I have to say that in the 2years that I have been renting out my property with Karen's 5 star management I have had not a single drama. Having just returned from living overseas the pressure was on to get settled as quickly as possible, schools sorted, work on track and most importantly a comfy home for my daughters. Karen Cocker of Haxby branch got this crucial part sorted out with no stress on our behalf in less than a week.
We've been in for four weeks now and the service and support is still as evident and down to earth now as before signing the contract. This contrast shows greatly compared to my Mother's situation down in the Midlands where a lettings agent is more than happy to keep smiling while a tenant in their mid-70's is taking cold showers, dealing with leaks and faulty heating and threatened with charges if they don't take all possible actions before the agency gets involved.
Thank you again Karen, and Reeds Rains Haxby for keeping everything smooth and calm. Complaints?.... just the one where the parking in Haxby is so busy I have to walk past the bakery to get to the agency and the petty cash pocket takes a hit.

Had to ask for the contract. Contract was not explained. Rubbish write up on property (asked twice to mention the selling points of the property, yet only got done after questionnaire) and rubbish photos, yet they are meant to done by a professional photographer. Filled out the questionnaire on how we found your service and company. You don't seem to like what we wrote. Then got told by the branch manager 'Even if we part company and I don't sell your Father's, my branch will survive'. 1 star seems a bit good for the service. Would not recommend you.

When the email came back to me the email was rude and from request they never answered any of my questions on a property that intrested, also I want view tomorrow which emailed on regards on Monday.
I'm cash buyer but if that's there way they do business not communicating with potential buyers, its at off putting. I am not recommend them as lack communication either be email, phone as left my email to.

I have awarded at least one star because at the end of the day they sold my property for a good price. However 5 months from selling the property I am still yet to receive any contact from them to say ‘thank you for your business’ or ‘I hope you are settled in your new place’. This is a very money hungry estate agent, who push you into making rash decisions. They got a grump on a few times when I declined less than asking price offers which ment creating more work for them. The limited contact was pushy and rude at times. In the end I spoke with my buyer through email as he was also receiving limited or no contact from the estate agent. On the day of completion I had to meet the buyer stood outside their shop in Haxby and give him the keys myself through lack of organisation.
If you want an estate agent to sell your property, by all means use these. If you want an estate agent to sell your property, offer great customer service and make house buying and selling as stress free as possible - go elsewhere.
