I don't like Estate Agents.
Watch any TV game show where the host asks what you do for a living and if the answer is Estate Agent, the whole audience groans! They are a necessary evil if you are entering the housing market.
Did I mention I don't like Estate Agents?
Then you stumble upon Meyers.
Professional, efficient, friendly, helpful, FANTASTIC!
They take you by the hand and lead you through the buying and selling process as if you are their only client. You are advised with feedback within 24 hours, (even if there is no feedback to give!)
I have just reached the end of my journey through buying and selling a property and I wish I had more to buy and sell to maintain the 'Meyers Experience'.

I purchased a new-build flat at Reef Manor through Meyers Estate Agents with a 10-year warranty. The purchase process and communication during the transaction were smooth and professional.
After moving in I experienced an issue with a leaking window which is still not resolved. Based on my experience, buyers of new-build properties may wish to carry out their own due diligence on the developer or seller company and consider arranging an independent snagging inspection before completing.

Great company. Used a few over the years but now would only use Meyers.
Communication was great throughout the process, even for a discussion about the general frustrations of being in a chain.
Also, very effective at chasing during moments of date discussions & exchange days which helped for a smoother process. This stood out against comparative estate agents and we felt it makes a big difference.
Slightly higher fee’s but in our experience it has been worth it when dealing with them as both a buyer and seller at different times

I have been a tenant with Meyers for over a year now & from the start have been really impressed by the way they operate, their ethos & service! Customer experience & happiness is clearly important to them & they go all out to ensure everything is good. They are professional with obvious high standards. They will do anything required to provide a good standard of living. I have had a few maintenance issues in the apartment which they have gone above & beyond to resolve super fast, efficiently with minimum hassle. Once a tap jammed it was fixed within 50 minutes! George is fantastic very thorough & sorts everything out in such a way it’s seamless, stress free. I was new to the area but he has bespoke customer service so ensured the move was an easy transition & enjoyable experience. Kitty is very caring, professional & efficient. At the start of the probate process I had to get 4 different valuations. It was the data driven/factual approach that I liked initially, not just trying to sweet talk me into signing up, so i was happy to try on a sole agency agreement.
Rather than just relying on Rightmove to bring in viewings Meyers had lined up 4 or 5 viewings before the advert went live.
All through the process I have recieved regular and informed feedback and in a considerate way given the emotional situation with my fathers partner still in the house while viewings took place.

Think twice before using Meyers estate agent. What an unprofessional team who know nothing about the procedure of the process of sale/purchase. Not to mention a female member of their team absolutely rushing you through a 1st viewing (5 mins), stating she had another viewing to attend. The lies that I endured from the team that they would get back to me was frustrating to say the least. I was forced to constantly call them for an update of my offer and even a desperate call from my own agent, who asked them to call me still didnt make any difference. I did not find an acceptable timeframe of 2 wks to wait for a final outcome of an offer I made. The confusion of their wide guide price bracket on a property and different figures of what the Vendor wanted to achieve added to my confusion and frustration. To finalise, I did not appreciate a member of their team finally calling me with further negative news, only to find the Manager secretly listening in on the conversation (without my prior permission) and suddenly butting in on the conversation to the point whereby I questioned whether we had a cross line. The Manager tried to defend his colleague when I quite rightly accused him of not handling my offer in an acceptable timeframe. The Manager called me "a difficult person to deal with". Very unprofessional of him to accuse me of this.
I guess his analogy of my being "difficult" is my constant chasing for 2 wks to get a final answer to my offer?!! I also mentioned to the Manager that I heard on good authority of a member of his team physically shouting at one of their clients. His reply was simply a short hesitation and saying "don't believe everything you hear".
This post is not for me to gain any kind of sympathy - but rather to warn anyone who might have the unfortunate negative experience as I had to endure. Keep away from Meyers estate agent at all costs.

I recently decided to sell an investment property – a four-bedroom detached house – and began looking for a suitable estate agent to handle the sale. Initially, I approached what I assumed were the obvious choices: Richard Godsell and Slades. Given that the property was unoccupied and chain-free, I expected a high level of interest. While the sales team at Meyers was professional and efficient, I can’t say the same for their lettings side. Our experience with the lettings department was awful. They placed tenants in our property without even securing a signed tenancy agreement, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, they lied to us about the tenants' credentials, leaving us feeling misled, frustrated and at financial risk.
It was an incredibly disappointing experience and I am shocked at the level of incompetence of the person they choose to employ as a manager. I would strongly advise others to avoid their services - there are much better options available.

RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM MEYERS:
I appreciate you taking the time to write out a reply. However, it would have been much better if it was based on FACTUAL and TRUE events rather than ficticious lies!
No idea where you read that I specified that mould was previously not an issue at the property we were staying at! I cannot comment on the state of a property prior to my stay there and thus, you can make up anything relating to it! Moreover, after we reported the issue promptly, NO ONE advised us anything. Rather, I myself had been using household cleaners, bleach and other sprays to get rid of mold in accessible areas. The walls above the small shower cubicle could NOT be accessed by us, which is why we asked for Meyers to get someone in to fix the issue, which was NEVER done! As my review clearly states, we DID IN FACT make every effort to properly ventilate the area, including showering with ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS open and yet, because of the extractor fan being of poor quality and not being replaced by Meyers even after request, the problem worsened!
As for the payment of 400.50 which was asked to be taken out of the deposit MYSELF was due to the misleading email having been received by Meyers stating NO BALANCE WAS OWING (pictures attached as proof in original review). Kindly refrain from insinuating things that simply aren't true in hopes of making the company look "good".
I'd be more than happy to publicly share more proof of how the negligence on Meyers' part led to NHS documentation of health issues arising during our short stay at the let in Christchurch and had they taken efficient steps in resolving the reported issues, all such matters could have been prevented!
In terms of your insinuation yet again of "accommodating" us to move on a Sunday - in fact, we accommodated Meyers and moved on the Sunday when Meyers simply wasn't efficient enough to resolve all the necessary steps needed for the tenancy to begin on Sat as requested!
Irony is if Meyers had just acted in our best interest and provided us with the service they claim to offer their clients, we would be living right now in the property we wanted to let from the start; rather than Meyers trying to reduce the price of that property now in hopes of finding a tenant in today's market.

If I could leave 10 stars, I would! Best real estate agents I’ve ever worked with, by far. I have been trying to sell my apartment from abroad for over a year now. Worked with several agents before MEYERS and frankly, there’s no comparison. They’ve gone above and beyond to help us! Kept us informed every step of the way, gave us weekly market updates, negotiated like champs on our behalf, found solutions to issues that came up in the transaction… the list goes on.
I’m so grateful for the whole team. Leasing were also outstanding (we leased our flat for top dollar until just before the sale finalized). They were efficient, proactive and excellent at communicating. We finally were able to forget we had a flat in the UK, knowing that it was well looked after!

We completed today the 14th July. Meyers were fantastic right from the start and all the way through to completion. I haven’t sold a house in a very long time so was uncertain how to proceed so I decided to meet several different agents before settling on Meyers. From the moment that Fraser came to value our property and explain how he would market it, right through to Jamie telling us today that completion had been achieved, the experience was great. The way that Meyers communicates, by setting up a WhatsApp Group specifically for the sale, suited me completely and the fact that there always seemed to be someone in the Meyers Team available to answer questions was great. I never had to wait long for updates. At the front end of the process Fraser was great, he gave us a good valuation and managed our expectations well. Together with the rest of the Meyers team they were clearly very active in marketing the property and showing people around. It didn’t take long before we had a serious buyer. Once the offer had been accepted Fraser handed over to Jamie, who accompanied us on every step of the process right through to completion, Jamie was also fantastic. On the way through I also met “virtually” other members of the team notably Nicole and David as they contributed at important stages of the process. All in all, I am very impressed and thoroughly recommend Meyers to everyone. These are difficult time to shift property but Meyers did a fantastic job. My partner has been trying to sell a property with Meyers for some months now. Assured of an astonishingly high value compared to any other agent they were selected, they have refused to back down on their initial valuation yet after poor performance and arrogantly refer to themselves as the best estate agent repeatedly rather than focus on selling the property. Averaging less than one viewing a week for 3 months they offer no plan and are borderline rude with their responses to requests for an action plan. They will not advise reducing the price as this would dilute their high pricing across the board. Other estate agents have confirmed their strategy is this and they are a seller's agent but don't put the effort in to sell it or compromise by putting the property on at a reasonable value.
Stereotypical estate agent and there are many better and credible agents in Southbourne.
As someone looking to buy a new property shortly I will either be avoiding Meyers properties or offering about 10% less than advertised.

Egotistical and immature. I believe Meyers service is sufficient in a sellers’ market but they quickly get wrapped up in previous successes and do not react quickly enough to changing conditions.
We have only had 4 viewings in as many weeks and no offers. The property is overpriced. So hung up on their initial valuation they continue to insist that they are in the right instead of being conciliatory and pragmatic.
Three other respectable local agents value the property £50-£75k less than it is currently advertised for.

Meyers are brilliant from both perspectives. If you sell with them they are realistic and trustworthy - you will not get an unrealistic sales pitch. They will present your property perfectly, keep you up to date, rely feedback honestly and respectfully and keep in contact. They certainly earned their money.
If you are buying (which I experienced recently) you will find an authentic approach, you won't be talked at like some other agents, they won't bad mouth other agents (like some agents) and won't do the hard sale which can put people off (myself included). Unfortunately I've not bought properties based in the sales approach of some agents but would always look forward to a Mayers one as they genuinely care about the properties in their care and the owners! ??????

You could contact them any time and they would be right back with an answer. (And I wasn't frightened to ask stupid questions). Chris pulled out some magic stops to get the chain through the final bottleneck. They are a credit to their profession - and a good example to any of the service industry actually. Their charges may be slightly higher than some, but for us they were genuinely worth every penny, and you need to get this right when so much money is invested in buying/selling a house.

David Giles and his team had to work particularly hard to pull off the sale of our Bournemouth property. We were faced with difficult buyers, also represented by David, and less than competent solicitors who combined to prolong the sale into a three month emotional roller coaster ride. Only 4 days before completion, there was still doubt that the sale, and so also our purchase, would go ahead.
David told me that he had been so exhausted the weekend before exchange that he went to bed at 8.30.
I am convinced that without his considerable efforts and involvement throughout,
the chain would have collapsed.
