2nd May 2023 (1 year ago)Very pleasant, friendly and well presented and punctual agents but lacked experience which I felt contributed to poor marketing and incorrect information being passed on to prospective buyers. Communication could also have been better.

We received regular updates and they chased others in the chain promptly to make sure no delays. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.

The day before our move-in, our original landlord unexpectedly withdrew from the agreement, leaving us in a difficult spot. The team at Hamptons went above and beyond to secure us an alternative flat quickly and seamlessly. Their professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for our situation made all the difference, and we were able to move with minimal disruption. If you're looking for a team that truly puts their clients first, we highly recommend Hamptons in Bath. We’re very grateful for their hard work and couldn’t have asked for a better outcome - our new flat is amazing!

29th Nov 2022 (2 years ago)Experience was very good with the offer received £20k (yes, £20k) above advertised price. I had 3 agents value property and all 3 were within £5k of each other. Back up team were great and I was kept informed of viewings at all times. Couldn't ask for any more. Property went to best offers after 7 views in under a week.

Their communication was excellent and we felt confident they had our best interests in mind throughout. Viewings were well organised and professionally executed. I’d happily recommend the team for the rental or sale of your home.
30th Oct 2024 (11 weeks ago)We dealt with Justin and his team between May and October this year when we were selling our house in Combe Down, whilst living near Barnstaple. During this time we found them to be invariably friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, courteous, readily contactable - i.e. they did not hide behind telephone answering machines or automatic email replies, which can be so frustrating, as well as being honest and trustworthy. We would recommend them.

Ben took fabulous pictures of our house and garden, the 360° Giraffe system enabled every angle of the rooms to be viewed. Nikki was so warm and generous with her time, going above and beyond to help due to our health problems. She is very knowledgeable about the housing market. Thanks so much both of you.
18th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)All of the Lettings staff at Martin & Co Bath have been extremely friendly and helpful throughout our time renting a property through them. Everything was done very efficiently and transparently and there was always someone on the end of the phone to answer any queries. I'd like in particular to mention Gaye, Kate and Caroline. I would highly recommend the team in Bath and would definitely rent again through Martin & Co. if needed.
4th Jan 2025 (9 days ago)I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience selling my house than the one I had with Paul from Moveli. As someone who himself lives nearby, he deeply understood the local market and how best to communicate the most salable features of the property to potential bodies. I really appreciated his friendly, down-to-earth approach and constant availability, even on the weekends. Being able to rely his advice and expertise from start to finish made the whole process incredibly smooth. In the end, he was able to negotiate an offer that was significantly over the asking price. I would highly recommend him as the premier estate agents in the ‘between the commons’ area.

His agency stands out from the rest due to his highly personal service; we spoke with or saw only him so felt super confident he was fully engaged and invested in our sale at all times. His comms were also excellent, as were his problem-solving skills and professional partners. The photography was outstanding, with much thought taken in both the planning and execution. Highly recommended!

Moving is a really stressful and challenging time, but Sarah and Carey remained positive and professional throughout every step of the way. They have always been whole heartedly honest with us, and have showed genuine care and compassion in the entire process. When we move again, we will be using them, no question. They are a true representation of everything you could want from an agent. Thank you so much.

18th Mar 2024 (9 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
15th Dec 2021 (3 years ago)Tenants and landlords look no further. You will not find greater professionalism, swift communication, industry experience and teamwork anywhere in Bath. Nicola Wilkes (Lettings) and Sharon Clesham (Sales) run a very slick operation and whatever your needs (a new home to rent or letting a new or existing rental property) they will guide you through the process to complete satisfaction. I say this having been a landlord with them for many years and recently been introduced (by Nicola) to another investment opportunity. I am nothing short of amazed by the sleek communication between Sales and Lettings and myself (these ladies know more about property than anyone you’ll meet in Bath and they and their teams are a real pleasure to work with). What I want out of rental property is a great investment but ONLY if my tenants are happy. I need them well looked after and at the top of my agent’s priority list. With the Apartment Company tenants are the priority. And yet this outstanding company deliver more financially to me than any other agent we’ve used in Bath. If you don’t make money, they don’t make money so its a win-win. If you are a first-time landlord and considering a move to renting in Bath (but not sure the best way to go about this), talk to Nicola and Sharon. You won’t regret it. If I was buying a new home for myself, Sharon is the first person I’d call. One final thing…..I noticed a comment that they didn’t always call back if you made an enquiry. Well, if you are Bath’s premier property agency and everyone wants to talk to you, well, yes, you may have to wait a day or so for a reply to a speculative call. No-one wants a company whose sitting about waiting for the phone to ring, do they?! You want an agent whose out there keeping it together for people like me, like my tenants (at the height of a pandemic with vastly reduced staff). Always an impeccable service that goes beyond your expectations. Thank you Sharon and Nicola and everyone at The Apartment Company.

From the very first house viewing, Jess was incredibly attentive and provided detailed information about the property. While treating all potential tenants fairly, she also made sure to give the landlord accurate feedback, which ultimately led to me being the lucky one to rent the home I loved. Jess’s hard work didn’t stop there—she was equally efficient when it came to finalizing the contract and arranging for an electrician to inspect the house. Every interaction, whether via email or phone, was warm and genuine. I truly felt that Jess cared and wanted to help. Thank you, Jess, for everything! I wish you happiness every day! :)

The welcome pack I received when I moved in was unexpected but a really pleasant surprise, the move in and out was an uncomplicated process and would definitely use Romans in Swindon again if I ever move back there, I highly recommend them.

Jules negotiated an unexpectedly good sale price for my house and, with the additional support of Nicola at the Whitfields office to progress the sale, really helped keep everything on track. Both buyer and seller are treated with respect and honesty and there is regular communication with both parties right through to completion.
