Extremely disappointing…Started off excellently, then they got bought out twice (by Countrywide, then Connoll’s, I understand) and I barely heard from them afterwards. Their great Mortgage adviser also left, plus her replacement who didn’t let me know, in which time interest rates went up. Their newest in-house mortgage adviser in Killay is fantastic, however and really helped us out, I would highly recommend her. Relatives of mine also listed their property with JF Sketty before the service nosedived and they’ve had an even worse experience, now causing huge inconvenience and worry. I would absolutely avoid and go to Belvoir Sketty instead, whom I cannot fault. It’s very rare indeed that I feel compelled to leave a bad review but feel strongly that people should be aware, not to lose a lot of time and have to deal with lot of stress, if nothing else. It’s a real shame as the initial staff (whom I assume mostly left) were superb and I see that previous reviews on here recognise this.... Read more

We used Louise and her team for our house sale 2 years ago and they were amazing. So when we needed to sell our parents home last year, we had absolutely no hesitation using them again. As before the team were constantly professional, informative and supportive and the sale was seamless. They contacted us every week and without prompting to keep us informed of progress which made us feel totally involved and an important part of the sales team. Any questions or concerns we had were dealt with immediately and we were never made to feel daft for asking what to them must have been simple and routine questions. All in all the team made what is a very stressful process - especially as were are a couple in our late 60s with no previous experience of selling property - as stress and problem free as possible. So much so that whenever friends or family mention selling a property, we wholeheartedly recommend the team.... Read more

Never dealt with estate agents before (like many people), but I can truly say that the team at John Francis in the Sketty branch were absolutely fantastic. Genuinely couldn't thank them enough. Already a difficult time with dealing with the loss of my grandmother, they helped with absolutely everything ( far more than other people), on hand at anytime with help and assistance on what was going on with the sale (and other issues). They truly went above and beyond to make sure both myself and the other party were kept happy and the sale was done as smoothly as possible. Louise was exceptionally polite and enthusiastic from the moment she valued my house. The team kept me posted constantly with viewings and any offers that came through. Towards the end of the process became very stressful and Louise went above and beyond to help finalise the sale. I would love to give 5* if they hadn’t recommended their in-house solicitors to my buyer as this caused a lot of unnecessary frustration and stress which could have been bypassed but the team worked hard to get things sorted. Just completed the sale of my property through John Francis, Sketty. Though it took longer than anticipated, overall I am happy with the service I received and particularly from Louise, Emma, and Jacqui. They were professional, very courteous, and supportive throughout. I was kept informed throughout and received timely updates of viewings and feedback, and even when a sale fell through (due to no fault of theirs), I was updated immediately and they did everything to secure me a new buyer as quickly as possible. As they sale progressed, they also kept me informed and did the necessary to see the sale through. My rating is 4.5 stars because it took longer than expected, but as I can't give a half star rating, I am happy to round up. Thank you very much to Louise and her team at JF Sketty. As a first time buyer it should have been the most exciting time of my life! On the first viewing of the property, we were doubled booked meaning we had to view it with another family, this also meant the viewing was rushed. The second view of the same property, again, was rushed. When I put in the first offer (knowingly I was being a bit cheeky) but thought I must try, Maha laughed at the offer which is very unprofessional! Later on in conversations, Maha was very patronising, sarcastic and tried making me out to be a liar! The 3 months during the process of buying John Francis's service really made me feel stressed and ill as they never understood my my needs. They would phone everday sometimes at least 2-3times a day where it was becoming harrasment! All they wanted was their commission. However, Louise was fantastic, she was the only one who listened to me and understood my point of view. Louisd and Alice are the only reason I am giving 1 star otherwise it would be 0! I will never buy a house being sold by John Francis again and my advice to sellers would be not to use John Francis because as a buyer, it would put me off buying the house if it was being sold by them!...
