James visited us at the house initially and was very easy to talk to. He answered all our questions and gave us all the information we needed to make decisions that we were comfortable with on the asking price and to go ahead with Reeds Rains. We felt well-advised and supported throughout the journey and honestly believe that the team at Reeds Rains got the best possible outcome for us as a family. It really couldn't have gone any better. James organised sales materials that we were very happy with and Georgia also maintained excellent regular contact with us during the whole process. We particularly appreciated how well we were advised once offers started to come in and the updates throughout the sale process. Georgia and James clearly kept up-to-date with what was happening. Not only did we sell the house quickly, but it also went through much quicker than we were expecting and we were very happy with the sale price. Looking to sell a house in Adlington. Reeds Rains in Wilmslow contacted me to say they had handed the request to Macclesfield office as the property was in their jurisdiction & that they would contact me ... which they haven't. Gone with Bridgfords & Gascoigne Halman now. Gave 2 stars as the chap at Wilmslow was switched on, amiable & professional. Sadly that was where the professionalism ended. I knew I had sent my email request in error to Wilmslow not Macclesfield branch. However Wilmslow branch phoned me to explain this & said that they would forward my email to Macclesfield who would contact me within 24 hours. I wrote my review having given 60 hours waiting for a reply, but to no avail. I can understand why James feels aggrieved at receiving a 2 star rating when there was no direct contact between RR & myself, but this is the main reason I gave 2 stars as I feel there should have been contact. I can confirm that James did try to contact me (once the negative review was posted) but I was busy on Friday catching up with things. I wish James a happy holiday & look forward to speaking with him upon his return. It is for the above reasons I gave 2 stars & whereas James obviously feels this is unfair, I will leave it for you to judge.... Read more

I’m usually quite critical, and don’t normally write reviews – but I feel compelled to on this occasion, as I feel Mathew and his lettings team at Reeds Rains in Macclesfield have done an excellent job in letting out my flat. Contact has been great, they call when they say they will, and have been prompt in replying to my messages. I also appreciate Mathew’s no-nonsense approach – he’s been direct and ‘told me like it is’…which I much prefer to having things sugar-coated. It’s not just Mathew - I’ve had a very positive experience with the whole rental team in Macclesfield. It was Cherry who agreed the let on the flat – this was on the first viewing, and within a couple of weeks of it going onto the market. And Sue kept regular contact with me on the admin side – again being direct, and pushing me along to get my tasks completed in time – I felt that those ‘pushes’ were definitely needed. A very difficult move that took 7 months to complete but RR Macclesfield managed to cope with all the difficulties. Sophie was very helpful as was Sue later on. Online communications was the biggest problem in that information is only as good as the data provided. Firstly, the Sellers and Buyers file were not kept up to date. Secondly, the Conveyancing File was not kept up to date either. Thirdly, the link from the RR website to the Conveyancing File was removed without notification and so it was difficult to find out the progress of the sale and purchase. All these meant that Sue was inundated with phone calls for progress reports. However she coped admirably with my constant calls - maybe not necessary if the appropriate files had been updated.
