My mum enquired multiple times about a property being marketed by Balgores in Chelmsford and repeatedly tried to arrange a viewing. On several occasions, we were told that the property had already been sold and that viewings were no longer available.
However, despite being told this, the property continued to appear on major property websites for weeks afterwards. More recently, we even received an automated email notification advising that the asking price had been reduced from £450,000 to £425,000, which suggests the property remained on the market the entire time.
This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Had we been told that an offer had been accepted or that the property was still available but subject to negotiations, we would have understood. Instead, we were repeatedly informed that it had been sold, which appears inconsistent with the fact that it remained advertised and has since had a price reduction.
My mother was a genuine buyer with the financial means to proceed and made multiple enquiries, yet she was never given a fair opportunity to view the property. The lack of clear and accurate communication left us feeling dismissed and undervalued as prospective purchasers.
Based on our experience, customer service and communication fell well below the standard we would expect from a professional estate agent.... Read more
