Absolute nightmare. Foxtons have failed to deliver on any of their responsibilities. The only time they were really keen on getting things done is when it was our turn to pay 6 months' rent up front. They didn't get the apartment cleaned before our arrival, despite delaying our move-in to allow time for them to do so, they didn't provide a 2nd set of keys, despite promising to do so and were rude and unhelpful every step of the way. One piece of the paperwork we were supposed to provide was missing (because they told me it was not necessary) and one of their agents actually said "Well I'm not letting you move in without [the document]". On top of the advertised admin fees were were presented with around £300 of hidden extra charges as well as a 2% credit card charge, which they failed to warn us about, which again was in the £300 range, their service costing over 2x as much in the end than advertised. I would never recommend them to anyone. I know they have a large range of flats on offer, but I would urge everyone to do their best to avoid Foxtons.
I recently purchased a property in the area and really appreciate Claudia at Knight Frank's help throughout. I had scanned all over Kensington prior to interacting with Knight Frank, and can say that they are the best agent in W8! Claudia knows the market inside out and facilitated a smooth negotiation + transaction process. Fast and clear communications, professional service and knowledge, cannot recommend more!
Extremely unprofessional service on lettings, extremely ignorant agents. dont do their works. Very regret that I rent with them. We have to call them day to day in order to get informed. ??? excuse me ?!
go to Savills, they are much more better agents. knight frank is just disappointingly unprofessional.

I needed to contact Strutt and Parker to obtain rental statements for one of my clients. Initially I dealt with Charlotte McKay who came across as a charming and very helpful young lady and provided everything I requested in a very prompt manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. I have subsequently dealt with Sarah Pascall and Stephanie Walker, who have maintained a high level of efficiency.
Here is what happened when my wife and I rented a two bedroom flat in Fulham with Strutt & Parker last May.
The moment we walked into the property we realised that it was not professionally cleaned as we had been told and we also found several things left by the previous tenants which we had to carry out ourselves. We examined the property from top to bottom and by the time we got to the kitchen we discovered that under the kitchen units there were hundreds of mice droppings, sign of a clear ongoing mice infestation.
We left the property in shock and my wife, who was in her 32nd week of pregnancy was so distressed that she eventually had to see a doctor. I explained the situation to Strutt & Parker but they underestimated the gravity of the situation and told me to contact the landlady myself.
The landlady scheduled a pest control inspection, I met the expert at the property who confirmed the gravity of the infestation and told me that they would try to fix the problem but they could not guarantee that it would not happen again since the property was surrounded by restaurants.
I gave Strutt & Parker a copy of the inspection report and I told them that the property was a serious health threat to my wife's pregnancy and the newborn and that we would ask to terminate the tenancy. I also informed the landlady who accepted to terminate the tenancy but did not apoligise to us and did not want to discuss the matter any further. The termination was conditional to the full deposit being returned to us and one full month rent being paid to the landlady.
We were glad it was over at last, even though my wife and I were the only ones who got damaged, both financially and emotionally.
I would not recommend them, they are completely unethical and insensitive.
I have been having a great experience with Salim as my agent! My moving situation is complicated and he has been great (and patient!) with advising on rental options to fit my needs, market availability, and having international components to content with as well as assistance dogs. Highly recommend working with him!
I tried to visit a flat with Foxtons, but it seems they have no focus on clients at all and no flexibility. If you don’t what they want, they don’t show you the flat. Such a terrible and basic error: the focus of any company should be the client, respecting client needs and availability to visit flats. Felt really disrespected.
