28th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)I rented a property through these agents on a Management service to the hideous landlord who gained access into the property without my written permission and authorisation being a paying tenant. Their office is full of women who are two-faced and talk about members of the public behind their back.

20th Nov 2023 (24 weeks ago)Tom Smaley runs the Exmouth branch of Smarts and he is unusual in his approach, and that is a very, very good thing. He provides a more personal service to fewer sellers at a time as you only deal with him. And that makes communication very clear. So absolutely clear but non pressurising communication. He provides regular updates, and a calm un-pushy way of helping sellers in what is currently a difficult market. He conducts every viewing himself. He clearly has an excellent knowledge of the area and I’m extremely happy I have chose Smarts Exmouth. It’s a very different model of estate agents and I like it.

22nd Jan 2021 (3 years ago)Southgate originally acted as letting agents for our property - they are efficient, reliable and nothing was too much trouble. They have now acted as selling agents, this took a bit longer than anticipated but Southgate agents have kept us informed and been helpful during the whole process.
26th May 2022 (1 year ago)The unique service offered by Griffin has enabled me to complete a DIY sale of my home on the Internet using national property sale platforms as if I was the website. I listed my property at 8am and by 9.30am on the same day I was receiving emails from potential purchaser's. I well know the power of the Internet, but even I was surprised by the speed of it all. The Griffin team have the power to listen and assist you, I wish to thank the person at Griffin who originated this professional service and his team for doing a great job. If I ever need to sell a home in future I will immediately use the Griffin service and have been recommending them to family and friends. Thank you.

13th May 2022 (1 year ago)I first met Brett a couple of years ago when looking into the student market. I didn't do anything at that time. It was a pleasure to meet Brett again in July 2021 when viewing another property, and subsequently other properties. Brett is generous with his time, doesn't rush you, and tells you the facts as he sees them. I feel he gives his views and advice in a very straightforward manner which is what you want as a buyer or a seller. I would have no hesitation in recommending Brett for his professionalism, friendliness and someone to go to for advice. I have now met the Lettings side of Star and found them extremely helpful as well.
6th Nov 2021 (2 years ago)Really rude agent with no communication skills, do not bother! My son and his friends were looking for accommodation in Exeter. This agent doesn’t deserve anyone’s custom. Can’t even reply politely to emails and calls to make an appointment. Avoid. Whether you’re a landlord or tenant there are professional agents and companies in Exeter, go to them instead.
22nd Mar 2023 (1 year ago)I had a very, very disappointing experience with Star Lettings back in the summer of 2021 – I'd been served with a section 21”no fault eviction” due to an issue with mold in the bathroom floor (which it transpired was caused by a “long term leak under the bath”) I still owe money to southwest water because of this. I'd reported the issue with the moldy bathroom floor to Star Lettings some two years previously. This notice to vacate was on hold throughout lock down due to Government legislation but didn't do much for my peace of mind. In my experience it seemed that the landlord always came first and I lost half my deposit even when I'd cleaned the house as requested though it was difficult given the underlying mold issue that should have been addressed when I raised two years previously. I was also told that the flat would be completely renovated as the landlord planned to turn the place into an AirB&B (which I believe has happened) so I left the place completely empty with a clean up as best as I could (thinking I wouldn't overly invest too much time in it, given the renovation would be going ahead anyway) After moving I contacted Star Lettings about my deposit but Star Lettings tried to withhold my entire deposit, in the end I managed to get back half of this, but not without a struggle. I needed the money as it certainly wasn't easy finding a new flat immediately post lock down

23rd Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Angela was very relaxed through the entire letting process in a refreshing down to earth manner on a unit I rented. Deposit returned in full and on time with no drama. If all agents were like her it would make life much less stressful. 100% recommended.

I wanted to schedule a viewing for the week but only one person was able to show the house who wasn't available at the time we requested. I've made 3 attempts to now contact this individual and they have still not replied or returned my phonecall. Disgusting service. Renting property shouldn't be this hard.
15th Apr 2024 (22 days ago)We could not recommend anyone else to sell our property and to purchase a new property from. After getting quotes and meeting different people from various estate agents we had no doubt in choosing Right at Home. My partner dealt with it mostly due to the nature of my work. However, from his feedback they were welcoming, relaxed, and they did not feel like your “typical sales people” they were not pushy compared to others. Once our property was put up for sale it took under a month to sale bearing in mind Christmas period was included within this time. Right at Home had mortgage advisors and solicitors that they recommended which we used and had no problems. This shows that Right at Home have the passion and rapport with what they do. We viewed a property that Right at Home were selling and Sarah was so friendly, knowledgeable about the property and was able to answer questions without hesitation. We even had a few giggles including me asking her not to use her skills with other viewers viewing the house, due to us falling in love with the property, and needed a mortgage in principle before putting an offer down. (We will never know if she used her selling skills on further viewings on the property as we managed to purchase the house that we wanted haha). Anyway, during the process of selling and buying the properties the ladies were with us every step making sure things were on track and everyone who were involved were all going in the same direction. They contacted solicitors to see where the process was at and kept us updated. Any questions or help that may have been needed were met. Emails and contact were answered within the same day and mostly within the same hour of sending an email. This allowed us to feel relaxed and knowing their fast response meant that they were on the ball with the process which made us confident with each step. The house sell and the one we purchased went very smoothly and Jo met us with our key, a welcome box, and a card. This was just a lovely little touch to our new adventure. The after care has been just as great in respect of making sure post does not get missed and getting it to previous owners. Thank you so much to all who dealt with us in selling and purchasing our perfect property to make new memories in. Incredible customer service, excellent people skills, amazing communication, great experience from start to finish. Definitely recommend to use for selling and purchasing a property. We could not be happier with the services that were provided from Right at Home. Thank you again, Sam and Roxy.
