We have viewed several properties with different Estate Agents recently and Sean was a breeze to deal with, by far the most positive experience. He was very understanding of our position, attentive, easy to communicate with and answered all the questions we had. Thank you for your help, we were very impressed and hope to work with Sean again in the future.

We were always kept informed of appointments, active in sending the feedback and offers through , and there was always good communication between all members of the staff and ourselves. The staff went above and beyond to make the selling process as smooth as possible for us as the clients. I highly recommend them.

I dealt mainly with Chloe and she was brilliant at communicating throughout the whole process, always returning calls or emails promptly and giving regularupdates. She actually saved me a big delay, due to my surveyors, by noticing they hadn't been in touch with the vendor after they told we they would be. Overall I would highly recommend.
16th Jun 2025 (4 weeks ago)Contacted this branch recently as we are relocating from the Manchester area. Seemed really helpful at first, took our details and then nothing.... Poor service, promised to be emailed and called back and you never hear back from anyone. Spent over a week with this branch trying to actually get somewhere, eventually gave up. Wouldn't recommend.

2nd Jul 2025 (15 days ago)Avoid this agency at all costs. This has been the most frustrating, stressful, and infuriating experience I’ve ever had with a letting agency. From the start, their behaviour was riddled with red flags. They blatantly misrepresented the flat in their listing outdated photos, incorrect details, and when I viewed the place, it was in nowhere near the condition advertised. Despite raising concerns, they were dismissive, patronizing, and completely unhelpful. Once I moved in, the real nightmare began. Maintenance issues went ignored for weeks. Repeated emails and phone calls were either met with empty promises or completely ignored. They seem to have mastered the art of ghosting tenants as soon as the deposit clears. Speaking of deposits good luck getting yours back. Mine was subjected to utterly fabricated charges. When I requested evidence or a breakdown, I was met with vague replies and aggressive pushback. It’s clear they rely on tenants not fighting back to pocket as much as possible. Their staff are untrained, unprofessional, and in some cases outright rude. Communication is inconsistent, and any attempt to escalate concerns is stonewalled. It honestly feels like a scam operation hiding behind a thin veil of legitimacy. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to my worst enemy. If you’re reading this, save yourself the trouble and run — there are far more honest and competent agencies out there.

From the outset, Emily was outstanding—her professionalism, attentiveness, and consistent communication made the entire purchasing process seamless and reassuring. Despite the delay in leaving this review due to ongoing property renovations and personal circumstances, we felt it was important to extend our heartfelt thanks. Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with, and her support was invaluable throughout. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

20 Park Street, Treforest, Mid Glamorgan, CF37 1SN(204 reviews)16th May 2025 (9 weeks ago)For god sake do not have a property with these people, I had a bedsit with this letting agency and trust me when I say I shared a floor with a bunch of animals, hygiene went out of the window, one of them did his washing in the shower and the other one would not clean the kitchen after him and would not put a toilet brush around the toilet, I left the flat in a better condition than when I took it on, and one of the other guys that moved out would piss in the shower. And by the way the office staff can't do simple maths, I put £230:00 bond down,, after charges of £136:00 I got back £51:00 so there was a hidden charge of £43:00 which I was not informed of. Dont go with these people.

13th Jul 2025 (4 days ago)We had a great experience with Watkins. We first met Nathan while viewing a property and had the best experience as a buyer. Nathan was so relaxed and informative. We really felt at ease and subsequently decided to use Nathan & the Watkins team as we sold our own property. From day 1 they were so professional and we were able to get quick responses to any questions. Dave was our property lead and we sold our house within 3 days of listing, having multiple offers upon viewing. We can’t recommend their professional and modern agency enough. 14th Jul 2025 (3 days ago)Scott Gwyer assisted us recently through the process of acquiring a property for our mother. He is a true professional, very polite, he always answered our questions whether via phone calls or text. Several times we asked to view the property, he was always at the property before the allocated time to meet us, if he was unable to due to traffic, he would contact us immediately. We would not hesitate to recommend Scott in buying/selling any property.

29th May 2025 (7 weeks ago)Mel is absolutely fantastic. She popped to the house for us several times (often with last minute notice). She has always gone above and beyond to explain things to us and help make the usually stressful period much easier and less hectic. 10/10 would easily recommend.

Can't believe if you ask for a viewing after 5pm on a weekday or anytime at a weekend its virtually impossible! Not sarah - she did viewings 7 days a week. I'm sure she'd do viewings at 4am if I asked her! Really friendly and always kept in touch.
