The photography service was good. The description of the property was lacking essential details when first advertised. The error was not corrected promptly when I requested it. No advice or tips was given beforehand for good marketing strategies. I do not feel compared to other agencies that my property was well pushed to potential buyers or their contact outreach.

Kudos to Laura and Tilly who have done a fantastic job handling our move. Communication was excellent, friendly and professional, and the process was very straightforward.
Also these guys are not like some lettings agents where they stop caring as soon as they have a signature - we had a couple of minor snags upon moving in, and Laura dealt with them very quickly and really showed she cared. Would recommend.

Please pass all my thanks onto Charlie. As a first time buyer, the slight lack of communication with my first helper at MANN put me slightly on edge. However, when Charlie was then assigned my case, he could not have made my experience more positive. He understood me as a person and helped make me feel completely at ease, and was the most friendly person, like my thousands of questions were never a burden. Lemme tell you about MY BOI, Tilly Jackman.
Picture the scene. Me and my partner are just looking for a wee place for us and the little one, alas, we're consistently discriminated against by letting agents in the area who refuse our situation (shout-out 2023 housing market, you really are something).
Upon a might weary I find a little place through mann letting swanley, first thing I do in the morning is call. The phone is picked up and I'm immediately greeted by Tilly, who is just the most professional but also caring person I've spoken to all week. She sets us up immediately with a viewing, and throughout the whole process is in our corner. Supporting us with the best way to communicate with our landlord and making sure we're not surprised by anything along the way.
We appreciate the kindness and support during the process of renting, and it was really what me and my partner needed during what was an quite a stressful and upsetting period (again, shout out to the 2023 renting market, you're something).
Thank you so much Mann Swanley, but foremost, thank you Tilly, we are so thankful that someone like you is working out there.

We found a little house through Mann Swanley and it was a wonderful experience.
Tilly was in our corner, and advocated for us really well when negotiating with the landlord. We felt looked after and this was what we needed after a few bad experiences with other letting agents.
We were even more surprised and delighted to receive a lovely welcome home package from them once we had moved in. It contained samples of cleaning supplies, and that really helped with those first few days of moving in when you don't have what you need yet. Was a lovely touch.
Would highly recommend Mann and have already done so to other friends.

Really disappointed with this estate agent, we offered on a house and after almost 2 weeks, we still have not received any communication to state if our offer has been submitted or rejected despite explicitly requesting updates on several occasions both on the phone and via email.
Wouldn’t go near them with a barge pole if i was selling a property and would approach with caution as a buyer.

Mann is a good agency to get you into the property but to maintain it they are terrible. Any repairs you need done will take months or maybe until your contract is up. You have to call them constantly and feel like you might as well work at mann as you are doing their job.
I would recommend landlords to choose another agency to maintain your building and the reputation from tenants about mann are not great due to feeling neglected.

If i had a chance, i would give none star, they only deserve zero! We had a viewing and we confirmed three times during the week and the property was in a village which you can only go by car or by bus but buses are only every hour. We do not live local. We came from a different place on a Saturday morning just to view the property. We arranged all bus times because if we miss one bus then have to wait one hour later. We got a call from Mann Swanley just one hour before that our viewing was cancelled as someone took the property on Thursday. They even did not let us know on Friday. This is very rude, unprofessional and unrespectful!! Do not trust them!

The experience from the beginning was quite good. Cole was very nice and helped advise me as I was new to renting which helped a lot. However the were some things I didn't quite enjoy such as specifically asking to offer a certain amount first and if rejected, offer a higher amount, but when I arrived it was already bumped to my maximum. On top of that we were incorrectly told that we'd receive the landlords contact details in the contract which was not true, Laura clarified over the phone and apologised for the mistake.
Replies to emails can be quite slow so you have to either chase up via email or phone. However when I did receive a reply, generally speaking it was quite good, especially from Laura. She called me a few times to keep me abreast of any updates which I appreciate her being proactive on that. Only issue is sometimes contact on questions can take almost a whole week before a reply is given if you don't manually chase.
There were also some miss-communication between staff on what papers I had completed and also the keys weren't cut on the day of moving in...
Overall, my experience is that most estate agents aren't that great, they look out for their own self interests, so despite the negatives and things could be better, I would say that they're still better than most! If I could give a more accurate rating, it would be like a 7 out of 10 or 3.5 out of 5 considering the negative points listed above in our experience.

Upsetting processes. Feel utterly ignored. Left unknowing to the status of my application despite several calls over several weeks. Left messages for Jane to call me back, but heard nothing. No response to email. No one returned my voicemail. A couple of people have "taken a message" to request a call back - nothing. Swanley branch closed on the odd occasion so have tried to get info from the Dartford branch. Been told by 3 people over the course of the last almost 3 weeks they would send over a form I needed to complete (having already passed through the registration, the checks with Torc24 etc, this I believe was to allocate a plot number) and still received nothing.
The process started on the 6th MAY. Almost 2 months ago, just to be told by someone in another branch this morning that all the plots are now taken. Nice of someone to reply to my requests and let me know and can't help but feel I have missed out on this property because of the sheer lack of communication from this branch (I would have given you 1 star but Rebecca was helpful when I spoke to her initially so she gets a star) otherwise this whole ordeal has caused nothing but stress from the start and set me back a large amount of time just wasted because no one has the decency to return a call.

Have just gone through a complete refurbishment and re-let of my property with the help of the team at Swanley Mann. As always their support and assistance has been invaluable in getting the work done and new tenants found, despite the limitations of the pandemic. I would not hesitate in recommending the Swanley team to any potential Landlords.
Having had a change of contact at Mann , I am now being looked after by Julie Button. The transition has been transparent to us, obviously the handover has been well managed by Mann. A recent flood issue with my property has been excellently handled by Julie. We are moving through the process of remediation, Julie is handling all the Insurance claim details and keeping me informed of progress. While it's never fun having to sort out problems, Julie has made the whole process as stress free as it could be.
As a first time landlord with no experience of the process, I was suitable impressed with the help and support I received from all at Mann in Swanley. Tim Knight was more than helpful guiding me through the process and all my dealings since (with Tim, Gary and Debbie) have led to a pain free "First Let". We had a very short timeline, were dealing with a guarantor, and were leasing sight unseen from the US. There were lots of emails, messages, phone calls, and a couple video calls. Emma and Alexia were patient, responsive, and and handled everything in order to get it all sorted out and get my daughter moved in to start her term at college. I know this had to be one of their more challenging move ins, but we were never made to feel like a problem. If my daughter stays in the UK after school and needs a new living situation, we will absolutely use them again.

I had such a fantastic experience dealing with Mann estate agents in Swanley during the purchase of my new house. Throughout the duration I was looked after by Jayne Dillon, who I can't say enough good things about.
Jayne went far above and beyond what she needed to do to help us complete our house purchase, and when things were looking difficult and the chain looked like it may collapse due to reasons outside of our control, Jayne played such a huge part in managing to keep things together, and ultimately keeping the chain alive.

The team at the Swanley branch were friendly and helpful to deal with in regards to viewings and getting the tenancy arranged. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. Nobody turned up at the arranged time to do the check in and inventory, I had to go to the agent to find out what was happening before anyone realised there wasnt anybody booked in to do the check in. Almost 1 week later and still no inventory check is done. The smoke alarms weren't working when we were let in,although they did go out immediately to buy replacements. There are no carbon dioxide detectors anywhere in the house even after us pointing this out several times. Previous tenants had pets,I was told that the carpets did not need cleaning (Altho in our contract we need to have it professionally cleaned before we vacate the property,so different rules apply to different tenants it seems) Luckily I had arranged to have a professional carpet cleaning company meet me at the property before we moved our stuff in as the stench of dog urine hit you as soon as you entered the property,there were several obvious stains on the carpets in most of the rooms, I couldn't stay in any room more than a few minutes before wanting to gag. After the carpets were cleaned (paid for by myself) I then spent another £75 on products to neutralise and mask the odour that still hung about. Also spent hours cleaning before I could unpack anything. All this after the maintenance department said nothing needed to be done at the property.Still waiting to hear if they will take any responsibility for the state the property was left in. Very disappointing experience so far.

Mann Countrywide have been outstanding throughout the whole journey of our recent purchase. Jayne at Swanley was great and effectively reduced the anxiety of our purchase and her recommendations ensured a seamless process. As recommended we used the Countrywide mortgage adviser, Tony helped ensure we got the most from our Mortgage and assisted us with everything from our mortgage in principle to insuring our home. We also used the countrywide solicitors who were extremely efficient, they were available over the weekend and even Christmas but this did mean we had to wait a lot for our sellers solicitor.
Personally I can’t fault Mann Countrywide and they will be my first choice in the future

Sold our flat with Mann & Co. Great service from the start with Kevin coming for the valuation months before when we considered selling and for a second valuation when we finally decided to. We had a nightmare with our buyers solicitors which delayed the sale of the flat but Chantelle at Mann was always on the phone and email & replied straight away and when she was not in she made sure there was someone in the office who knew about all the queries so things would get done. She went th extra mile kept the sale alive when it seemed that it was all going to fall apart at the last minute. Highly recommended.

My Experience with the letting team is real example why the market need to be more closely regulated! We viewed a property that was in a very bad state. We received assurances that the Landlord would be carrying out all the necessary work to get the property up to the required standard. Clearly the agent wasn't monitoring the works to see if it was safe for human habitation. I revisited the property again and found works incomplete and parts of the electricity circuit alive and accessible by hand. I made this clear to the agent who called the landlord to ask for the builders telephone number. They were told that the builder did not speak any english so there was no point having it. I said to the agent that if the builder had no english then how did he obtain his British electrical certification - fair question I thought? I was told that it was not there concern but could we pay the deposit and first months rent. Reluctantly we agreed. So day of move in arrives and the property is in the same state. We are now effectively homeless as the tenancy on our other property ends the next day and we have no money to extend. I told the agent we were not willing to sign a contract for a house in that state and that we required our money back straight away so we could sort accommodation out. I was given a flat no and told that it takes 5 -7 working days for them to process the payment. I explained that I had worked in accounts and that was not the case as it can be processed instantly. They then offered 2 to 3 working days. I said no and asked for their accounts telephone number. I spoke with accounts and explained the fact that we were now effectively homeless and without funds could not rent anywhere. We discussed the CHAPS payment system that would pay the money but the accountant said he would need permission of the branch manager. He came back to me a few moments later and said the branch manager would not authorise the payment to us. So off to seek legal advice I go! Under advice I wrote a letter to the branch explaining that if they did not return the money I would be taking legal proceedings against them. I hand delivered the letter to ensure it was not lost. I then went on to Social Media and vented my frustrations and feeling of helplessness that my family were about to be dumped onto the street even though I had funds to rent - although being held by Mann Swanley. I have contacted BBC Watchdog and will be hearing from their researcher soon.
The key thing is that this was all preventable. The warning markers were there and I had brought them to the agents attention and they had not bothered to investigate. The arrogance and dismissal of my request to have my money returned is beyond description. Clearly the only interest of the agent is their slice of the tenant cake.
My venting on Social Media has paid off and we will have money returned first thing in the morning. We can stay in the current property as long as the rent is paid tomorrow morning.
I will still be chasing the agent through the courts to recover the monies I have lost and expenses I have incurred not moving in on the agreed date. I hope that they don't turn up to court or pay the award. Then I will take great delight being at their office when the court bailiffs turn and remove furniture to be sold and watch the smug look of the agents face being wiped off.

We have had a very eventful year at our property, and were assigned a number of property managers in the beginning which was a bit of a headache, however when we were assigned Michelle Burchell as our property manager it was honestly the best thing for us.
Not only was she super efficient in sorting out our issues (unfortunately there were a lot, which was no ones fault tbh, just pure bad luck with a burst pipe! ) but she always went above and beyond for us, always with our best interest at heart. We can not be thankful enough for all the hard work she has put in for us. Super understanding, fair, kind, and literally just a lovely lady. Not to mention she managed to negotiate us being allowed pets which has completely made our entire life!
I would also like to mention Amy Cook who is also very efficient and extremely competent at her job, there had been a few things that was left to other people to deal with and when calling to follow it up and it hadn't been done Amy was straight on it no faffing, even though it wasn't her department.

Once I'd finally got everything in place and my property was marketed I was then referred to Amy who inundated me with viewing confirmations and after holding her first block viewing she had 5 offers for me from potential tenants. I had the pick of bunch. I was quite overwhelmed with the amount of interest just for my small 2 bed flat but she really did point me in the right direction and yet again the professionalism and knowledge Amy possessed was incredible. Amy certainly can do her job properly, better that most agents I've ever worked with. Once Amy had confirmed the offer I was then passed over to Sarah the branch administrator. I thought I was organised but Sarah's organisation was unreal. For a first time landlord I didn't have a clue about the legalities of things or even how the process of moving a tenant worked but Sarah kept me informed every step of the way. No question was to small or to silly. She assured me that this isn't a hobby being a landlord is a massive investment and something I should feel at ease with and that's exactly what she did. I can not sing the praises of all the team at Mann anymore. I will certainly be recommending them to anyone I know who is considering selling or renting. Great team, friendly, professional, nice people and welcoming in always. Thanks Gary, Amy and Sarah. Job well done!!!!!

These estate agents are useless. Even the smallest issue with your property will not get sorted for weeks as they use a property management company to hire contractors to do the work. When chasing, nobody has any clue of when the work will get done because they dont communicate with eachother and they just say it has been reported to the property management company, which still leaves me in the dark as to when I'm getting my shower fixed.
