Engaging, sincere and made us feel at ease. She quickly answered any queries we had and we felt really looked after. Deeply Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend
We had an awful experience with John Francis Ammanford during the attempted sale of our home. After accepting an offer in October 2024, we were repeatedly told for months that completion was “imminent” — yet nothing happened. Communication was poor, timelines were misleading, and the truth was consistently withheld.
As a result, we lost out on around £12,000 in rental income and had to live in cramped conditions with family, with our two young children, expecting the sale to complete any day. Worse still, the buyer was allowed to move furniture into our house without our consent — a serious breach of trust.
After eight months of stress, delays, and misinformation, we’ve had to withdraw from the sale entirely — only then learning the buyer was still £42,000 short.
We’ve now filed a formal complaint and are seeking compensation. Absolutely would not recommend this branch.

Not very good at all I regret to say. A catalogue of failures that repeated over and over despite repeated apologies and assurances.
The final straw being an arranged viewing for 21st Dec that never ever existed.
This is just the latest in a series of failures on John Francis' part to fulfil their contractual obligations to effectively promote and sell the property.
Including but not limited to:-
1. Delays in putting the property on the market and erecting sign board (they'd ran out of signs!!!).
2. Not answering the phone or responding to messages left.
3. Not responding to e mails in a timely manner.
4. Not passing on details of offers made (a verbal offer not followed up in writing).
5. Not forwarding feedback after viewings.
6. Cancelling viewings due to staff availability issues (totally unacceptable).
7. Removing one of the joint vendors from the contacts list (nobody could account for who, why or when this happened).

We used John Francis Ammanford to sell our house and definitely made the right decision to use them! Kayley practically sold my house back to me after coming over for the valuation, she was so enthusiastic and positive! The photographer they use made the house look amazing in the photos and the 3D walk through was great! Once the house went up for sale Louisa was really quick with communication and we had a viewing booked pretty much immediately. Louisa was also enthusiastic and friendly. Our house sold straight away for the full asking price that they had originally valued so they were spot on with that. Overall I can’t fault anyone at John Francis Ammanford, they were always at the end of phone to answer any questions and kept us well informed, would 100% recommend and use again!

Lauren was very helpful when she first came to valuate our property and her enthusiasm was infectious. We were in two minds at first as to whether to sell but she gave us the confidence to carry on believing we would have no trouble selling.
She was absolutely right, we had viewings and offers in immediately when our property went live. She said she was there to help with the viewings if we required it and followed up and reported back to us with feedback.
We couldn’t have asked for a more helpful member of staff. Our sale went through without a hitch and was completed within 6 weeks.

Fantastic agents we looked at our forever home with John Francis. We had a buyer pull out and consequently our home was put back on the market. Unfortunately ( or more fortunately for us) that buyer had to pull out as their buyer pulled out. I was at home in Kent when Dana called me to advise me that our house was available again. Luckily we had a tentative offer on our property and then is confirmed over the weekend. I contacted Dana to confirm that our offer was confirmed. We all the hassle we had with Brexit then subsequently covid. Dana and all of the team at Ammanford were in contact even though they were working from home. I would recommend them for anyone looking to sell or buy in the area.
