Very happy with the service we got from Hunters in Dewsbury with the sale of my late father’s house. I dealt with Rafiq who valued the house and then liaised with Jack Webb during the selling process who attended viewings for us and dealt with our buyers. My only criticism is that I think they initially wanted to price us lower than we anticipated, but in the end prevailed and got the asking price we wanted. Overall has been an excellent service, we look forward to the next steps now to completion.

I am extremely disappointed with the aggressive and unethical marketing tactics employed by the Dewsbury branch of Hunters. Despite my lack of response to the repetitive unsolicited junk mail to my property, they have continued to bombard me with unwanted materials. This relentless pursuit of my business has not only been intrusive but has also caused significant environmental waste.
The behavior exhibited by this branch is completely unacceptable and goes against the principles of professionalism in the real estate industry. I will never consider using Hunters' services, and I strongly advise others to be wary of their aggressive marketing tactics.

I found Rafiq very helpful, discussing and taking on board specific aspects/features, and quickly getting the property to market (unlike another top proprietary competitor in the locality where customer perspective is secondary and property is deliberately under valued). Jack was especially helpful and courteous throughout, particularly going out of his way to conduct weekend viewings and liaising with the buyer. The only minor criticism I have is that Hunters do tend to focus more on supporting the buyer than the seller, presumably as the buyer is critical for generating their commission. That said, overall a satisfactory outcome for all concerned and I would, therefore, both recommend and use Hunters again.

These guys helped us sell a property in Batley. Always polite and focussed on the phone. Jack was the agent assigned and although I very much did his head in he was always updating me on the status of the sale.
Rafiq who initially did the valuation and arranged the pics has been a long term associate who I have known since 2005 (Istanbul). He is also well known to my dad and his team as a long term customer at EC Garage (loyal since 2007).

In some respects Hunters were most efficient, such as finding a purchaser in quick time. However, the service fell sadly short with some misinformation which I believe Hunters failed to get to grips with. This resulted in a protracted sale which proved exhausting for all concerned. However, the service did improve with Rafiq's involvement - but overall we found the costs to be expensive when compared to the service that we received. Sadly using them again would need serious consideration.

I can now say I can recommend both sides of the Hunters business sales and letting as they have just sucessfully completed the sale of my flat in Dewsbury.
Rafiq, Jack and Fiona helped navigate through a difficuly sales process based on buyers not always being honest and withdrawing at the 11th hour. Hunters remained professional, positive and worked hard to find me new buyers which have now been successfull - thank you.
All the time in the background Sue and her team kept the lettings side going and liasied with the tenant during the sales process. I think this is a positive that both sides of the business worked together rather than against each other.

After having our property for sale with another agent and not having much success with them, A friend of ours reccomended Hunters estate agents, they were absolutely brilliant from start to finish, we were advised to have new photographs taken to highlight the quality of our property, Hunters managed to get us a sale within 6 weeks of putting our property on the market, communication was first class from Rafiq, couldn't ask for a better person to sell a property lovely guy to speak to very pleasant and always there to answer questions when asked.

I marketed my property with Hunters Cleckheaton from the end of May 2019 until October 2019 (typo on previous version). The office is not open on Saturdays and I had to complete my own viewings in the majority of cases (contrary to their response, I completed all but approximately 3 or 4 viewings). My preference was for their agents to do them but I was available and ended up doing most of them. In the majority of cases when I asked, no one was available to do them, so I continued to do them myself. You are approximately 25% more likely to receive an offer if an estate agent does your viewing (according to my new agent).
The majority of the 5 offers we received were very low so we rejected them. Between 10 and 20k below asking price. One offer we rejected and later regretted, I comment on this later in my review.
My new agent has been able to garner much more interest and more offers around the asking price. All this at a quiet time of year.
The sales team were very short staffed which I believe impacted the service. The approach to communication with potential buyers was very relaxed with minimal chasing to obtain feedback after viewings. I had to call them constantly to receive updates.
Their approach is very much market the property online and via an email list then sit back and wait. Something online agents can offer at a fraction of the price.
When they did receive an offer they offered no advice on how suitable they felt it was and how realistic it would be to obtain more. We rejected and months down the line they criticised our decision to reject it. I also believe another agent would have capitalised more on the opportunities they had and negotiated a sale.
When I said I was considering leaving them they sprung into action chasing every lead possible and were more active then than in the whole of the period we were with them. They also mentioned the threat of legal action against the new agent to try to deter me from taking the business away from them.
I am a genuine reviewer who works in a similar sector. I have realistic expectations. I switched to another agent and the difference is night and day. They have done every viewing and the communication is excellent. They have garnered more interest in 2 months and received more offers than Hunters did in 5.
Overall, my advice is to avoid Hunters for sales. The staff are friendly enough but do not seem to have the capacity or drive to properly manage sales (especially of properties that don't sell themselves) and they close on Saturdays, a key day for viewings and viewing requests.

Text and emailed at 12 as vendor not turned up ..left at 12.05 as we had other properties to view and not sure if they were coming.. received phone call at 12.06 to say he was running late. Advised we had left and was made to feel like it was our fault... final response from them was "well he won't rebook this vewing as hes traveled far to get there" so had we but we got there early. . Poor response from person . Will not use or recommend..

Absoloute frauds, tenency ended in may 2019 still recieving emails up to this day for rent !! Harrasing us with emails claiming we owe £1750.00 when tenecy ended in may. Still not given my deposit back 3 months down the line... Ashraf never comes on the phone because he has no answers to the questions. Funny how he can run a business with such a dodgy past which can be found on google.
Monthly harrasment for rent for a property which no longer has a tenency and not returning my deposit.
Stay away... im speaking from experience.

Lost keys, left lights on at the property after viewings, no communication, being contacted by a stranger who wanted to view the property, but came to me direct because, in his words, " no could be bothered " to show him round, reducing the price but not changing the price in the shop window. I could go on.
My experience of this estate agent is very poor. The house remains unsold.
