to refund overpaid rent, inventing absurd excuses about needing the landlord to repay them first, despite the landlord already having refunded them.
Despite paying for professional cleaning through Foxtons before leaving, they had the audacity to attempt extorting an additional £250 from me. To top it off, they are now demanding that I pay so-called “letting fees” which I can only interpret as another underhanded attempt to squeeze every last penny from tenants.
Frankly, it baffles me why any landlord would willingly throw money at a company so dedicated to ripping off their clients.
Update: I disputed the proposed deductions through DPS. DPS decided, as expected, that Foxtons is not allowed to deduct lettings fees from my deposit. I have since received back my deposit in full.

Unfortunately, my experience with Foxtons has been highly unprofessional. Despite repeated requests from both my landlord and me for a minimum of 24 hours' notice before viewings, Hugo repeatedly ignored this, often giving as little as 3 hours’ notice. This disrupted my work schedule and led to fewer viewings for the landlord, as I was often unable to accommodate such last-minute requests.
Additionally, Denise misled the landlord by falsely claiming I was hosting parties during viewings—a complete fabrication. Given this level of unprofessionalism, I would not recommend Foxtons to landlords looking to sell their flats or tenants seeking a respectful and reliable letting agency.

Not a direct customer to Foxton’s however they have multiple cars that are taking up all of the parking spaces reserved for the local community. It’s very difficult for us as there is limited parking options for all the apartment buildings in the area. Please can you park behind the Strata building instead?

Foxton E&C’s management of my property checkout - bread and butter work for a lettings agent you would think - has been extremely poor. I had to manage the process rather than relying on them to do so. The whole experience has been time-consuming and immensely frustrating.

I appointed Gordon & Co, but after several months the company was sold to Foxtons. The property was overvalued. I gave them 2 weeks to try it at the price they insisted was right. It didn't sell and they refused to reduce the price. It was weeks before they agreed to reduce it. It then took a year for the property to sell as they kept reducing it by small amounts. I wanted the listing to state that F&F were included if wanted and they refused to go along with that, saying I should sell them to the buyer.

After the typical panic-search through the likes of Rightmove and Zoopla, we decided to focus on individual estate agents. Foxtons had some of the nicest properties and was without doubt the most responsive.
From our first viewing, we felt instantly at ease - from what is likely the most stressful/manic housing market in the UK and probably Europe. The properties were significantly nicer than any we had viewed, and our estate agent (Solomon) was personable, reassuring, helpful and ultimately professional, and I genuinely felt he wanted to get us the best match possible. His advice helped us secure what is easily the nicest property we had seen, over our 3-week search.
Foxtons have myself and the two other housemates as clients for the foreseeable, and as soon as our tenancy is coming to an end, I will be dropping Solomon a message for his help in our next search.

I went to Foxtons at the end of September looking for a new place to move to, I was introduced to Solomon who found us so many places within our budget and every single requirement we had (such as a cat), he found us such a great new cosy place, with a very kind landlord, and a beautiful location, every requirement was met, everything was great as Solomon ran us through the whole process with ease making the whole document and moving process an overall fun experience, (as previous times we have moved it has been a little more hectic), this time was amazing. Had an unsettling experience with Foxtons regarding an unnoticed evaluation at my residence, while I am fully focused and exhausted on my graduation. The inspection seemed rushed, lacking in depth, and post-visit comments by the manager felt intrusive and unprofessional stating “not a standard living condition to me”. Since when agency start judging my living space? Had no idea why there’s an evaluation while I am still 3 more month till the end of tenancy. There was also an issue with unauthorized video recording. I’ve raised a formal complaint and am expecting a resolution that acknowledges and respects tenant privacy and professionalism.

The agent I worked with was nice and understanding although communication was not always ideal due to the agency. The agency however requested for us to deposit a very large sum of money with very little time due (on a weekend) and only through continuous discussion they agreed to make us pay less to keep the offer which they had already promised us. Additionally the apartment was not thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. The apartment is great however and offered even more than they let on! Very happy with that part. I hope this review can help the agency improve but also keep on offering great places in great locations. :)

Foxtons firstly are amazing, however, the service I received from Malikat at the Elephant and Castle branch was outstanding!
I’ve been to multiple agencies to look for properties, but never have i seen an agent with a bubbly, lively and welcoming personality. All questions were answered efficiently and swiftly.
I would recommend anyone to ask for Malikat when visiting the Elephant and Case branch for a professional and high quality service!

Pavlo was amazing in handling everything and getting it all sorted quickly - I viewed the flat and was already moved in about a week later. He was very communicative and helpful with any concerns or questions I had, I couldn’t be more grateful! The whole process was smooth and since this is my 4th time moving within London I must say this was my favorite experience of all :)

Very happy with the service I received from foxtons in elephant and castle.
The photos were brilliant. They really captured the feeling of my home
I felt mostly with Lenard who was great at organising the viewings - very clear, Respectful, enthusiastic and paid attention to the details of my house.
I was happy to receive an offer of 95% of the asking price the first weekend.

I still haven’t received the deposit from foxtons. It has been half a year since I quit the lease, I have sent many emails to urge, and each time the result is sent to my account in 3-5 working days, but I have never received it. I thought Foxton was a big company and I trusted it a lot. But now I'm disappointed and I can't believe that Foxtons hasn't been able to refund my deposit after half a year.

I cannot recommend Soloman Taylor from Foxtons enough! The flat search is a bit daunting, especially for newcomers to London. Soloman helped us learn how the system works, gave us very honest and personalized help, and acted as a valued advisor in a field where other agents seemed to be very volume focused. Kudos Soloman and see you when our Lease is up!

I am a tenant with them and luckily you will get a premium rental with this agent in Elephant and Castle and will have your needs ignored for the duration of your tenancy, there will be issues that are not resolved until you check out and they will come back and ask why they didn't report it. And you will be bombarded by all the branches from foxtons in the last month of your tenancy asking if you can let them see the property within 30 minutes of the day and threatening you with the landlord's loss will falling down on your ????????????????????
