25th May 2023 (1 year ago)Arrogance at the highest level! Was informed 24 hrs prior that my valuation had to be moved as a staff meeting was more important. Already booked the day off so fuming at the complete dis regard of this outfit. Completely unprofessional and extremely arrogant in my opinion!!!! Lesson learned!!!
1st Oct 2024 (14 days ago)Karan was very disrespectful and unprofessional bringing up her leak in the ceiling. I did not get my desired idealistic property. Due to her being a Karan. Black hearted like the rest of them… Avoid using this letting agency at all measures. I’m certain if I had gone with any other letting agency they would have got me in the property. I felt belittled and threatened by her attitude towards me & I’m convinced that she didn’t try her best to explain my savings to the landlord or my start date for my job. I am now left homeless. When I start work in 2 weeks time. With no place to keep my bike. Stop removing my review. As I have been nothing but factual and honest about my experience.

Katie has been supportive and compassionate in times of needing repairs or help. Katie has excellent communication skills, professionalism, very responsive and thoughtful. Repairs have been completed swiftly. Very happy :-)

What stands out above other estate agents I have known in the past is their great communication. From feedback about every property viewing, weekly updates and recommendations to then the invaluable community between the buyer, their solicitor and mine until the sale was complete. The highest praise goes to Thomas and Ben and their great professionalism throughout. Thank you

14th Aug 2023 (1 year ago)The person who valued our house and did the sales pitch to us was great, but the person who actually dealt with our sale was terrible. She added no value to the whole process, never answered the phone or called us back, sent really unhelpful emails with no clear actions or asks in there and provided no effort to mediate our chain and keep all parties happy. It felt like she ended up working for our buyer rather than us who were her clients. She also seemed to shy away from difficult news and did everything over email rather than calling and helping to get people on side. I would not recommend. Our friends had a similar experience so this is not an isolated incident.

5th Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)Letting my house for the first time was something I approached with trepidation. However Dan at Blue Residential soon put me at ease. Within a few days of putting the house on the market suitable tenants were found and soon after all references were in. It took less than 4 weeks from Dan viewing the house to the tenants moving in. Dan made sure the house was tenant ready helping me every step of the way and replying to my emails almost immediately day or night. Truly outstanding service. Thank you!!

Always called us back and responded to any correspondence promptly. Jess was kind and very approachable at all times and went above and beyond. A real asset to Carter Jonas. We are delighted with our new home Bedale and can’t thank Jess and the staff at Carter Jonas enough ????

19th Jan 2022 (2 years ago)Just completed on a property purchase in Ilkley and can’t thank Dale Edison enough for their determination to get the sale over the line. My case was long and complicated mostly due to my own circumstances but Molly was always so patient, considerate and efficient in moving us forward with each step and keeping everyone updated. At some point she was the only person who was responding to my emails and kept me in the loop with what was happening during the long and quite daunting process. Really felt very well cared for through the process and was nice to have a thoughtful and reassuring person on the other side to guide me. Huge thanks Molly and all.

From start to finish, Nev was on hand to keep us up to date with developments and was always willing to answer any questions you may have. He explained everything in great detail. Nev set out realistic expectations instead of setting out unrealistic targets. We believe had we not had Nev dealing with our transaction, we wouldn't have got the move we wanted. Should we move in the future, we wouldn't consider anybody else, only Ewe Move & Nev. Thanks again Nev

31st Jul 2024 (11 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

She handled everything, even down to perfecting photos to showcase the properties at their best. Her advice and guidance throughout were invaluable. An absolute credit to her profession – thank you, Katie, for all your hard work!
5th Jul 2024 (15 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!

Janet was always happy to answer questions at any point and was often more helpful that who we had used to sell our property. I would definitely use the home movement for any selling/buying in the future. A great company with a personal feel.
2nd Sep 2024 (6 weeks ago)We had marketed our property through a couple of different agencies over a period of about 24 months prior to switching over to Shankland Baraclough, who went above and beyond to help us move. The team were highly professional from start to completion. Any issues which arose were dealt with promptly and efficiently. I highly recommend them.
