As a first time seller I was new to the process of putting a property on the market. Having gone from door to door to the numerous estate agents in Highgate Village I was about to give up hope of finding one that I wished to deal with. My last port of call was Winkworths. I sold my Highgate (London) property through Winkworth, with whom I had also previously rented the same property. We were nervous about selling given the difficult economic period and downturn in UK sales market. However the manager for the Winkworth's Highgate office, James Wilkinson, handled the sale to a high standard of professionalism throughout and demonstrated a spot-on understanding of the market conditions. He suggested the ideal sale price in the current market and estimated the time needed to complete. Both proved accurate: a buyer was found within less than 1 month and the property sold at asking price. James' proactive follow-up with the buyer and management of the exit of the tenants was very helpful in steering the sale to conclusion on time without hiccups. He responded to emails promptly and was available to speak whenever needed. Overall, an agent with integrity and knowledgeable experience of the market. Highly recommended.

I have had a relationship with the team at Winkworth Highgate for over 10 years now. This has included 2 sales as well as a period of managed letting. I have found them to be dedicated, courteous, personable and easy to reach. But more so, on several occasions I have experienced them going the extra mile, which is immensely supportive when one is dealing with properties whilst living so far away. Recent economic and market conditions have ratcheted up the pressure in the housing sector, putting a lot of strain on both buyers and sellers. Our situation was complicated by the fact that our mortgage took over 12 weeks to be confirmed and this had the potential to create a lot of uncertainty in ours and the seller's mind.
