I only give 1* as you can't give 0*. I strongly recommend to avoid this place. We recently bought a house with them and it was such as bad and stressful experience from the very beginning.
As we have gift money for deposit from our parents that live outside the UK, they had to do International transfer which took a few days (booking appointment etc). We informed agency when they will receive deposit confirmation and they still chase us every day and remind that if they won't receive it someone can bit our offer.
Before we put our offer we have been told there is no chain but after few weeks when we were ready for completion date we had info that "chain above their chain is not ready yet" so we had to wait additional 5 weeks.
To speak with person who was dealing with our purchase we had to phone the office and person was never available and our messages was never passed to her.
Before signing the contract we wanted to double check the house and first we had to give them reasons why we want to double visit and then our appointments has been cancelled 3 times at the visit date when we already booked time off at work.
After sale I send few emails and never received any replies. Very unprofessional and poor service.
I just really hope to not deal with them never again.

Worked with Peter Alan to sell my property, Thai Trezise was friendly, knowledgeable, available and took the time to understand what we were trying to do. He kept me updated throughout the process and got us to the right outcome. Highly recommend Thai, my go to guy now for all things property.
Also need to mention Sarah Bunting who made sure we got the move completed, she worked tirelessly and drove all parties forward - exemplary service and highly recommended.

Really friendly and helpful staff,
Joseph showed me around and answered any questions that I had about the property.
On this occasion the house , while in a nice area, was a little too small for my needs.
I will stay in touch with Joseph and the Caerphilly branch of Peter Alan and see what properties become available.

I found Peter Alan quite unpleasant to deal with. Despite clearly stating multiple times that we were happy with our current mortgage broker, they repeatedly pressured us to arrange a meeting with theirs. This led to excessive calls—sometimes three or four times a day—which quickly became frustrating.
Additionally, when we identified another property of interest, it was extremely difficult to get through to them. We had to call several times, and on some occasions, it felt as though calls were being ignored or even deliberately disconnected.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.

When you tell any other estate agent that you are no longer looking for a property, they seem to understand. For some reason after repeatedly telling Peter Alan I'm not longer interested, they keep bombarding you with emails and calls.

I have been extremely pleased with the service I have received from all the staff at the Mansel Street Office. Melissa, Molly and Brian have all been helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and generally a joy to work with. Highly recommend.

TLDR: Sold property during tenancy, told I'd be unaffected before being told I had 2 days to move out, demanding double rent payment, refusal to refund deposit & rent overpayment on a property they no longer own. Happy to take action when a rent layment is 2 days 'late' (even if the payment isn't a valid one) but outright reject liability categorically when it comes to refunding tenants.
Thieves and con-artists.
Moved in end of March 2021, landlord sold the property during my tenancy and I was told it'd make no difference to me (sold with tennant)
2 days before the sale was final I am visited by the new landlord to clarify that I'd be moving out October 15th (this was on October 13th) as Peter Alan informed him I was leaving. No conversation had been had with me.
Was made to sign a new contract, find a new deposit and rent half way through the month and was told my previous deposit and rent overpayment will be refunded.
Instead, Peter Alan attempted to charge me rent on the 1st of November (on a property they no longer managed and insisted I was moving out), then issued me with late payment warnings and potential action.
Since then I have been fighting to get my refund back. I have had my deposit (as its held seperately) but I am still fighting to get my refund back. Peter Alan insist they are not liable to repay my refund even though my statements show that my payments were sent to Peter Alan.
I've had nothing but excuses, deceit and unproffesionalism from Peter Alan, particularly Kim Wilkes whom seems to spend the vast majority of her time either never in the office and therefore never working, or just blatantly ignoring emails from me on the matter.
Legal actions have already begun though given how this will now take time, I'd rather for-warn potential tenants ahead of time! Given the choice between going with Peter Alan again or being homeless, I'll be finding myself a nice box

Sarah has been absolutely amazing throughout our rental process.
The property is an older building and had a few known issues that needed to be resolved before we could apply, and she kept us updated every step of the way. Even though the work took a longer than expected, she made the whole experience smooth by clearly explaining what was happening and what to expect next. Her communication and professionalism has been outstanding.
