We chose to go with Winkworth because of Henry's knowledge of the £1m+ market in Farnham and his confidence that he could achieve the full asking price. We certainly didn't regret the decision and in fact sold our property prior to the wider launch on Rightmove (and for a higher price than that proposed by another premium national estate agent). Throughout the process Henry kept the momentum at every obstacle and retained his positive and enthusiastic outlook. My father went into care in early 2020 and it soon became apparent that we were going to have to rent his house out to help pay the fees.
I set about contacting a number of estate agents in Farnham and I'm so thankful that one of them was Winkworth. Stephen, the Managing Director, met me at my dad's house and within minutes of talking to him I felt a genuine empathy for my situation and an overriding feeling that I could trust Stephen and his team. The initial guidance he gave me was encouraging, reassuring and not overwhelming at all, just what I needed at that time. The decision of which agency to go for was very clear to me.
I was then introduced to Annabel, the Lettings Director, and she could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable or supportive. By the time the house was ready for rental, Annabel had already found me my first tenants. Her guidance throughout gave me a huge amount of reassurance as well as maximising the possible income from the property.
My day to day contact was Sherry the Property Manager. She has been my rock throughout the whole renting process, nothing was too much trouble and she made the whole process for the three plus years we rented the property very very simple indeed. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge and a very positive attitude. At a very difficult time for me, she was always there to help and take away any stress. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares quite so much.
With my father sadly passing away and the tenants giving notice for early this spring we decided to sell the property. I was then introduced to the next amazing member of the Winkworth team, Henry, the Sales Director. Henry, alongside Chelsea, has been brilliant and has done an amazing job of helping us to market and very quickly sell my father's house for what we feel is a very fair price. Working with Henry has been very easy indeed. He is the consummate professional, personable, very proactive and above all trustworthy.
I can't thank or praise the people mentioned above (and everybody else at Winkworth that I may have missed) enough for their professional, empathetic and unwavering support. I will forever be grateful to Stephen and his wonderful team at Winkworth. Thank you.

Before appointing Winkworths as our Property Manager for our University HMO, I did extensive online research of reviews of the Estate Agents in Farnham. My findings were that Winkworths, Farnham scored consistently highly and received positive feedback from both their Client Landlords and their Tenants. At the time of completing my research, Winkworths was the ONLY Estate Agent to receive positive and favourable feedback from Tenants.
This closed our decision and we approached Winkworths to take on the Property for us. Our specific HMO business model has a service delivery to ensure that our Tenants are happy/satisfied with their accommodation throughout the term of their Tenancy. We have a financial year on year investment into the Property together with a quick service delivery response to any remedial works that may be required at the Property.
To deliver this successfully, you need to have a relationship with an Estate Agent that is able to meet those quick response requirements, Winkworths totally appreciated our business model from the outset and the response required to our and our Tenants needs, they are business focussed as to costings and potential quality service contractors, they are a safe pair of hands particularly, as we do not live locally. They are a joy to deal with and we are now entering our fourth successful year in our relationship with them.
To sum up, they are the John Lewis of Property Management with a fair and reasonable price tag attached. They make being a Landlord, which has the potential of being an onerous task, joyful!
Look no further, no more research required, the Lettings Team @ Winkworths, Farnham have it all, give them a call and be joyful about being a Landlord in Farnham.

It was the height of the pandemic and suitable precautions were taken to make everyone feel safe. At the next stage Jeanette was really proactive and helpful when it came to progressing our purchase. I originally instructed another estate agent to sell my house. After 4 weeks of
marketing they told me that I had to reduce my Guide Price to achieve a sale. After a further 4 weeks they said that if I did not reduce my Guide Price, then they would take my property off the internet! I refused, so they withdrew my property! Once their contract had finished, I instructed Winkworth to sell my home at the original Guide Price of £375,000. Winkworth agreed a sale to one of their London buyers within one week of marketing at the Guide Price! Clearly I have learnt that if one falls for the high pressure tactics of some firms, once they have you under contract, they will turn those high pressure tactics against you…..

Pretty dreadful really. Next to no communication skills, office often on answerphone for the complete day, complete inability to provide a basic service and the advice that was given could not have been more flawed if they had tried . . . . AND . . . I was the PURCHASER !!! How on earth this deal came to it's conclusion was a small miracle and solely down to the two parties concerned. The staff should be ashamed of themselves.

You’ve tried the rest now try the best, never in my opinion can there be a truer statement, especially in the case of Stephen and the team at Winkworth’s Estate Agents of Farnham.
Trust me, I know from personal experience of being messed around and misled by several (4) other local estate agents, before finally having the good fortune of finding Winkworth’s.
From the very outset Stephen has been very professional and approachable, not to mention open and honest. After visiting the property Stephen produced a very thorough market appraisal guide together with a marketing strategy proposal. These documents very clearly highlighted precisely where, in his expert opinion, the property sat within the local market.
By accepting and following Stephen’s advice the property was duly placed on the market, he and his fantastic team set about contacting carefully vetted and matched buyers. Very quickly following early viewings, Stephen secured us a buyer. He then diligently tracked and progressed each and every step of the entire sales process, always keeping me fully updated and appraised.

Following the passing of my mother, as executor of her estate, I had to liquidate her assets, including the family home. I met with a number of local Farnham estate agents, & decided to use Stephen Tarrant & his team at Winkworths. Stephen's sympathetic demeanour, his level of courtesy, & his undoubted knowledge of the Farnham marketplace made my decision a fairly easy one.
But more than this: he was very straightforward, was honest in the extreme regarding my options, & quoted a likely sale price that I felt was fair & achieveable, as opposed to others who quoted higher -& in my opinion unachievable - prices (prices that I felt should have remained in a parallel universe!). In addition he was certain that they could complete the sale quickly - which they did, achieving a very good result for my mum's estate.
When he was not available, his team were always on-call, & able to handle all my queries, & some issues which arose.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Stephen & his team most highly.

Winkworth clearly understood both our home and our needs and brought us a buyer.
